      👋🏾😄🤗💝😅Happy Wkend Adanna!
Thank you for being strong and sharing with us all. Yes! Yes! Ladies! Please listen to your body...Sending you love🩷💞 and light. Praying for healing inward and outward for you my dear You are strong!🤗💗💗
It is well. It will be well🙏🏾🙏🏾This has happened to me and i'm a mum of 4 at 43 and i'm done now, and it happened before my 3 & 4th when I was 38yrs old...i did not take any birth control either, mine stopped after 3.5mths and i conceived, delivered safely & it started again before my 4th...i still didn't take any meds still but i changed my diet to OMAD and consuming rich green foods and fruits as i do not like meds at all as well. Please Ask for a female Gynaecologist nx time and i'm so glad you got one and from Niger🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾, some male Dr are stimes unattentive & dismissive.
From my experience....our bodies differ but it's better to keep researching and you are so strong and brave💞✊🏾💪🏾 as you keep going on with your normal day and life, yet you are having this experience...i am so proud of you and i wish you a successful outcome and speedy recovery🙏🏾🙏🏾. Thank you so so much for sharing and educating us all...really love you more and more...i have stopped bleeding and my period has gotten back to normal as i record it every month, it 3yrs regular...it has gone from almost 2wks to 4-5 days with no pain...i pray and hope for thesame for you. Keep on monitoring your body till you are ready... love you loads Boo💝💗💗🤗

Adanna you are me and I'm you. My body went through the same thing, having heavy periods with clots sometimes for 3 month's. I would literally not have periods for almost a year. God is good, i even got pregnant and hadn't had periods for like 6 months or so. My bundle of joy is here now and sometimes they come and sometimes they don't. I'm even used to it.

This is my exact diagnosis. It was a hard pill to swallow when receiving the news because there isn’t much info out about EH. I had an IUD for 2 weeks and it was extremely painful. I requested for them to take it out and find me another option. They put me on progesterone-only pills. So it’s almost like BC but not quite. I am almost done with the prescription and then will have another procedure, either biopsy or Hysteroscopy to see if the hyperplasia has ceased. Praying hard! God has the final say. This video really helped to listen to.

I currently have a Copper IUD. (These are the ones that last for ten years).
I had my first one inserted after the birth of my son in 1997. I received the next IUD in 2007 and my final IUD was inserted in 2017 when I was 48.
I am dealing with menopause now so I will not have another one inserted in 2027.
    They have been a blessing.
The reason I chose to go with the IUD is because I got pregnant with my son while taking the birth control pill!😂
You are a strong black woman. I take my hat off to you for not giving up and finding out the cause of your sickness.
    God Bless You😊

I am so sorry that you went through that! I have struggled with uterine fibroids for years. I had heavy bleeding that lasted 10-15 days. My issue can NOT compare! I bounced from doctor to doctor for 4 years until finding a surgeon that would give me a myomectomy. It is so hard when doctors treat you like a number instead of a person. It is good to see you smiling despite the circumstances

I'm so sorry you went through this. A lot of doctors just look at the symptoms and treat those instead of trying to actually find the problem. I had the worst periods with cramps so severe i would stay home from school, and the doctor just gave me birth control. I didn't find out until i was pregnant at 36 that i had a fibroid and i was estrogen dominant, so birth control was the worst thing for me. I changed my diet and started eating foods that balance my hormones, and started taking vitamins like iodine and dim that support reproductive health, and cured myself. I also now have a black female doctor who actually takes the time to listen to me. You have a choice. Do your research and find natural remedies. Synthetic hormones are not the answer. I wish you the best sis. Thank you for sharing.💕💕

Hello Lady, I actually have had an IUD for 1yr now. It has helped me manage painful periods. I was told when I was pregnant with my son that I have a 1inch fibroid and years after I keep having these pains before my period arrives. When I was in college around age 18-19, I had on going periods that lasted about 6weeks. They were so heavy that I always had to wear double pads and still change them every few hour. I hear you said the bleeding and pain lasted a few years. I feel for you if it was anything like what I went through. All I can say is you will love the IUD being a person who doesn't like to remember taking pills. There's the non hormonal one so you won't gain weight. Just take an ibuprofen maybe 1hr before Insertion and you should be good after.

    Hi Adanna,
I am not usually one to comment on videos, but your story so closely replicates my journey, I had to say something.
I spent years bleeding, in pain, going to many doctors, including nathopaths, trying many types of birth control, and I had two surgeries. Nothing helped until I began drinking green smoothies and taking maternity vitamins. I know it sounds crazy, but I have now been problem free for nine years. Thank you, Jesus!

One thing about these doctors we tend to forget is that they are not all healers. They will do what they are taught which is to cut people or pump them with pills.
One thing that will heal you my sister is food. Eat the right things, and your body will take care of itself.

Ladies, let this be a cautionary tale. If you feel your doctor is not paying attention to your concerns or you feel they're not providing you with the care you deserve, find another provider. There are so many conditions that could have attributed to these symptoms that may have needed medical attention years ago. Birth control of any kind is not the end all be all fir gynecological issues. A healthy menstrual cycle shouldn't last longer than three to four days, shouldn't be painful, and you shouldn't lose a lot of blood. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. Be vocal. Be firm. Trust me when I tell you, doctors DO NOT care if you go to another provider. Get as many opinions as you need.

You don’t need birth control to improve your progesterone . You can be prescribed micronized progesterone which is the only form of progesterone theta identical to the kind your body produces.

This is the first time I’ve heard anyone’s story that was so close to my story, from the age it started, the multiple doctors, the months of non stop bleeding, putting in more effort to see what was wrong then not caring anymore. I finally found a doctor that made me feel seen and heard but then I had to move across the country and I lost hope in 2019, You are not alone my dear and I hope that knowing that other people are dealing with the same thing gives you a fraction of hope that this video has given me.

I've had 2 IUDs since 2008, and it has helped my periods. I used to have horrible period symptoms. Diarrhea, excess bleeding, and horrible cramps. Every time my period came on, it felt like, TMI, someone was ripping my vagina out. It was terrible. But my Dr recommended an IUD. I was scared bc there is a device in my uterus, but it has helped so much that I probably get my third. Implants are probably safer since there isn't something inside your uterus , but I took the risk, and it's been amazing for me. BUT everyone is different. What worked for me might not work for someone else.

So glad you advocated for yourself! Providers need to hear more from our patients' points of view. IUDs are awesome once they are placed. As an aside, every medication out there has potential terrible side effects. Tylenol can damage your liver. Motrin, your kidneys. Pros of using/not have to be weighed against risk of using/not using. Like birth control and blood clots. You are over 10 times more likely to get a blood clot if you get pregnant. If you use the pills you are more like 3-4 times more likely to get one

Listening to your body is essential. Noticing and not ignoring changes, even the smallest is so important. Also insist that your voice and concerns be taken SERIOUSLY and not dismissed. Get a second opinion, go to another doctor. In 2017, I was securely in menopause for a number of years when I noticed blood in my urine. A urinary tract infection was ruled out. I had a series of tests by my GYN including a biopsy. And yes Adanna, it was horribly painful. I was diagnosed with an early stage Endometrial Cancer. A few weeks later I had a total hysterectomy. The cancer was completely removed and I didn't need chemotherapy or radiation. Have been cancer free since. Ladies do what you have to do. ❤

Hi Adanna, thank you for this share. I am a fellow sufferer for over 3 years too, but no one seems to be able to give me any answers. I am trusting God for my healing. Like you it could be fibroids and no guarantee if I have it removed that it will stop. Would love to connect with you and talk to you. I refused all their suggestions after research, the coil wasn't a choice I liked. I too have seen 5 naturopaths but to no avail. I am living one day at a time till my miracle comes.🙏🙏 God has promised healing.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I've had the same problem since my teenage years. I was put on birth control, tried to stop taking it only to find that my body never regulated, and forced to accept the reality that I may always need birth control to live a somewhat normal life. But I think there have been some undesirable long term consequences of taking BC. Now it would seem even BC is not as effective with regulating my cycle. Over the years I also went from doctor to doctor just for them to tell me the problem was normal or not a big deal. One obgyn did an ultrasound and found polyps and fibroids and said removing them "may" help the issue. So I opted for the surgery only to have the doctor poke a hole through my uterus after not being able to find the polyp during the procedure. After that, I pretty much lost hope, being tired of doctors telling me I'm healthy and nothing is wrong even though I'm in pain and anemic and always tired. I was truly shocked to watch this video and hear your story! I'm so happy that you were able to finally figure out the problem and find a comparable solution. I feel inspired to make another appointment. Thank you Adanna! ❤

Hi Adanna, I had a bleeding problem to. I was bleeding for months. I was so pale, and weak. I went to the gynecologist, and he said he didn’t think it was my period, but the blood was coming from somewhere else. He admitted me to the hospital and he put a camera inside my uterus and took pictures to give me showing what was happening. I had blood vessels that was breaking and the blood was coming from that. He gave me some meds that heal the blood vessels, and it stopped. It pays to listen to your body, and follow through 💯🙌❤️

I completely understand the emotions you went through because I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and it’s so difficult to live with. I started out not having my period for 5 months and being prescribed birth control as well so our stories are very similar. Thank you for sharing your story ❤ and I’m glad you’re in a better place now.

    Adanna
I am sorry you have been through this battle but I am glad you persevered until you got a clear diagnosis. I admire your refusal to accept the 1st thing thrown at you. We have to be our own health advocates too, we cant rely solely on practitioners.
I agree that your health condition did not develop because your body is suffering from a lack of birth control. Something else is wrong. May I suggest you continue seeking answers through a 'Functional Medicine' and/or Holistic practitioner. Many of them specialize in hormone analysis & balancing. They are trained to get to the 'root cause' of health problems. Sometimes they are not covered by insurance (certainly not in the US) but it's worth the trip. I had a long struggle with PMS cramping as well as uterine fibroids. My holistic hormone specialist determined that I was estrogen dominant, b12 & D3 deficient, etc. The panel of hormones she tested was unlike those docs who are not trained to look for these things. (Even the endocrinologist I visited could not answer the questions I had about my hormones. I have found that many MD's get somewhat defensive when you ask questions they cant answer, rather than research the matter). I believe the microbiome also has an effect on our hormones.
So I am glad you got some clarity but I encourage you to keep looking for non-synthetic health-management options. Someone has the answers you're looking for. 😉

Thank you for sharing this. I experienced a somewhat situation. It's important as black women that we are vocal about our issues and continue seek help until we find the right doctor that will listen.
I had the iud and that s*** hurt like crazy, upon getting it put in I almost passed out😂 I had it for about a month and got it removed. I also was put on multiple birth control pills and eventually stopped. I had surgery and had a cyst removed off my right ovary. These days I feel better than I did 2 or 3 years ago. I'm not on b/c or anything.

My sister I’m facing the same problem
Mine started 2019, the herbal medicine I have taken is uncountable
I’m just tired of this…….I feel so down sometimes.
Last week i was not able to stand it, I threw all the herb medicine away
Went to the hospital last Friday, I was ask to do some scan and lab test
The impression was that, I have a thickened endometrial, I was referred to see a Gynecologist (specialist) to examine me
Low and be hold I was examining, he also suggested a contraceptive for me and to do other scan HPv scan to confirm something as well.
I know through God all things are possible and we are going to be healed 🙏🏾
