Beautiful! @VerleanHurd, I am inspired. When you pray please remember me and all of the other unmarried people desiring to marry and have thos same testimony 🙏🏽 ❤️
Definitely! I remember my parents would spend Sunday afternoons together almost every week. We’d all go to mass as a family in the morning then they’d stop where me and my brother wanted food from so we could eat. After that, I would keep my brother and they would go do whatever it was they did lol. Most times they went to nurseries or flea markets in a neighboring city but I saw the benefits of them having that time together. Their 44th anniversary is tomorrow!
My husband and I are 40 years in and this is definitely true. Through sickness and health, good times and not so good times. Through the loss of our son. Even when we couldn't find words we would just hold hands even while we were sleeping.
Intimacy can be without sex, sitting in silence looking at one another, falling in love with each other every day. Speaking without saying a word❤❤❤, but making love is beautiful as well
What picture came to mind, was, when she spoke of objects like our phone, then our children. The word "connect" brought to mind...."plugging into each other like plugging into a power source". I feel that is what couples can do, at the end of a draining g day. Like the commercials that show people's power percentage going down like a phone.
Marriage is not tough if both of you are sincerely ready to swallow your egos and pride, if you're ready to stop whatever you used to like doing if it bothers your spouse. You should both somehow compromise your interest and hobbies to meet somewhere in the middle for the sake of the healthy and sound marriage. All in all LOVE is above them all and it should be the major driving force for whatever I mentioned above to work. I've clocked twenty one years in my marriage.
Your body might fail (like sickness) BUT IF, you don't have that you should have a powerful commitment and a strong spiritual bond that NO man , can put that POWER asunder save Elohim himself!
Exciting video, A year ago i took the no contact route, well i wouldn't say it didn't go well, but i missed her and sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and go for what you want, Without knowing and having a huge ego, we might actually miss out on our soul mate all in the name of not settling for less, I know who i am, and at the same time i know what i want for me, so i did all i could to get her back, and I must say, it was the best decision i have ever made, we have been together again for over 7 months, yes marriage isnt always rosy, but i am lucky to have her, just as she is to have me, we compliment each other.
its difficult to let go of someone you love, i am in a similar situation, and i do not know what else do to have him back, i have been dying inside, people actually think i am happy, i am not.
I feel your pain dear one, after trying out the no contact experiment that failed miserably, i had to find other means, i had to reach out to a spiritual adviser, it was brilliant idea which i never thought it was, but it worked wonders for me.
You were 16 years old I hope in it seems that he was your first and only. And if you were a virgin with him, then you may understand why the Bible highly values the price of a Virgin

The institution of marriage is STILL beautiful. To love, be committed to, protect and support your spouse for a lifetime is beautiful. To experience and enjoy life, safely and honorably together is truly amazing ❤❤❤❤
Girl how were ya'll early days? Im approaching yr 3 this week and its tooough 😂 im like whoa! Both of our parents have been married 44 & 35yrs so we come from love. But we dont know how to always let small stuff roll off our backs, emotionally, etc & we have an almost 2yo and now preg. I pray the 3rd yr takes us on a better road❤️
The connection is the glue. 44 years here. You are so vulnerable to each other and it's such a beautiful thing that is played out between just you and your spouse. I love it!
So true, I've been married 55yrs as of the 25th Oct. You must make time for your helpmate. Communication, trust, is the most important thing in a long martial relationship. ❤❤
The Bible says that married couples can agree to not to be intimate for a short time. But should be fasting and praying in that time. And then come together and be intimate. So that the devil doesn't have a foothold in your marriage
When you don't connect, you become detached, and you no longer feel like you are still attached to your person! You start to feel alienated from them, and you start to feel like you no longer belong to them. When this happens over 32 years, you kinda just feel like their friend after a while! And you start to feel okay with not truly being their's! It's sad, but it happens!
I disagree though I been wit mine 12yrs and we don't need to connect feel as long as I'm laying in dat bed wit em I know we'll always be together it's da love and respect we have for another of course you gonna go through different things dats life! For as long as we still connected mentally nothing else matters!
True.. but marriage takes being intentional from both. When we stop being intentional it opens the door for the marriage to fizzle out.. *We are not married to be roommates or housemates. Living together for business/family needs but little to no connection. And connection just isn't intimate or physical- it's emotional, mental, relational, supporting that person, spiritual, pouring into each other to keep the balance, etc. If those areas are lacking physical connection becomes a challenge. *Sometimes things aren't dead, they just need to be revived or rehydrated. *If you not sure how to do this, then I'd strongly recommend seeking professional marriage/family counseling(online options are available). They will give unbiased help, insights and suggestions but you and your spouse have to be willing to put in the effort to strengthen, heal and restore.
NEVER FORGET this advice. You were smart enough to ask a couple who were married a looooooong time. Many don’t think about the resource a couple that’s been married a long time can be.
My parents were together 54 years and married 52 when my dad died. It’s been 8 years, they were together til death do us part. I wasn’t able to get it right the first time. Don’t take each other for granted. We all want to feel and know we’re appreciated and loved.
