Thanks for this cool video, Danny, it's very well done. Your bicycle is great. In my town there are a few of them and they have the same engine you put in yours, they come from China and are quite good. You can enjoy it for a long time. Only take care when you ride in the woods, not too fast, then it's dangerous to run off control and hit against a tree. Maybe it would be a good idea to wear a helm and some protection for your knees and elbows. I am a subscriber of your channel, so let's wait for some more adventures with motorized stuff. Greetings from Santa Catarina State, Southern Brazil.
Sayin it's not efficient is completely wrong, I regularly get 100 miles per gallon. Sometimes more when I'm not killing it. The average car gets 20 per. Even a hybrid only gets 50-60 per, so these bike are very fuel efficient.
I get amazing Smiles per Mile ☺ and unbelievable miles per gallon. I have a torque sensor built into the engine for actual peddle assist. If fixing a flat tire is working on your bike then that's what my build is like. Rode it across America this year Florida to California and back same rear tire . Never even oiled the chain . All parts and pieces are in a store near you including small towns. No moving parts to break down and enough power to go over the Rockies with my 225 pound but on it and gear . I averaged 140 miles to the gallon no peddling over 4500 miles . Did i mention it works on any bike with a seat post no chain required 🤔 i know you want believe it but quite to .
@@Jarrod_D dude, I said compared to an an electric bike. Just saying there’s a lot less to go wrong on an electric bike. I know some gas bikes get unbelievable fuel economy, but gas ain’t cheap. Charging is free.
I just finished my first one. I collect pre war bikes, and had an old Indian frame and fork laying around. Fabbed up some engine mounts, gas tank and some other stuff and now I have an Indian board tracker. I used a 4 stroke. The two things people should trash before they even open the box is the chain tensioner and rag joint. The rag joint can be replaced with a rear hub adapter. For a chain tensioner, I welded a Chevy alternator bracket between the seat stay and chain stay. They’re a blast to ride! I went through a few rear sprocket sizes before I found the right size, which is a 36t. I ride mine to work every day. Great fun, very fuel efficient….just cool.
I have built e-bike kits as well as gas bike kits, even combined the two. I would not call the e-bike "cheaper" on any single day, simply because of the excessive cost! I could build 3 gas bikes for the price of one electric bike. Having said all this, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND that you put that electric front hub on the gas bike. Check out my "Mk5 Hybrid" playlist on my channel to see what I mean 😁
Oh totally! In my opinion, electric bikes are cheaper in the long run since charging is virtually free and maintenance is minimal. But gas bikes are cheaper initially but you have to pay for gas and oil, not to mention things break eventually. My dad and I have talked about making a hybrid bike and it sounds very intuitive!
@@dannykime4415 it takes a bit of getting used to, using two throttles, but it is a load of fun and makes starting the bike so much easier and smoother, not to mention the acceleration!
@@cory4152 at high speeds the tank will destroy itself(vibrate to pieces) because many of these engines have a poorly balance crankshaft. So.. Reducing tank vibration is a way to go a little bit faster
I've built many, my only advice is if you plan to keep the fenders then reinforce them. They aren't made to handle the vibrations of the motor and the bumps at speed. They will fail, and they have killed people. I was one of the lucky ones to have survived the fender bite. Nice build man I built my first motorized bike when I was your age lol it was a yd80, fast forward to now I’m 19 and I have a 90cc bored out one with a f2 thruster pipe and I have achieved speeds of over 50mph on it, It hits its 2 stroke power band at around 30mph and then continues to climb faster, 30mph is good for a start but as you get older you’ll want to invest it the little things for your bike to add performance like better exhaust and better carb

Thank you for subbing!! I think next time around I’m putting a 4 stroke on mine, I love the fuel Economy and ease of use. Don’t 4 strokes use a different type of exhaust?
I have one of these and I changed the clutch lever to a bike gear lever. That way it stays on if you want it to. And you don't need to use the rubbish one you get with the kit.
Hey I noticed when your riding you don't pull in your clutch when you let off the throttle. That will prematurely where down your cylinder. So when you let off your throttle remember to pull in that clutch in till you get back on it again.
With today's gas prices it's my new daily driver it should pay for it's self lol I figure if it works out every year new motor kit to keep it reliable and hopefully problem free
Fuel efficiency depends on a few factors but overall they aren't too bad for what they are. A typical motorized bike should see around 80-100mpg. Carbureted 2 strokes are probably the least efficient type of internal combustion engine out there so it's all a "grain of salt" deal. Properly ported and tuned though and they also make a lot more power for a given displacement than a 4 stroke. Want good MPG get a 4 stroke bike kit.
I'd rather less people build them, coz the more people who build them & ride stupid on roads, the more they'll get banned. A guy in my area got killed a couple years ago riding at midnight, no lights, the wrong way down a one-way street & probably also drunk.
Did you take account for gravel? Uphill slopes? Stopping? I used to hop on my board a bit, and you just can’t cover the same amount of distance as you would on a bicycle. Motorized boards tho…
Electric bikes are more expensive.gas parts are cheap compared to $300 pluss batteries but,yea in long run Electric is cheaper since you have to plug it in instead of buying gas.you just adding to your electric bill but they both do have about same amount of cons..
Gas powered bike seems to be the best way for me to do 50km commute. Not many electrics can handle that daily grind for long.

How to start the bike, is the clutch on when start it or off? Thanks.
The clutch in pulled in when you start pedaling, keep pedaling and let out the clutch to manually start the engine
