Steve Smith turned the table on Jofra Archer by his brilliant batting. Even former's unfortunate concussion had a silver lining as his replacement has turned out to be mature batman with 4 half centuries in a row.

Labuschagne is growing in stature by each n every innings that he's playing...
Broad is really leading from the front in absence of Anderson. Well this is nothing new, Broad always steps up when Anderson isn't there. No one will ever forget that Broad was the bowler who conceded 6 sixes in 6 consecutive balls but no one will also forget that what an improved and brilliant red ball bowler he has been once he retires.

It was a good innings from steve smith which saved the australian team again, it was good to see marnus labuschagne score another valuable 67 & tim paine finally score a half a century along with mitchell starc scoring 54 but without that double century by steve smith I think australia was looking to score 250 to 300 for their first innings total which really isn't competitive enough. I think ben stokes innings of 136 was more riveting tv to watch than steve smith scoring a double ton even though ben stokes to man of the match as will steve smith for his double century at old trafford in this yet to be decided test match

No wonder that Steve Smith has come a long way, from being a Mere Leg Spinner who could bat a bit, to being the Best Test Batsman in the World, but a few key factors that are missing here : 1) Steve has to conquer all the territories around the World.
    2) Zero Reverse Swing from the Bowlers.
    3) On the Basis of ASHES (Which happens only between Eng & Aus) - you can't call - the MAN - the GREATEST EVER.
I would also rank Steve Smith above Virat Kohli in the Test Matches, but going via an overall record (even the Win Records) First Kohli Is a Better one for all the 3 Formats.
Also, I guess, Michael Vaughan has forgotten the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara and Ponting and such massive players, while calling Steve Smith, the Greatest.
