Off Roading in Moab Utah - The totaled Tacoma gets put to the test!

- We took our Toyota Tacoma to my favorite place in the world! Moab Utah! In Moab we did some of the best off-roading trails and rock crawling features you can find. We wheeled all around Moab and even did some canyoneering in Arches national Park.

We did Poison Spider Trail, the Moab Rim Trail and Mashed Potatoes. The mostly stock Tacoma killed it! We had so much fun! The only modifications on the crunchy taco are a welded differential, 17” Mamba type 23’s and 37” Nitto Trial Grapplers.

Tim crossley no lift means axles and driveshaft angles are all factory geometry. Throttle control and a strong weld im not surprised. Add a lift and watch shit break left and right
Stock gearing is 4.10:1

Very awesome series on the "Crunchy Taco". Ethan...you are a fabricating genius, a true jack of all trades. Watching the transformation on the yota was something else. Had no idea what I was in for when I first watched "can we hot wire this totalled Tacoma". Still can't get over a mostly mechanically stock Tacoma kicking ass through Moab. Job well done.
Thank you! Honestly, we had no idea where the taco was going back when we hotwired it. It’s has been one of the most rewarding builds we’ve done, and I was also blown away by how well it did in Moab. Can’t wait to build it more and take it back next year!

Grind Hard Plumbing Co It would really be a fun place for someone like yourself who likes to rappel, climb, hike and all that other adventurous stuff. There is plenty of that kind of stuff to do. The wife and I....... retired and to old for most of that. We didnt find Moab and Colorado until we retired. Now we hop in the Jeep every Sept for 2 weeks and head west. Visiting other -laces but always making sure to do some trails in Ut and Co.

I am a Toyota Tacoma owner myself! I drive an 08. I like how you didnt do any suspension mods at all. The truck is close to stock. Just shows you do not need a lot of money to make an awesome ride.

I have a 96 tacoma with the 3.4l that has been rolled twice and in a frontend collision, guy that gave it to me just straightened the crunched hood and fender and put a 2x4 as a bumper. 278,000 miles all original and I daily drive it 100+ miles!
