Oh man I feel for your brother. My 4Runner is like my baby! It is bad enough to roll it, but it sure would hurt having to cut the roof off afterwards. I hope he can fix it or do a body swap 🔧
Install a real roll cage and harnesses if you run trails like this. I've run this trail many times. It's awesome and if you stick to the main trail and go slow, you are usually just fine. No idea where this dude thought he was going. It's a great trail but very unforgiving to novices or over confident people. Numerous people have died on this trail. It is exciting, but like the ocean, you have to respect it and be safety minded.
I run Hell's Revenge when I am in MOAB. Follow the path with the yellow markers. Go slow. I rarely go over 5mph. I crawl over any hills since you don't know what dips or traffic or off-camber surprises are waiting for you. get harnesses (even back) and when you rebuild install a much, much stronger roll bar system. These people were lucky the did not get flattened like a pancake. It rolled gently. If they went end over, they would be toast. Looking at that front roof- they are lucky not to have gotten a neck/spinal compression problem, like being paralyzed. This is your wake up call. Most important thing is harnesses and roll cage. Glad you were all OK though. We rent UTV's to run this trail. We also head out to Chicken Corners and Shafer Trail and Long Canyon. Have you tried those trails yet?
I enjoyed your video! Moab is one of my favorite places to explore with my Jeep. I have made numerous videos on my adventures in the Moab area.
