Totally agree lost my fiance suddenly on my birthday 13yrs ago I just started celebrating my birthday just a little bit recently in the last 2 yrs because of new fiance I still go lite a candle on my birthday for fiance lost I "check in" once a yr with him my life is totally different with new fiance in a good way 😊 but the tragic way I lost him has never left me you VALUE LIFE way different after a loss like tht little things don't bother you ,it can ALL BE GONE IN SECONDS and life will never BE THE SAME treasure holding hands watching movies together

Been with the wife 40 years in metro Detroit, and thrifting is why. We never took to gambling or intoxicants, but with dozens of resale shops all around, the thrill of the hunt was all we ever needed 👍

Love thrifting with fiance I've taught him to thrift I've told him over & over I don't mind getting " preowned" jewelry as long as it matches description of wht I wanted I've introduced him to etsy mercari I KNOW HE SHOPPED ETSY for some of my Christmas 🎄 I was so PROUD 👏🏽 I just taught him about Google lens 😊 I love THRIFTING

I live in Pawleys and frequent the same Goodwills and thrifts stores as you do and I never find anything as good as you do. I’m not a reseller, just love to browse and collect. I love to watch you two.

Same. Everything at my Indiana goodwills are broke. Stuffed on the shelves and dirty. Everything is dirty. We have a place called villiage thrift. Way cheaper. Tons of stuff. Tags on sale everyday. Goodwill really raised prices to much for me. There’s a lot. Maybe like 15 ish Villiage thrifts in Chicago. I’m in Indiana but literally half hr from Chicago. Lucky enough to have a villiage here in northwest Indiana The Region

Best advice from people who are married for 50+ years....never stop dating/wooing your wife Julian! Take her on that picnic, plan it all yourself and do all the work (get all the food supplies etc)!

Color Street is expensive! I've bought them before & they're $13-$15 a package. Still cheaper than a manicure though. Great find Kayla!
There was a TH-camr who talked about an area where the Chinese had lived in the early 1900 to 1950. They had many of these wine containers. Some were found in a water bed when the water was low it revealed boats that sunk 50 or more years ago.

You can tighten the drum cover leather by slowly exposing it to heat. If it doesn’t tighten enough wait until it’s cold then tighten the ropes, but not too much.

I find shoes worth buying only rarely. I do run into the occasional hat, I live in a small town so it hit or miss. But thanks to you, Ive started to see "quality" in random things I might have never noticed before.
Ive also learned to handle everything - get your hands on it if its intact and look close. This takes time, so you gotta be willing to dig in.
The finger skateboards from the 90s are called Tech Decks and are a BOLO. I've been going through all of my son's this week, shocked at the prices I'm seeing. All those 90s kids are reliving their childhoods now.

The claw machine needs a coin (usually a plastic coin) put into the slot in the front to activate it. Try a butter knife to test it out.

Wife and I Watched this video last night and commented on the Dinosaur crane game, we've never seen one before. Today we went thrifting at a local Goodwill her is San Antonio. As usual we split up to cover as much area as we can I was checking out toy section when I came across a Dinosaur Crane game in new condition. When i finally caught up to my wiffe we had a good laugh. Thought about Flipping it but we are going to keep it for grand kids when they visit this summer.

I had the same issue on previous shows & found out that you don’t tap the bid bar, you swipe right on it to bid. Maybe that was your issue too?

I bought a grab machine like that for my son. There is little coin slot that you empty from underneath. His one wouldn’t work unless you put one of the coins in so maybe worth a try 👍 good luck

1st time seeing your channel in my feed. You ought to post your doggie in the new jacket as a thumbnail or something. Dog lovers might check it out. Your dog is not a common breed I see on YT, so it sets you apart. Just a suggestion. I enjoyed shopping with you guys. Hubs & I are busy with a herd of horses & rarely have time to thrift shop anymore.

The ceramic goose head is a apron holder and are worth some money. I bought a bull head for about 50. It was setting next to the thing Kayla was taking the picture of.
The handled container at the 7:24 mark is probably cast iron made to look like distressed bronze or brass. You should carry a small magnate to examine them. It effects the value, ~ Was it missing a "Head"??

With the claw machine: Some times it's a real source of satisfaction to fix something like that. One day, when you are bored, take it apart and see if you can fiddle with it.

Color Street does dry out if not used within at least a year of purchasing from the company, the peel starts to dry out and lose its flexibility as well. My SIL is a demonstrator so I have experience with this, otherwise, it is a good product when used in a timely manner.

Just feel like I should point out, about those brass knobs you found in that box, those are for sure not what was originally in the box, they pulled off the old knobs and replaced them with some knobs that had pictures of fruit on them, so it's quite possible that those were from the USA.. never assume what the box says is what's in the box in a thrift store
