'Strongest Rival' you got to be on crack to make this dumb statement lol. THey sold like 20 EV in euro in 2 months....BYD is an upcoming rival not all these soon to be bankrupt company
Your reviews are the best. You tell about the cars in a manner like it feels that you are having spontaneous conversation with the person watching. Your reviews feels more real And less commercial like others.
NIO is building Superb sharp cars and using high tech like Nomi and Aquila in addition to power swap stations worldwide is definitely a Game Changer for next generation to come ;)
@@ItsOnlyElectric Can you give us the cargo dimensions from the ET5? From the folded back seats to the trunk too. That would be a interesting comparison with the Model 3. Thank you!
I love the NIO. I don't have to buy that battery which depletes and depreciates and I can always upgrade to the latest battery tech in future. First off, I come from owning Tesla cars. One Model X and one Model 3. My wife's Model X is currently in Tesla Service Center waiting for rear motor replacement due to real drive motor dying at 72,000 miles. My Model 3 has interior rattle noise. It is such a nuisance. I also normally get between 78% and 82% of claimed range only for the Model 3. The Model 3 is not stellar and its Autopilot is not reliable as of 2023. It suddenly slammed on its brakes when I was on the left most lane (the fastest lane in USA) and there was a car in the second right lane slowing down due to merge lane ahead. It has nothing to do with my leftmost fastest lane, but the Model 3 still slammed its brake. The autopilot is also not reliable in rainy or foggy conditions. The side cameras have tendency to be "blocked, and autopilot is disabled" message comes on screen quite often. Tesla needs to spend some money and put some nice radar sensors and LiDAR too, besides the cameras on a Tesla is only 2 mega-pixels, NIO is already using 8 mega-pixels. Tesla cars are cheap for a reason. After owning one for about a year, I am not as impressed as some TH-camrs want me to be.
new subscriber here! nice review. will you also noise test this? because of the single-pane glass, i'm wondering if there'd be poor cabin noise levels.
Very nice video. Great explanation about the properties the car. One pedal driving should be possible soon i guess. Since we have it in China since more than one year as a beta version. Thanks for sharing ⚡️🔋🏁
Yes, you are right. Hope that doesnt happen. But I guess the usage of a phone is a lot more than you drive the car. So will last a lot longer then a phone screen.
Finally NIO came to understaning that they need to sell to a broader consumers market and this model nailed it. Bellow 50K Eur premium sedan, looks sporty and elegant, faster than regular Porsche Panamera that needs 4,4 seconds to 100 KMh and this thing needs only 4s. Cosidering looks, comfort and technology all this for price that average buyer can afford this should be the best seller. Why one would buy Porsche for 200k eur that is slower than NIO? and you need to pay the fuel
Haven't seen the sales numbers for the et5 in Europe yet. First shipment arrived a couple o weeks ago. So we need to wait at least a month before we know.
@@ItsOnlyElectric very sorry looking sales figure for ET7 bet Won't be much different for this too but hey all the best luck to these new start ups we need more EVs that Won't keep us waiting for years to deliver smh
Et7 is the wrong car for Europe. It's not a high volume car and not what Europe prefer. EL7 sales and maybe ET5 is what to look for. Et5 is like model 3, people bought it until a more practical alternative came (model y). Same is going for et5, station wagon or smaller SUVs/cuvs is what Europe wants.
good job. Sell the model y and buy NIO! But you can swap the battery, the range falls to a second priority. With 400KM that's more than enough. Once they have the network of battery stations... who wants to own a battery with all the hassle, no battery, free worry.
@@GM-lq7sw reviewed EL7 a couple of weeks ago. had it for 5 days. Great car but prefer the ET5 in many aspects it's smaller but more practical with foldable back seats and more fun to drive.
Great video.....If NIO were to offer you a chance to buy this ET5 in a RAFFLE.....would you buy a TICKET.. Let say NIO held a RAFFLE of 12,000 tickets at $5 a piece ....This would get people into their stores and also move inventory. ..It would also make MORE people Aware of NIO and what they had to offer. What are your thoughts
@@ItsOnlyElectric You're EXACTLY right...I didn't think about "SUBSCRIPTION" package in Europe.....They Could offer a FREE 3 month Subscription and maybe sell 1000 tickets for $5...Excellent point.
@@ItsOnlyElectric You should Suggest the RAFFLE idea the next time you visit NIO. They don't have to sell actual raffle Tickets. They can use the CURRENCY the person pays with because of the UNIQUE SERIAL NUMBER and simply paste a STICKER with the Date, Persons name and Number on the currency. Have a drawing once a month....Imagine the the Local NEWS Story celebrating with the Monthly winner of the NIO RAFFLE
@@ItsOnlyElectric Preciously! But probably I am a tech guy, so I prefer companies dedicated to doing tech stuff. And I feel BYD is purer with their vertical integrations.
The real question is why would buy a car from a company that is doing close to zero investment and research in new energy vehicle such as the traditional car manufacturers. You can buy a Nokia mobile phone, they were saving their cash 10 years ago.
Let me know what you think about #NioET5 in the comments. 👍

What a nice looking car! Definitely a strong competitor to the Model 3. Will definitely keep this in mind. Thank you for the nice review :)

Great review, I can't wait for NIO to enter Canada & the USA. I will be getting an ET5. $NIO

For Nomi. On main screen hit the gear icon. The first button that pops up mutes Nomi. All from the main screen.
Great tip! I muted Nomi. But the security notification was on a separate setting under the driving menu. 👍

Bruh, nio is the quietest.
To be honest a 75kwh battery with baas will probably be the best option for most people. Way cheaper and you get battery swap for road trips.
Yes, will work for 99% of the people and cases.
Cheaper to buy but a lot more expensive over the lifetime of the vehicle. The swap option is nice but there aren´t many swap stations.

Well done sir!
This car is already behind the latest electric options in this price range in respect to battery size, range and charging speed. And too heavy.
What makes and models are you thinking about?

Good too have both brands on the market.
Why? BYD's are f-ugly
