How does this not have more views. This is like my third time watching it because I’m planning on making one in two weeks but I’m having trouble finding 3/8 abs sheets
Great ideas with the mount points. I made the mistake of mounting my splitter to my front lip so I had to take off the splitter everytime I remove the front bumper. I will come up with some kind of quick releases for the brackets do the splitter is somewhat easy to remove. Good job
I was thinking something like this. Have to do some measurements to see which thickness I want to buy. But this is general concept www.amazon.com/Release-Bimini-Stainless-Marine-Accessories/dp/B07G6DCCSQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=quick+release+pin&qid=1583416232&sr=8-6
dude! its like im looking at my own car, just finished rebuilding the engine and plan to make a splitter and diffuser, we need more vids from u, Subaru bro ;) subscribed!
Thanks buddy! Oh nice man, that's exciting! I do want to get back into making more videos. Life just gets in the way sometimes Haha. Hopefully this spring and summer can put out more!
haha thats a great question.. I actually haven't had it on the car recently, so not currently an issue. But was considering cutting a hole to make for easier access..not quite sure yet
Hey that looks like the Menards HDPE Plastic. Have you been pretty happy with it overall? How has it held up now? How does it do at highway speed? did you end up having to add front supports?
Thanks man! I just purchased it from a local industrial plastic store. Just googled abs plastic and found someone who sold sheets of it. And the metal brackets was from a local metal shop!
Hey what's up. Quick question. How did you attach the fender liners? Usually they attach to the bumper but did you just drill them to the splitter instead of the bumper?
Damn! I found this video after I just did mine. Did the exact same thing. Definitely the best way to do it. The worst thing is realizing you have to take everything off to do a damn oil change.
If I recall correctly. We had the splitter mocked in place. So we could figure out how long the supports needed to be. That way the splitter sat just below bumper

if you look up abs plastic on google you can go to maps and it will show you suppliers in your area
Nice work mate watching from Australia 🇦🇺
Hey appreciate that man!

Thanks man! I'd love to come up with a quick release option as well!

Sick dude im gonna make a custom spoiler to my V70 now since i cant find any great looking ones on internet for my car! Keep making videos
Thanks man! Going to keep working at it 👊🏼
Dope bro
Did you use existing holes in the frame for the brackets? I haven’t taken my bumper off to look because I’m trying to do it all at once
Hey man, you bet! I didn't do any drilling in the actual frame of the car. Was able to find existing holes to mount it
How much does the sheet weight? As far as strength how would it compare to birch flooring sheets? thanks Dude 😎
ok how do you do oil changes now
haha thats a great question.. I actually haven't had it on the car recently, so not currently an issue. But was considering cutting a hole to make for easier access..not quite sure yet

It's held up well! I don't currently have it on the car, but it had no issues at highway speed. Also never added the supports
where did you buy the material for the splitter?
looks very clean!
This industrial plastic store. Thanks!
Awesome video 👍 Where did you buy the sheet of plastic and the brackets?

Hey man pretty sure I saw an Alberta plate on that truck. Which place did you order this sheet from?
Hey, you bet man. It was Johnston industrial plastics
@@brodiecd7093 ohhhh heck yeah it's in Edmonton too. Thanks bud!
Been waiting on a upload. ✊🙌 Gang Gang.
Hey what's up. Quick question. How did you attach the fender liners? Usually they attach to the bumper but did you just drill them to the splitter instead of the bumper?
I actually just zip tied them to a part of the splitter! Kept them out of the way
@@brodiecd7093 oh alright thanks for replying. Glad to see I can still use my fender liners when I make a splitter
How thick is the splitter
3/8 thick
Damn! I found this video after I just did mine. Did the exact same thing. Definitely the best way to do it. The worst thing is realizing you have to take everything off to do a damn oil change.
Haha I know man! I thought about cutting out a hole in those areas but never did it
@@brodiecd7093 I thought about it too but I don't know if that compromises the functionality of the splitter
@@Zenistful yah I agree. Would be nice to think of some kind of quick release system. Where you could pop it off in a matter of a minute
@@brodiecd7093 aaah! We could make a Hatch! With latches
Where did you get the plastic?
Got it from a local industrial plastic store. Just goggled abs plastic online
how did you figure out what height to mount it at
If I recall correctly. We had the splitter mocked in place. So we could figure out how long the supports needed to be. That way the splitter sat just below bumper
nice work brother
Thanks man!
how much did this amount of abs cost? I have found a supplier in my area and want to figure out what other people paid for their abs.
honestly cant recall for sure. I forget if it was a couple hundred.. maybe a bit less.
This is sick!
Thanks man!
Where is the more videos at
Just got busy.. planning to make some more soon tho
are you able to stand on the splitter?
Its super sturdy as is.. But I'd probably need splitter rods in the front to prevent it from flexing
@@brodiecd7093 wait you still didn't get those rods yet lol. It's been almost half a year since the upload!
@@ittotaq Haha nope.. havent needed to. I still have a couple more things I want to add to it ;)
Where you buy this plastic?!
Bought it from an industrial plastic store in town
