Thanks a lot, I am an old Raspberry Pi user but only on headless mode, now I'have a Pi400 and the 64bits OS and it's a lot of fun. Thanks for your video, I discovered plenty of things!
AWESOME video! I've just spent several hours doing research for my first Raspberry Pi build, and wow, incredible! All running from a powerbank! Can't beat that!
You just keep killin man. KiLLLLLIIIIIIN IT! Why? Hell I don't have a problem installing stuff on my P64bit. In fact, I converted last year to the Beta, still haven't updated to the release (letting everyone else bug test that for me, hehehe) and I LOVE IT! Why do I dig Pi-Apps? Because I get these LISTS of all these COOL THINGS I DIDN"T KNOW ABOUT, that I can install on my pi... Am I Yellin? HAHAHA!!!! YES I AM CUZ YOU KEEP KILLIN IT! Hands down my fav pi channel. Always look forward to your stuff. KEEP IT UP LUKE! THANKS!!!!!
Thanks for publishing your top 10. I see that when you used Synaptic it highlighted the dependent apps to install as well. But there were other other addins I could install that only had short explanations. - What is an easy informed way to read about the addins that give a more detailed explanation to help me make an informed decision? - If I select an adding, how do I know which dependent apps go with them?
I have my Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Pi haven't updated yet to the 64 bit OS yet but you gave me some modivation to get it and try some of the app's you decribe in your video. Thank Luke good job :) Oh, I subscribed and liked as well. 😀👌
@@laurentmangane4897 I’m not fully sure.. It may require a 64 Bit system and I was on bullseye. (I’ve installed a separately compiled version on 32 bit Raspberry Pi OS before.. but now that compiled version is probably outdated.)
My RPI4 is also running a 64bit Raspi OS but buster and does not know Stacer. In fact, tonight I took the time to etch a bullseye SD and after booting my RPI4 on it, I was able to install stacer through apt. Unless one comes back to the compiled outdated version, I deduce that bullseye is mandatory for stacer to be installed via apt.
Are you running this OS from an SD card, if you don't mind me asking. I ask because, I'm running the same OS too, from SD card and my Bluetooth doesn't work. However, if I run same OS from a USB stick, it works?
I got an unrelated question but im gonna ask anyway, i use the sd card as the os and i dont have enough memory anymore.. can I plug in a memory stick? I’m worried if it might think the usb has the OS, thanks. 😊
Useful information, but I have some hearing difficulties and do you really need that music in the background? It would be much easier to hear without it...
I need to figure out if Plex is on piapps because it's not the hardest app to install but it certainly is not easy. Or I need to find an OS that makes it a little easier to install it.
@@Lukes-Tech Thanks, I'm check that out. Greatly appreciate it. I have one setup as my plex server already but stuff happens and I want to start testing with my other RPI
Raspberry pi 4 arm apps? I really wish the raspberry pi had a x86 or x64 processor, as that would make stuff much easier (I could use vms in rpi). Maybe rpi 5 model b?
Hi!! Anyone smart who can help me? I use the Raspberry board as a desktop, and the Raspberry PI OS operating system, I lack a download manager program (accelerator). Is there such a program to install ??
I haven’t personally tried this but after a google search, I found something on the Raspberry Pi Forums. It says the a downloader called “uget” is in the repositories. (I don’t know if it’s on 64 Bit, 32 Bit or both). You can try sudo apt install uget. Hope this helps!
Sadly it won’t work, because wine requires box86. Box86 only works on 32 bit systems, and this is a 64 bit system. (I think there may be a back way but I’m not very familiar with it.)
There is only one application I would use on my Pi 4, and that's steam. and maybe retroPie for emulating the Apple II computer (even though I own an actual Apple IIe and a IIc.)
Ive been trying to install retropie on raspberry pi os 64 bit when it finally finishes it says it failed to install what am i doing wrong any tips thanks

I made it, Mom!! 👀 😂
Yeah! Me too!
There's always something new for me in these top XX lists that I would like to try after seeing it, so thanks for that! Keep those PI videos coming!

Certainly many nice apps, PiOS 64 is a godsend.
Some good ones ! Thanks
I hadn't seen Stacer before. Thanks for the mention.
Glad to help!
Neither me and my apt does not recognize this package. Is it in buster or is bullseye mandatory to install it ?

I really like your vidoes Luke. Keep up the great work.

Cool man. Nice list

I ask because, I'm running the same OS too, from SD card and my Bluetooth doesn't work. However, if I run same OS from a USB stick, it works?
That is definitely strange.. I’m running this from a USB stick. I honestly don’t really know of a solution for you, sorry.
Just a lil announcement, I'm the guy who added Firefox on Pi-Apps and SYNCING doesn't work on either of the firefox versions. :D
I see. Anyway thanks for the great work!
Nicely done.
Luke if it's possible, could you please show us how to use Box64? :)
I've installed it, but have no idea how run the x64 softwares
Do you know if these would be recommended for Raspberry Pi 5? I would not be surprised if it is, but I want to make sure.
Luke can you please do a video on how to mount a nas drive on the pi thank you

Wps office!! :) nice video
:) Thanks!
If it is available, Notepad ++ would be of help as well.
You can run it using box86 and wine! (However, that’s much easier to setup in a 32 Bit OS)
Along with Synaptics I always install apt-xapian-index, which adds a quick search bar to it ;)
Little late to the game but can any or even some of this benefit a PI 3 B+ user?
Useful information, but I have some hearing difficulties and do you really need that music in the background? It would be much easier to hear without it...
Thank you. Sorry, I will take the music into consideration.
Nice video. Tried to install stacer, but it's not super simple to install. In fact, it can not be installed on Pi OS 64 afaik....
Are you on Bullseye? I haven’t tried it on Buster. On bullseye it was a one line install for me.
I need to figure out if Plex is on piapps because it's not the hardest app to install but it certainly is not easy.
Or I need to find an OS that makes it a little easier to install it.
I’m not sure if it’s in Pi-Apps. If it’s not, you could follow this installation guide:

Will Pi apps work with Kali since they are both Debian?
Yeah, for most things it should work. You could run into the occasional issue, but overall it should work.
Thanks 😊
How to install wine on raspberry pi os 64 bit?
It’s currently not easily possible, I think you’ll need to use a 32 Bit OS.
How can i install wine on this 64 bit os??..
Sadly it won’t work, because wine requires box86. Box86 only works on 32 bit systems, and this is a 64 bit system. (I think there may be a back way but I’m not very familiar with it.)
Down the road it would be far easier, newer wine releases will use box64 even to run 32 bit win apps.
Does pi apps work on raspberry pi 3 b+?
There is only one application I would use on my Pi 4, and that's steam. and maybe retroPie for emulating the Apple II computer (even though I own an actual Apple IIe and a IIc.)

Noted, thanks!
Can you do this on the raspberry pi400
Yep, you can.
i am back
Welcome back :)
WTF does a linux OS need to have emulator to run linux apps
why did u change yt name
It allows me to expand to other topics and I feel like it’s a better name overall.

Stacer might only be available for 64 Bit Raspberry Pi OS. I’m not completely sure though.
This complication is spot on. 👍
