Maaan.... that solo on the opening tune was just awesome. I'll probably come back just to listen to that from time to time! Thanks for your always excellent work, Mr. Pete Thorn!
Pete does make everything sound great but this pedal is really demonstrated well here. It's very bright (especially for a Bogner product) but in a musical way, not harsh at all. One of the best overdrives I've played. Awesome demo, Pete!
Thanks for posting. I shelled out the relatively big bucks after seeing this to pair with a Jeff Beck Strat model and a Peavy Delta Blues amp and could not be more happy with it. Just beautiful. If there is one beef, is that for some it's going to stop just short of really overdriving the amp but, for me that is pretty much a non-issue. The sound I get is very close to what you have here. Just perfect rock crunch and honestly I can get a fantastic back and forth straight out of my clean channel. But, it also warms up the lead channel nicely. Again many thanks for a great and useful channel.
DAMN.. killer playing Pete!!! Very melodic with excellent feel and choice of notes.. you could make any overdrive pedal sound good. Its real hard to judge the pedal because you match things up so well and the chops send it over the top.
As expected a "Solid" demo from Pete with his always tasty licks and chord progression's! Pete have you possibly ran the Bogner Wessex and Harlow Boost pedal together by chance! :-)Mac Baker
outside the mix during the solo sampling of the pedal I can really hear the transformer on this one, the break up is nasty, but to be expected, and sounds exactly like transformer break up. from the top of my head summing up an idea on the spot, this pedal would be even better if there was no bass knob, keep the treble knob to roll off the highs when necessary, and where the bass knob is put a knob to control how much the blend of the transformer is mixed into the signal, the same way the gain knob allows for a wet/dry blend of the gain signal into the channel of the pedal. Even more critical tone tweaking to find the exact sweet spot of break up and crunch.
It's funny,I just bought Jason Hooks solo album it just sounds like a jam session.Pete's solo album "Guitar Nerd" is one of the most soulful and best i have ever heard. It just goes to show just because you are in a huge band won't make you a great solo artist. Pete can do both! :)
Pete you continually impress me. Bogner's site left me yawning, this was the rescue effort. Please don't work for anyone but yourself on these showcase videos, you're great on your own!
Have you ever played them together??? If so, how do they sound? Also, one time I brought 20 something pedals and I couldn't get any of them to sound good. The guys at the Guitar Center put the board together. However, the pedals didn't sound good. I liquidated my pedals. Then I heard that only certain pedals sound good together. Besides buying pedals, what is the key thing to look for in pedals in order to properly put them in order as to where they will sound like they are supposed to. If you don't mind can you point me to one of your videos about that or help me out with this. I appreciate it Sir. I wasted so much money only to find that not all pedals work well together no matter what proper order they are in. Thank you.
+AlexisGitarre - why would it matter where it's made? So long as the components are to spec, you should judge a pedal on how it sounds... not where it's made. You don't like the sound? No one's forcing you to purchase it, but basing your decision off where it's made and nothing else is just being wilfully obtuse.
I've come to realize, that pros make everything sound great.
Pete, I find myself more interested in hearing the creative riffs and jams you make to showcase the pedals than the pedals themselves. Great job!
I could listen to you play that Tele all day long. The pedal is excellent.

That opening song was seriously awesome. It could be a hit!
This is the smoothest, sweetest sounding OD pedal I've ever owned!

+Jordan Dedo Thanks Jordan
Great to see you back doing all of these demos pete
Another stellar demo with exceptional songwriting and playing, for a stellar piece of gear! I can't wait to get myself one! You rule Pete.
Pete, thank you for your demos. You sold me on Wessex here.
Yet another helpful and entertaining video. I need this pedal for a light, frenetic bluesy bite. Thanks Pete!

You are the best classic rock guitar player man!!
What great idea to show off an effect unit in conjunction with some music, as well as by itself.
them neve transformers sound so sweet, absolutely awesome sounding pedal
Such a fantastic song you wrote for this pedal
Pete, you are the best! I love your music.
DAMN.. killer playing Pete!!! Very melodic with excellent feel and choice of notes.. you could make any overdrive pedal sound good. Its real hard to judge the pedal because you match things up so well and the chops send it over the top.
Pedal and playing is very tasteful and great
Sounds really nice... and that's some sweet playing.
Great playing, great sounding pedal
Superb playing, Pete! Great sound!
I can see a FX8 pedalboard there...new demo coming soon??
lovely solo amazing!
Dude killing it Pete!!!
What’s this pedal like for somebody who mostly plays 5th chords?
Amazing playing!
first thing i said when i hit play "sounds really fuckin good", these pedals are being discontinued apparently, kind of sad
You should put this on Jam Track track central as a course. Really nice playing and...sound!
As expected a "Solid" demo from Pete with his always tasty licks and chord progression's! Pete have you possibly ran the Bogner Wessex and Harlow Boost pedal together by chance! :-)Mac Baker
Sounds so good!
hey Pete! you bought a new LP? I can see you are having a great time with that tele... it is a awesome sounding guitar. Great video!
Love it, great pedal too!

these demos sure bring out your versatility in guitar skills. every gear piece you've done couldn't of had a better ambassador!
Sweet run @0:48 brotha:)
Harlow, Wessex or Burnley......which one is best for bass?
Oxford
Pete does the Wessex mate with amps with bright caps as good as the Burnley?
Does it clean up when guitar volume is lowered?
no.
@@soofitnsexy actually depends on your settings
nice tele! what is it?
+vadlasletta It's a 1966, and I've loaded it with Ron Ellis pickups- they are fantastic.
+Pete Thorn cool! Sort of a robben ford vibe.

ROCK ON
Pete could you recommend a good low to medium amp head, I want to get a new head other than my ht metal 5 watt head.Great playing as always!!
Yo Pete, what pups you got in that tele?
Pete great playing as usual. Do u think it is as organic sounding, as say a Maxon TS 808? Thanks
Hey Pete great video. Curious how did u record the guitar parts. They sound awesome.
Hi Pete -- great playing! What do you use to generate the backing tracks?
with Peter any pedal is good..
Pete can make a cigar box rigged with rubber bands and duct tape sound good.
Low to medium gain I meant
Not supper excited about this pedal (lived on my board for less than a week) nether less epic demo and playing as always Pete!
Too bad the footswitch is insanely hard to press
Lol you have copy and pasted this ridiculous comment on like 3 videos.
Too bad these pedals have an insanely hard to press footswitch
i swapped out the switch on mine and it made all the difference!
Sorry but for a made in China Pedal it's way to expensive. For this price I can get a lot of handwired boutique stuff here in Europe or America.

+AlexisGitarre From the back of the pedal.. "Built in Los Angeles, CA using worldwide premium parts"
