The point of the secret recipe spices is that they are right as is, neglecting a spice or adding one would take away from it. Restaurants know the most important thing is to cater to local tastes. Combining the two doesn't make something better, it makes something neither group is really happy with

As an American, I always found it bizarre to hear when foreigners (specifically the UK for some reason) go nuts for KFC. KFC is really not very good imo. I prefer Popeyes or Cane's...or fried chicken from the local grocery store. Edit: Btw...I'm aware Karl is from NZ and not the UK. I'm just sharing my experience.
Oh God popeyes is absolutely disgusting 🤢. Totally tasteless and just dry fried chicken ( Im not exaggerating). I think the types of food you get in kfc and other fast food chains differ a lot country to country. As much a company would want to standardise across all outlets, they still gotta cater to the local population to stay in business. Business comes before authenticity.
Yeah...people over in the UK go bonkers over American Fast Food (McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Five Guys, Starbucks and all the Pizza Giants: Domino's Pizza, Pizza Hut and Papa John's all perform very well here and are often packed) I thought KFC in the UK was much better than in the US (no offence) but then again we do have much better food in the UK than that, like our traditional food as well as many other international types.
China is actually the biggest market for KFC in the world, even outdoing it's native land, the USA. China have over 7900 restaurants while the US have just over 4000. It's pretty interesting.

Yes it's there is curiosity about what white people doing in Indian restaurant with camera .......If you was there you was doing the same probably style was different
There are 2 recipes for KFC, original & extra crispy. The New Zealand chicken he showed is original. The Indian is extra crispy. In the USA, we have both. For decades, KFC had abandoned the original for extra crispy because that's what Americans wanted. Sometime in the late 80's or early 90's, they brought back the original. In the Deep South, people like their chicken deep fried not baked.
The coating is like that because its KFC's Hot and Crispy chicken whereas the one in NZ is the Original Recipe chicken, some KFCs in other countries serve both Original Recipe and Hot and Crispy. Its catered to the type of flavours that the localaties prefer. But I 100% agree about the quality of chicken.
You're right about that. In the UAE, we have both hot and crispy and original. We also have extra spicy. And we also get really good quality chicken. So we get the best of both worlds.
You are right. My friend use to work in KFC in NZ. He also tell us when they are selling crispy chicken because they have some days they offer it. According to him it need more special preparation. This guy I have seen videos he always lie or mislead people for content.
I have lived in New Zealand. Every Indian non dish in any Indian restaurant is sweet in taste. Because gore like it that way. If you have to eat spicy have go to Chinese restaurants. Those are some real spicy just like how we make in north india

High quality or low quality: meat is meat. Is there a difference between a high quality and low quality cock or hen (chicken) corpse? Ultimately you're putting corpses that will just rot in your body.
@@Crazytesseract what a stupid assumption. There are notable differences. For eg a normal country chicken has less flesh and is hard. But broiler chicken has lots of flesh and juices in it. Another example is normal beef which is hard and Japanese wagyu beef is rich in Proteins because it is fed a specific diet..
@@shobithmathew5666 Wagyu doesn’t have different protein, it has better inter muscular fat which when cooked gives the the meat better texture. He is absolutely right! I am an indian based in India, and have tried the KFC from both places. The difference is staggering. But at the same time, there was no difference. I liked the one in India more tho. But the one in India was good too.
Yum.. Just ate KFC last night. We have 2 versions ( Malaysia) classic meals. The original and the spicy. We have both coatings but we prefer the spicy crunchy type .. maybe that is so Asian or at least South East Asian where we enjoy curries and spicy food so we always get chili sauce sachets compared to North East Asians where tomato sauce is a favorite. As Malaysia is multi race and multi religions , chicken meat is the most neutral and so we get fresh chicken meat that is juicy and moist
No man it's a emotion and a beautiful experience...no food can be compared to it! It's a process of joy & love... reaching the stomach! KFC is shit we love biryani & tandoori

Imagine a crispy spicy version of KFC with added secret recipe spices. That would be the best of both worlds.
The point of the secret recipe spices is that they are right as is, neglecting a spice or adding one would take away from it. Restaurants know the most important thing is to cater to local tastes. Combining the two doesn't make something better, it makes something neither group is really happy with
@@kiarrakiarra7269 I choose to disagree. If one can be certain of anything, it's that most Indians love spices.

We have that in South America, it’s called “crispy” and has the spices and some added chilli with the hard crispy exterior, I actually don’t like it lol, that crust tends to soak too much oil and reduces the original flavour of the spices

@@wess3426 What Popeye's have you gone to?
Yeah...people over in the UK go bonkers over American Fast Food (McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Five Guys, Starbucks and all the Pizza Giants: Domino's Pizza, Pizza Hut and Papa John's all perform very well here and are often packed)
I thought KFC in the UK was much better than in the US (no offence) but then again we do have much better food in the UK than that, like our traditional food as well as many other international types.
Here in South Africa people also have a weird obsession with KFC
China is actually the biggest market for KFC in the world, even outdoing it's native land, the USA. China have over 7900 restaurants while the US have just over 4000. It's pretty interesting.

The reason why they taste different is because in developing countries they put a lot of fat rather than meat for more people to buy, even in Latin American countries or Phillipines or India, there is no water in the menu, u can find only sugar drinks...

Daniel Frank true. I was going to write about U.A.E but you already did😂
