Coming here on my phone to say that it’s been nearly a week I found your Channel and really love your videos. Hopefully I’d be able to take some of the learnings and put into practice. Thanks a lot for all the videos and advices, please keep making videos
Looking good mate. We did a massive Tiftuf reno on and university lawn the first week in April. Stopped in yesterday and it has bounced back beautifully. I topdressed as well. No dramas at all doing a late season reno on Tiftuf my way.
The Santa Anna is looking great and has really improved, as shown at the end of the video. great job Brenton 👍 Wish my lawn looked like that but it is getting better.
Hi Brentton, i would love to see your channel show us the ways that you would use and the products, to keep a warm season grass, as green and healthy as possible throughout the Autumn and winter months. Seems there's no oversow. I believe that would be some interesting and valuable content and no one really seems to do it. Both lawns are looking good, i probably prefer the Santa Anna, but all couches are nice. How about an area of Qld blue, just for us northern followers. 😀
Hi mate yeah no oversow this year, Ive done them the last few years and want to try something different this year. I do have a bit of QLD Blue out the back in fact it goes pretty bad in the winter. I don't do all that much with it other than mow it with a rotary
That tiff really got a move on and settled in after hoc reset. Iron made the tiff glow more i think. But both look great regardless True credit to you. Get a update out the back before winter?
Surprised that TT bounced back pretty darn good, iv found my Santa Anna lawns in SA have pretty well stopped, 4 weekly mows with less than a catcher. I’m ditching my buffalo for TT come spring, looking forward to taking it to the next level. Btw I know your super busy mate but sent you an email a few weeks ago regarding Turf mites in my own lawn that caused nothing but problems since my first Reno in spring. As always thanks for the upload mate 👍🏻
Yeah it bounced back well, Sorry mate I've got emails and messages a mile high, I honestly cant keep up with them. Leave it with me but yeah it might take me a while
Hey Brenton, what variety of silver flowers are those along your nature strip beneath the street trees? They look like Gazania's but I could be way off. Really love your property and what you've done with it. One tree I highly recommend for your property would be a dwarf grafted flowering eucalyptus like "summer beauty or summer red". They are a WA plant and are eye catching yet small and compact, they are grafted onto a rootstock from East coast so it can handle heavier soils and our rainfall. I grow them in Brisbane and they do so well
Hey mate, thanks for the message you are correct they are Gazania Tomentosa. I do have 2 grafted gums up the back yard . They do grow here but not wonderfully especially due to the occasional heavy frost. (Which we received last year and bunt them almost by half )
They both look great. But that tif tuf is incredible! You do a great job maintaining ur property. I’m in SW WA and unfortunately I think our growing season is over, temps are low 20s and overnights to around 10.. enjoy the last of the growth mate! Also what are your thoughts on eco growth products? They are the most readily available to me without shipping costing me a fortune, the turf supplier I got the turf from uses them but the grass is just kykuyi. Cheers
Nice work Brenton. I wonder if the base under the Santa Ana is different from the Tifftuff? Would that cause a variation in the colour and growth patterns?
The base under the santa is different to the Tiftuf but not in the way you might think. The Santa is grown on what I would consider an ideal turf base where as the Tiftuf is planted on very course river sand (only used it because of floods at the time , Its all I had access to) The differences experienced really are just highlighting the differences between the 2 strains
Hi Brenton, Once again a great video. Did you mix the Iron with the Seaweed Secrets in the same mix? I remember you saying that the iron shouldn't be mixed with the other products as it doesn't mix and goes thick. You did a test cup just to show us what it does. Once again a great video. Steve
Morning mate, It will react to products like Activ8 mate and Activ8 Extra for example but never had an issue with Seaweed but as mentioned to and other person in the comments Ill seek some clarification from PD and report back
Hey mate, great video yet again. On the plant doctor website I noticed in the description of Seaweed Secrets in the Safety Guidlines section it says “NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IRON BASED PRODUCTS.” Does this mean that it can’t be used with the liquid iron? Just put an order through using your code 👌🏻
I have used them together for a long time, But what iI'm going to do is touch base with PD and seek some clarification. Ive never had any issues in the past but leave it with me mate
Update: Spoke to PD and there has been some occasions when a reaction has occurred (I’ve not we’ve experienced it personally) it’s a precautionary warning the other thing to note is they are at different ends of the pH scale.
I know the smell you mean, Because of how we come out of winter the pears never really flower that much like they would in a cooler climate. So the smell is minimal

Too kind, welcome to my channel mate . I try my hardest to do a video every fortnight
Roses also looking good!
Thanks mate yeah they are doing well for this time of year
OMG I want that lawn. Actually I want a Sir Grange lawn but I want it to be that green and flat and stunning. Well done.
Thanks 👍
I'm a little surprised at how quickly it bounced back after the height of cut reset. Good stuff
thanks mate, It just shows what is possible

Wish my TT held that colour at 8mm; I have to be 12-15 to achieve good colour for some reason.
a lot of that colour comes from the fresh new growth, I find at 12mm mine really glows

Cheers mate, Honestly Ive not had anything to do with those products so I cant offer any advice sorry.

G'day moite, How'd your zoysia trial go? Can't recall an update but might have missed it.
Primo is going really well mate, Im overdue for an update on it 😎
what does your watering schedule look like in autumn going into winter?
Once a week post HOC reset recovery and then ill half the quantity once winter hits
@@theaussielawn awesome, thanks for the reply mate

@@theaussielawn yeah that "male" smell 😂😂
@@RaditzAus its more like rotting flesh i think
Looks like your going to get decent rain coming from the west this weekend. Have fun with that.
