got my usb-c adapter and fired up my RPi, I didn't do many of the above things like setting up user accounts. Did couple of those sudo commands. I'm amazed this little thing works like a big desktop or laptop. Since can't go away where this Friday night might as well jump in and get some Linux experience with this RPi. This is great to see. I'm looking at teaching my son Linux and getting him a Raspberry Pi shortly and I was happy to see your kids were having fun using it
Hey Chuck, you got me over the hump that I feared without even notice it in the command line. I followed you while looking and simply install all kinds of software on my raspberry Pi4 8gig. Magic, now the next vide. I do taking it slower your life video are difficult to following being on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean + 6 hours Thank you for taking out the time making these video’s.

That intro man! haha, I can't wait to teach my kids! Great video thanks. So funny I was watching you on CBT Nuggets and then I got the youtube notification
I never imagined I'd be learning about Raspberry Pi from a kid! Chuck, thanks for making Network seem easier than a college professor. I always enjoy your content
the intro is basically a visual description of project managers
yes
Thank you for being a FANTASTIC teacher (and a great dad to your girls). I am learning so much from you. Your girls are adorable! :)
Great I’ve clicked on link and ordered the kit expect questions when it arrives 😄
i remember seeing this video a long time ago. However, just met a couple kids on our campground we are full-time RV'rs. I love to teach and I was looking to get started first!. - now to the next steps see if they are even curious about computers and build their own. I'll look to get the canakit for them. Thank you Chuck!
The manning brothers father trained his sons to become Superbowl champion quarterbacks. You know what I'm getting at. This man trains his daughters to be major tech billionaires
I like the way you think ;)
Most professional and easiest way to teach Thanks man Just wanna meet you someday ! If you are watching this comment I'm just a cool coffee tea lover guy like you but you are absolutely Genius! Keep up
“Let’s go heat up the sink!” Had me dead😂
Your enthusiasm for this stuff is so contagious!
I love the intro so much!
perfect...the fact that learning it to children is great because makes their future (I wish I could learn this when I was their age)
I often forget to “sudo” commands. When I press enter, I have the error message that reminds me that I need root powers to execute the command. So, instead of pressing arrow up, ctrl-a, type “sudo” and enter, I go for the bang-bang. Typing “sudo !!” after the message error will sudo the previous command.
Useful tip! Thank you!
I simply write “sudo su” . So I don’t have to actually press sudo anymore
wow that's actually pretty handyy! thankss ;)
Jaiyank Saxena welcome bro

Doing that is bad practice.
Your a great dad, training your children to use Linux. Coding is the next important thing and I can't wait till I use their version on Facebook lol!
Punchline: "Setting-up you're own Raspberry PI. It's so easy, even my little kids can do it!"
Man,you're daughters are so adorable and you are an awesome dad and a great person.
Thank you so much for sharing all that information.
Love youre channel keep posting 🙌
Love your shirt. Your girls are so cute. You have inspired me to do more with the raspberry pi with my grandchildren.
THIS is the way to educate kids! Learn them things they actually have use for when they grow up. Way to go Chuck! Big fan of your tutorials.
Lets heat up the sink!! 😂😂😂 so cute!
Your kids are gonna be so smart growing up, I’m happy for your family!
1:41 the most beautiful advertisement I've ever seen ..😍😍
For the price, and what it can do, it's truly a marvel in its own right.
Just discover the channel and it sounds great! I can always trust a guy with that beard :)
Thank you for making this "family-friendly" & FUN. I was able to encourage a friend to get her 8 y.o. a Pi using your video.
Those kids don’t know how lucky they are 😭
So touching to see a blossoming relationship between father and daughters, precious moments.
"Let's go heat up the sink"
GOTHIIIM!!!
Absolutely adorable that makes all the tech stuff normal!
My raspberry pi 4 always connects to my wifi when i boot it without having to connect it myself
i just take it to school or anywhere and plug it to a powerbank and it auto connects to my hotspot and i vnc in to do all fun stuff
I like your speach. My native language is Russian, but I can understand when you speck fluently. Thanks for video!
"make that work"
LOL love it
I do the same thing you did at (2:30) " Leave my Office" with my daughter.
My daughter watches your videos.
*drops the box* Make that work!
yup I see that you have some experience with IT management 🤣
Haha, it’s just nice to be on the other side of it ;)
Best father, best teacher, best hacker, best youtuber.
What can i say more
"NOW GET OUT OF MY OFFICE."
~ Chuck
I’m ten and I have a pi 3 and this is the best video on the internet to learn to code
Where did the Berryboot Download link for the Pi 3, 2 and 1 go?
yeah, I struggled to find these as well. You can find them here:
sourceforge.net/projects/berryboot/files/
I also found that simply copying the unzipped files to sd card doesn't work.
Try using the downloaded .zip file with Raspberry Pi Imager:

0:49 let's go, heat up a sink lmao
I wish my professor treat me like a kid as well, so I would understand wth he's trying to say XD
Your videos are amazing! I just ordered a Raspberry Pi 4 for my 6 year old son. He is very much interested in exploring new stuff(He likes playing and building things in LEGO) and would love to start off with this!!!
"Lets go heat up the sync" 😂
Wrong kind of sink. It's "sink" as in "kitchen sink" not "sync" as in "synchronised"
got my usb-c adapter and fired up my RPi, I didn't do many of the above things like setting up user accounts. Did couple of those sudo commands. I'm amazed this little thing works like a big desktop or laptop. Since can't go away where this Friday night might as well jump in and get some Linux experience with this RPi. I was impressed it has all the stuff like a web browser, Libre office to do word docs and spreadsheets. Even save stuff in PDF! I've got a zillion ideas but currently brainlocked on what to do with this thing at the moment.
let's go heat up a sink
Yooo, this guy is a teacher.
I love the examples he comes up with. Very good.
Amazing video as always, but I already know your wife lectured you about giving the girls coffee haha
love when you include your family in your videos, of course love your videos thanks for your work
bwahaha! "Now, Get out of my office" "Okieee. I'll get out of my office".
