      @@mtha7796 First of all that was done by the military and those Rohingyas also fought with native Arakans. They supported Islamic rebels who were trying to break away from not just the union of Burma but also from the Arakan state. Even tho some of them were from the colonial period most came from Bangladesh in the Pakistan-Bangladesh war and refused to leave. Their population also boomed and mostly lived on government funds.I don't believe the genocide is the solution but don't let them fool you as they are the victim . And Myanmar is a multi-ethnical country which has lots of internal conflicts so spreading misinformation is not acceptable.

    • @mtha7796

      @@heinphone3535 Rohingyas are not active rebels compared to other groups and that's not the reason you won't give citizenship to them. Very little incidents done by Rohingyas and took place after the genocide event during Suu Kyi rule. Because that's where they started gaining support from other Islamic connection.

    As well, I live in Malaysia, I am Burmese, I feel sad for Aung San Suu Kyi and they are many people that suffer, Even my grandparents, they don't had nothing to eat, just fish or rice. And I pray for Myanmar and my grandparents and how much people suffering from Myanmar and the War is unrespectful for the grandparents or kids, Many Kids got bombed by the war and the poor babies too.And houses burn down or exploded. I always pray for Myanmar.

  • @blargvlarg1390
    @blargvlarg1390 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +399

    Uugghh... As Burmese myself, these kinds of videos always make me uncomfortable. Look, $100 is a lot of money for us. Heck, a hearty breakfast for me can be had with just about $1. And yet, with the turmoil all around the country, prices rise astronomically while our pay remain stagnant. The government may even arrest your employers if they dare, I mean, DARE to give you raises because their incompetence might get exposed. Realise the fact that many of us now earn about 3 dollars, if not less than a dollar, a day, and these "$100 in Burma" type videos are just... very saddening for us.

      I'm sorry you have to endure hardships in your life related to government instability. I truly hope things turn around for you and your country. That being said, videos like these are extremely important to bring awareness to the rest of the world about what's happening with your currency. When more people know that the general population there are victims of their own government's financial warfare, more pressure gets put on international leaders to intervene

    • @tommycscat
      @tommycscat 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Granted, the primary motivation for international intervene would be financial. Corporations with political sway want your money. In order to get your money, you need to have money and your government can't be suppressing your ability to build enough wealth to engage with the international economy. Yes, mega-rich mega corporations want more money. What else is new? However, said corporations' quest for your money depends on your financial situation improving. Hopefully something like this, another intervention, or a combination of interventions can improve your quality of life

    Lucky Seven Restaurant is a really good restaurant, every Waiter is very polite and Humble, you can make jokes with them and they would laugh but not sure if they would understand English.The one you went to in the video was the usual place I visit for breakfast. Despite the fact that you can easily cook, ပဲပြုတ် ထမင်း ဆီဆမ်း and chicken curry with mohinga soup is one of the best meals i can eat for a breakfast in Lucky Seven.

    Interesting video. It is terrible when you think about it. The state of the country due to the ongoing issues. And, if you look at it from a capitalist viewpoint, look at all the gemstones that come out of / used to come out of the country. All that geological wealth that could help the population. Dare I add, likewise, Russia too. Both full of nature's treasures that could help the general population. And, looking at the buildings, (Myanmar) you can see the wealth that was there. It's sad. But on a plus, I was surprised to see my name in the video, thanks :) Safe travels.

    Some famous places in Yangon: M tower, Lotte hotel, The Central, Myanmar plaza, Time city, star city, 68 residence, Sule Shangrila, Sakura tower, Golden city condo, Pullman hotel, Pan pacific, etc... There are several KFCs, Pizza huts, Gloria Jean coffee, Krispy Kremes, Uncle Tetsu, Marry Browns, etc... You can rent a decent apartment in Ok+ neighborhood in YGN for 100$ per month. You can eat out at decent place for 100 times.

      an apartment for 100$ (for a foreigner) is probably not very decent - especially now the housing/rental prices soared - as many people (who can afford it) from areas like Sittwe, Lashio, Mandalay move to Yangon (which is relatively safe) - so rental properties are in very high demand.
