@beardedthriftmachine - You were in my suggestions today, and I’m so glad you were! Love the way you guys shop and show us comps. You are both so nice and respectful to each other, too, which makes watching truly enjoyable. New sub❤
Our Goodwill has become so expensive that there isn't much point in shopping there anymore. I have found some items priced higher than the same items still being sold new at the Dollar General Store. Every time they rearrange the store they mark everything up.
Same here. I have not been to a goodwill in a long time. All the thrift stores in my area are copying the goodwill. I don’t shop at them anymore. Better off to buy new. It’s sad. 😢I used to love shopping there. When my kids were small I bought most of their clothes there. No one knew unless I told. They were always dressed nice and at a bargain. What do people do now if they don’t have a lot of money??
No, it's not a candle holder, it's a menorah. An amazing, beautiful menorah. I always rescue them when I find them at Goodwill to prevent people to use them disrespectfully.
A brutalist style of artwork I think and yes it's a menorah. My he has someone checking all the values and if it's something it goes on line. Which I don't think is fair, I get that they are a business but there inventory is free . Well enough said

I quit shopping at Goodwill because of the four women who are standing at the door every morning waiting to go in and grab all of the deals for RESALE!!! The cashiers seem to hide the expensive purses so these ladies can get them too. I mean, what are we to do? Gut punch them over a purse? 😂😂😂 Theyre getting way too high on their prices anyway... but we can still do yardsales snd find great buys
Goodwill is supposed to be under orders to notify "corporate" of anything obviously expensive. Then they send folks around to pick them all up to sell on THEIR website. 😮😒😡
My mother made my 32-year-old son the entire set of stuffed nativity set figurines in 1992. Every year he comes home for Christmas they are still set up in his room.

Hi! The Burton wallet finish is called “burnished”, it’s a dying technique. It’s used on all types of leather goods, shoes, purses, jackets, etc… so the wallet was made to have that look… hope this helps! 😊
That hydraulic lift part was from a Hoyer lift, used mostly in nursing homes and rehab facilities to move patients from bed to chair, chair to bath, etc. Used them many times (former paramedic)
Usually the “volunteers” or some of the employees specifically work there to gain FIRST access to donations coming in, THEY GET FIRST DIBS! FYI, they literally can’t take “everything” but know if there is exceptional value & they are there, THAT IS WHERE IT GOES!!!
And they call their friends, had a lady show up after I grabbed some stuff and put in my cart, I stepped 2 feet away from it and she literally went in after everything I had in my cart…I stopped her and she was acting like it wasn’t mine, I asked what she wanted and she went on and on about these Paula seen cooking plates I had grabbed ( I left a few on the rack which she had grabbed) and I said “ well I don’t need them all and I gave her 4” and then she wanted them all! And started to make a scene…. I just walked away and made sure she didn’t get anymore, and she was hovering everywhere I went, then he “Friend” who worked there came out and she was over there telling her about it and that employee started to come for me, and I just walked to the register, as I bought them the lady said some other lady was asking where they all went, so there is plenty of shady stuff going on at GW these days…
My first job out of high school was at Goodwill. When I worked there, everything was For Sale. Even employees who needed help the most were denied first dibs on merchandise.
Goodwill has no clue what they have. My sister bought a costume jewelry ring for less than $4.00. When she showed it to me I looked at the setting and told her it wasn't costume jewelry. We took it to the jewelry store and they appraised it at almost $600.00. I also donated a $100.00 purse that I used once. When I went back a few days later they had priced it at $5.99. A lady was looking at it and I told her what I paid for it and she bought it. Pure leather and a top brand name.
Love your booth set up! You found the most interesting looking menorah and the Victorian brass piece. Truly different style than I have ever seen. It has to be old. Great work on all the items found. Have a fun weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Upping prices works for us. We were selling a hand-made wooden yarn bowl for $45 - it didn't sell. Waited a month and then listed it for $55 and it sold. Go figure.
Great finds! I went to a Goodwill and a Savers out of town yesterday and several yard sales here locally today and only bought 3 items for a total of five dollars. Just finding nothing for resale anywhere lately it seems. 🤷♀️

Sorry lol I have adhd I also wanted to say our local stores each have different schedules to when they set out. Find out what those are at your fav ones and you’ll find some cool stuff. One sets out only after 2pm & one only sets out 2 days (Tuesday & Wednesday) then they do a massive clearing of the shelves at the end of the week (Friday & Saturday) so that they can stock again when they open on Tuesday. So going on Tuesday mornings at that one is always a bust & for resellers going on Thursday if you went on Wednesdays doesn’t benefit you much. Except I will say recently I’d bought a Disney Playset and realized once I got home that I had actually seen other pieces at the store to that set that I left behind. Because it’s a smaller store with this odd schedule I was able to go back to that toy section 2 more times 😅 but eventually got that set completed again. Knowing the pieces were there cause I remembered seeing them and missing them lol really bugged my OCD. Good thing the store is only 5min down the road 😅.
