It is good to take some time and think about what soldiers in the past and present did or do for us. as well as innocent civilians who suffered as well.
Today I was at a new memorial for the Indigenous Canadians who have fought in many wars but were never thanked.
It's about time.
Couldn't agree more, take time to think about the past and to thank them for what they did to allow us our lives today
Memories. Kanchanaburi was the 1st trip I took from Jomtien when I first lived there in 2005. The War Cemetery was the 1st stop on the tour. Sombre, sad but immaculately kept. A fitting memorial to those brave young men who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Yes something different and enjoyable Trev.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video..l love kanchanaburi..my favourite province
So nice
History , Nature and Riversides. Well can't get much better then this. Looks really great and peaceful. Plus always good to show respect and honor the fallen to. Thank you for sharing Mate. I left a like as usual. Have a good day 👍
Cheers mate
Thanks mate much appreciated
Very heart warming video Trev. Thanks for sharing your story.
Glad you enjoyed it
Just beautiful. So well shot. Dignified and so moving. Thank you. With best wishes.
thank you kindly
I like your video very much Trevor. You make me yearn to visit Thailand
Go for it!
As always thanks Trev. 👍
Thanks mate
These cemeteries show a great respect to the Christian belief. Thailand is over 90% Buddhist. I don't think you would have seen this kind of respect in Malaysia where the dominate religion is Islam. I know there are Christian cemeteries in Malaysia, but not at this level. Says a lot to Buddhism and the Thai people in general. Gave me chills to see this. Almost like seeing Arlington in Virginia or Normandy American Cemetery in France. These in Kanchanaburi are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing Trev!
Cheers mate
You can’t visit the Cemeteries without being touched emotionally
Amazing video trev very beautiful one of your best videos thank you
Glad you enjoyed it thank you
Very emotional. The cemeteries are wonderfully kept. The trip up there is on my bucket list. Great video.
Do it mate, honestly it's fantastic
Monday is Veterans Day in the U.S., originally called Armistice Day commemorating the end of WW I. I recall reading about the dedication of the British War Memorial in Ypres at the Menin Gate with the thousands of names of the missing engraved on the arch. Field Marshal Plumer said, “He is not, missing he is here !” The War Graves you showed us are no less Hollowed Ground. To all of those across the years and to my buddies who I lost in Vietnam, you are here with us today. 21:58 21:58
Thank you
Really enjoyed this mate Thank you

Haha indeed
I highly recommend Kanchanaburi
Thank you
Great stuff, same as a lot of the pics posted on Discord. I was in BKK in April-May, but missed Kanchanaburi for ANZAC Day as I was sick for a week after my plane trip. But will be looking forward to joining one of your trips up in 2025 when I'm back.
Glad your feeling better now mate
I was out in my brothers boat one bay it was nite time &i shone a touch into the water it was the same couloir its gives u a good feeling 😊😊
Nice one
Very respectful. When I went to the mass grave in Kanchanaburi, I am not ashamed to admit I did shed a tear or 2. What a waste of lives. War is Evil
Yeah very emotional mate
Trev what a brilliant video I’ve wanted to go there for ages I’ll definitely come
Save that for later in Soi 6
Cheers mate
really good to do this non profit making trip to this sacred place.
Money has fuck all to do with this
@ glad to here it 👍🏿
The chair view, just one of many of God's Windows 😇🙏
Okay
I booked into a riverside hotel. Big mistake as every 20 minutes a floating disco / party boat came past blaring loud music out! So much for the peaceful quiet sunset on the river Kwai!
To be honest I never thought of that thank you very much for sharing
Nae luck😅
@@Buzzinpattaya Your welcome! It was beyond a joke! I cannot understand how the hotels haven't tried to stop it! Many sharing my views re noise!
My first visit to Thailand was to see my grandfather grave on 11 11 there was a great service laid on and a meal in a village long boat up the river and a train ride through death pass.
It looks like it's changed a lot over the years.
Respect
✌
Thank you
Respectful video 🙏
Thank you
May they rest in the arms of the lord! May he welcome them home to their rest! Well done oh good and faithful servants!
Well said
Great video trev ❤
Thank you!
Nice video Trevor. I have visited that first cemetery you went to as well as the falls and the Erawan dam. The reservoir was massive in size! And the WWII history was well documented. Worth a visit.
Thank you
Hi m8, i have been there in the past, seen the Tigers & also stood on the Bridge over the river Kwai, it was very sad & emotional for me 😢
I found it very hard to look at all the gravestones that the people that sadly lost their lives and it's such a young ages
Very good content in the video and at a apt time .
They use to play that game hammering the nail in down Soi 7 and 8 . The original Sailor bar in the middle of Soi 8 had it .
John Buriram .
Cheers mate I intend to do the game in buzzin it was so much fun
Great video as always respect to fallen that made our lives easier 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Don’t forget asians wear masks when they have colds and infections to stop others from catching
Keep the videos coming great looking trip 👍
Cheers mate
It's not that high Trev l'd say only about 30 metres was only there in early October and also done the water falls beautiful climbed to the top and even got in for a swim beautiful and l second everything you said about the visit to the cemetery so sad and moving 🙏🙏🙏 God Bless all those brave men
Yeah I think you are closer
Great video Trevor. I was in Kanchanaburi earlier this year. I was there for 3 days. It’s a must visit place in Thailand. When I was in Erawan Falls, I was told there’s wild tigers roam there. Not sure if it’s true.
No tigers mate
@ someone obviously high, and thought they seen one lol.
Very true Trev respect mate, I remember seeing a grave of a soldier with my surname, he was 19 when he died. I was heading to Hong Kong at his age, it really does make you realise what you have. Will be going again in a few weeks just packing now see you next week mate.
Clippers!
Yeah it's a very moving experience
i loved the 7 water falls but even after swimming and showering my body temp took hours to drop back down lol
Wow wonder why that was
5.30am !! Crazy
Worth it
Hi Trevor that was really good video and Kanchanaburi it's very beautiful and I'm impressed how look their cemetery very clean and well maintained and it's a place me personally I go when I travel different countries to give my respect like in Hawaii "Pearl Harbour" it's a reminder that in a war nobody wins and lots of people are dying and it's always for money and power when everyone should concentrate to help the people in disasters like tornado or big flood and with the climate change it's just gonna gets worst sadly. And your walk in the mountain wow that's very nice over there the big falls that definitely when I'm there if you go back I will be on that trip at 100% thanks for sharing and can't wait for part2 have a excellent day Trev and take care and stay safe my friend sawatdeekhrap kopkounmakkrap. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Cheers mate thank you and yes a very emotional time to reflect
Morning Trev! Great video mate! I'm a veteran like yourself. Good to relearn about our history, even though it can be sad. I'm hoping to visit the skywalk when I visit next month. There is a skywalk at the Grand Canyon in Arizona USA. We need to visit that one too. Thailand has some very beautiful countryside!
cheers mate and yeah totally agree

Great Trev ,is there enough to do there for 5 days
Yes mate there is but in all honesty it would mean you spent more time at each place I think three days is enough
@Buzzinpattaya thanks
Trevor, many people say I'm a hero because I'm very good-looking. I say. I'm just a guy doing his job. Mayday!Mayday! Girls you are going-down. (?)
good for you
These were boys not men that died our heroes, full respect that you should show this video on the weekend of Rememberance Trev.
These war cemeterys are kept to the highest standard of maintenance all over the world mainly still paid by the British Government.
Thank you mate
Good video Trev, do you do a trip once a month?
I’ll see you Feb and might join in on the fun 😀
Yes mate that's our plan
@@Buzzinpattaya cool, thanks for the reply 🙏
😊 I'm not having it Trev, no way Coops managed to climb to the top of the waterfalls all on his own, I reckon you gave him a piggyback?😂
No piggybacks mate but a few verbal encouragements lol
How long approx to walk up the Waterfall Trev ?
Steady climb is an hour

Very moving mate
Fantastic video trev I've done the water falls many time's it looks like they have made it easier under feet now for walking
It was better this time than last time I went
Bloody hell Trev did you not learn judging distance in the Army 5555.....The skywalk is 12m (40ft) high not 50 to 60m
Haha looked higher when you were up there lol
I think no way 50-60 metres high 😅
I would bet you a drink on that
I am sure it’s less than 30 metres high
No worries
People say I'm Jesse James really I'm James Jesse, in the bedroom you have to be GI Jane. Who knows what can happen.
Never say never
Internet crime is killing Pattaya. I have been here twice this year, and each time someone has cleaned out my bank account. If you wonder where these Indian gentlemen get the money to pay for a 5,000 masaage, check you bank account. UK banks say it is impossible to withdraw money without out the card being present. The Bangalore boys knwo different
Wow am sorry that has happened to you
Trevor, there are not "people" buried in that cemetery. They were" men" . A breed and time of the greatest generation we will never forget. I wish not to be personally critical ,but if you as a marine were buried there ,would you want to be refered to as "people"? I think not.
This modern bullshit wokist speak culture really annoys me and i just wish our community would draw the distinction and use the english language properly and accurately.
Glad you have got out of Pataya at last! You produce some great entertaining content .really enjoyed the video thanks .
Cheers
All gave some, some gave all. 🪖🌺🙏
