- A collection of Ian Rush goals for Liverpool before he left for Juventus; from his first goal against Oulun Palloseura in 1981 to his last in 1987, against Chelsea.
Sadly, not every game in this period was televised or recorded but (if I've counted correctly) there are 110 of his 207 goals included here.
Thanks to distantvoices, Simon Tyce, Dave Chantry, Lee Gillam, Neil Alzapeidi and David Branch for help with these videos.
A second video, made a few years ago, with Rushie's post-Juventus Liverpool goals is here: • Ian Rush Liverpool FC ... - กีฬา
Brilliant striker. Phenomenal pace and ability to hit the corner of the net. My favourite Liverpool player of all time.
Ian rush the most natural instinct finisher ever seen not a skill he’s always there well it is a skill strikers these days wouldn’t no how good rush was cos get lucky few times not for years an years complete striker for me total legend
Wild seeing Kenny in his heyday, assisting Rush constantly
I think proper world class footballers make it look so simple you take them for granted...header, left foot, right foot, close, mid, long range and he was our one man defensive press
That's where he's criminally underated and how good this Liverpool team was because of a defensive forward that he was absolute work horse both ways.
Ironically, his last goal at Anfield (vs Watford on the 04.05.87) was my first time going to the game. Crazy that the TV cameras were not there on that day.
Brilliant striker.
some fantastic memories here
Brilliant. Some goals on there iv never seen before, well sourced 👏👏👏
From 83 to 87, he was the best striker in the world
Love it - amazing work. thanks for this!
He is the number one goal shooting in my heart
Thanks very much, Dave.
Rushie would always be in my all time LFC 11
Liverpool made everything look easy back then.
My football hero. There never will be one to equal Rushie.
How bad were the pitches back then?
Not one goal rushes was lucky complete legend
He is so underrated, his tracking back was evident early on too. No doubt King Kenny supplying him helped but he was lethal in front of goal, those two have to be the best front two in British football of all time.
Underrated by who?
@@driffter1976 I think he gets overlooked mostly because King Kenny was so good. These days it seems nothing before 1992 and Sky TV existed with some fans. When our greatest ever players get mentioned I don't see him mentioned enough.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 Id agree with that.

You don't have matches anymore because I really miss Liverpool, there is still a season 78 79 80
There will be more matches when I have time. I'm very busy at work at the moment.
@@DaveWallerLFCYour video's are muchly appreciated mate.
Makes me laugh how the pundits talk about the brand new tactics and general BS about modern game....Rush pressed dedenders into giving away possession constantly...Liverpool of that time were nearly unbeatable...and if champions league had existed they'd have been even more dominant..
Probably score a hundred more these days.Players can't get away with chopping you down.Add another Hundred again if he took penalties also took 2 or 3 at most.He was lethal our Welsh and Liverpool legend.
