Oh my god @PeteThorn, now I know what you were talking about in the last Livestream. Just saw the SatchVai band announcement - Wow, didn't see that coming!
Holy COW that sounds AWESOME!! Many different voices within the Plexi domain....and easily as important as Plexi amps :) ....(drumroll) ENDLESS CONGRATS on the gig w/the AMAZING Steve Vai and Joe Satriani....you SOoOoO deserve it. Knock em DEAD and tell us ALL ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds excellent - congratulations also on your new mission! You have certainly put in the work and are deserving of such an opportunity. The universe provides. Just be careful not to fly to close to the Solar Federation.
Gratz Pete on your new gig with Vai and Satriani! I hope you come to the DFW area with the show. I also hope you come to Guitar Sanctuary here in the Dallas area (McKinney). Contact Brian at the store. Andy Timmons lives here close by. Maybe you guys can meet up. My Pete Thorne special guitar with FU should be ready next month. I like you to sign it. LOVE THE NEW AMP!
Sounds awesome! Looking forward to comparisons to the Marshall SV20 (different price range, I know, but this one seems better in sound and practicality)
I appreciate the room mic giving no advertation to it's actual sound. As a practice amp thumbs up! with zero effects which obviously can be added to home enthusiastic releasers at the end of the day. 15 watts is enough to piss off a lot a people these days lol...pending
I’ve been considering the SL68 but I honestly don’t need that much power. This is perfect! Sounds great but, if Pete is playing, it’s gonna sound awesome.
Immediately thought wow WAY more preamp gain than any Plexi.. thus I am more interested This sounds like a mix of AC15/circa 1970 Marshall with hot rodded pre map
Exactly, it's not easy to deliver a great amp with a small wattage/transformers. But this amp really sings, I put this in the same league as the Marshall SV20 and Friedman Pink Taco v2.
When you get around to doing a more detailed video of this SL15, please compare it to the SL67 (which I own and use). The SL67 is still quite loud, and I'd be interested to know if this SL15 is more manageable for gigging.
Pete, that amp sound exactly like what I need. Question....was it plugged straight in and did you run it through a specific cab? Thanks for the great vid!
When you return from tour and have time, please make a video comparing to channel 2/3 on the PT15. AND is there any chance that suhr would incorporate the loadbox from the PT15 into the SL15 as a special order?
Why do all these companies try so hard to look like Marshall? Suhr, Friedman etc? Surely they can stand on their own two feet and have their own identity as opposed to trying to hijack Marshall? Great video, looking forward to seeing yourself and CRS in Dublin soon. Feb 27 in Dublin, cant wait. Tell Jess bring the leather skirt .... 🙂
So you know what it is/sounds like. Seriously. I'm sure they would rather do their own thing but then people just don't have an idea exactly what it is and it tends to hamper popularity. I'm speaking from experience. We are creatures of habit. You'll notice the PT 15 doesn't look like anything else really or the PT 100. Because it's its own thing. This is basically a modern improved single channel plexi.
@@PeteThorn Dave Grohl once said to Will I Am that he was the hardest working man in music. I think you take the crown. You are back home for Namm if I'm not mistaken but only for a couple of days before more CRS. Loadsa air miles. I need to buy a ticket for CRS but thought I'd leave it to the end of the UK leg. Need one for GThorn now don't I.
Ahh Pete - for a 15w amp head this Suhr is BIG not compact. It's also not footswitchable as a 2 channel amp - so it's effectively single channel. Cos most of the tone variation is in switches you can't change anything on the fly. And this amp has no loop either. From your Demo it sounded very samey on all settings too
Pete Congrats on the Satch Vai GIG!!!
I was going to say the same thing. What a pleasant surprise to see Pete supporting the Satch/Vai Tour! Rock!
Congratulations on the SatchVai Band gig, just incredible and well deserved!!!
Satch, Vai and Thorn! Together in perfect harmony. Can’t wait for the tour and congrats!
Definitely cool. I’ve been wanting to see Pete with Ian Thornley Shawn Tubbs and Andy Woods do a tour and maybe throw in Eric Johnson.
@@roscoepcoltrane23
That would be a dream come true❤
I think you all mean to say "Congrats to Satch and Vai for being part of the Pete Thorn Tour. 😄
SatchVai? Holy crap. Massive respect Pete. What an honor. A well deserved one. You are a certified baddass. But DAMN!!!!
Sounds so good!! Congratulations Pete on the Satch/Vai tour!!! 👊
Congrats with your new gig! They are lucky to have you! Thanks for all you do!
Love how you pulled out that ZZ Top lick!!! You sound great and so the amp!!!
Congrats on the SatchVai gig, Pete! So well deserved. We will all live through you on this one. :)
Sold on this without even watching 🤣
Me too, but I'll bet it won't be cheap.
Congrats on the SatchVai gig! Awesome. Has to be some kind of dream come true.
Suhr is killing it!
Another winner from Suhr and from you, sir!
"Have fun storming the castle" with Steve and Joe!!! Nice review too!
Sounds sweet! Love hearing you and the rest of the guys & gals in the CRS. Y'all are killer Brother!
Congrats on the new gig Pete!
What a great little amp! Good luck on the tour and congratz, eh!
That sounds great Pete!! Congratulations on the tour... you rock🤙🏼🤘🏻🎸
Congrats tour wise-no one else deserved it more than you.
I heard it on the X! 🔥Thanks for demoing the cleanish sounds. This thing sounds awesome at very quiet levels. Home run!
Congratulations Pete on the new gig. Well deserved!

#Pete … some killer sounds out of this amp … can’t wait for that full video post tour of the #Suhr SL15… well done!
Congratulations Pete! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy :)
Congrats on the new gig announcement Pete. Cant think of a more deserving candidate! ❤

I'll come up from Austin for this!!!
Killer! Cant wait to get my hands on this one! 🤘
OMG kill it on tour!! Great demo

man, playing with Satch, Vai, Kenny and Marco......your gonna have a fun summer......congrats
Midsentric Monster. Sounds Great
Congratulations on the gig. Do a video on your tour rig, if you haven't already.
Cool little amp!✌️
This thing sounds fantastic
Awesome sounds!!!

Sounds Killer 💪🤘🤘
Great, but the price?
Ahhhh please give us the settings you used for that Mean Streets section! You know that's why we're all here :)
Congratulations
Yeah great but how much?😅
Damn....sounds pretty cool to me. Amp has bite
Congrats Pete
Great Demo, sounds killer! Would love to hear some edge of break up Strat Tones ❤
Your hair is growing❤you go on Tour with SatchVai 😅👍
4:38 what a clasic tone….almost for everything??
I think this is the amp I’ve been waiting for.. hopefully £1500
Immediately thought wow WAY more preamp gain than any Plexi.. thus I am more interested
This sounds like a mix of AC15/circa 1970 Marshall with hot rodded pre map
Sounds very good but...would rather go for the Pink Taco
Amp companies killing it these days - - lower watt, MV Plexi style is the way.
Just bought an SL68. Doh!
Loved it
I'll take 3!
Wonder how different from PT-15 tone
I'm sold! I hope it's available soon in Europe.
Would love to hear this compared to the PT15!
This is the amp that I always wished the Badger was
Exactly, it's not easy to deliver a great amp with a small wattage/transformers. But this amp really sings, I put this in the same league as the Marshall SV20 and Friedman Pink Taco v2.
@ I would place it above those amps on build quality
@@myuncle2I put this above the sv20 in sound and build quality 100%
Im coming to see you in london with my heroes satriani and vai.cant wait .👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹🎸🎸🙏🙏🙏🌹👍👍❤❤❤🎸🎸🙏🌹🌹👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dig those in between dirty clean sounds the most, would love to run this dry with my Badger handling the wet. Would sound massive.
It has it all. Super fat and harmonically very rich but with definition and nice note separation.
Would you be willing to share which speaker did you use in the Cabinet in this demo?

Sick
How does it compare to Marshall SV20H?
Pete, that amp sound exactly like what I need. Question....was it plugged straight in and did you run it through a specific cab? Thanks for the great vid!
Yay!
When you return from tour and have time, please make a video comparing to channel 2/3 on the PT15. AND is there any chance that suhr would incorporate the loadbox from the PT15 into the SL15 as a special order?
P.S. Mine is the SL 67 MkII
I'd like to know how this compares to the Marshall SV20h? Probably a lot more expensive, but I'd bet better quality.
I never found a 6V6 amp that I liked until I got the PT15lR. This one sounds tits too!
FX LOOP ???
Holy hot damn!
Actually the SL67?68 chassis fits perfectly in the smaller ones of the Badger series, its a more compact option.
The 68 definitely will not fit
All you need for Rock

My bank account is trembling with fear….😱
whats the price? dont let us hang
why would'nt I just buy a plexi- reissue??? well, I already have 2 🙂
On the X:)
so tasty
Oh yes, you will be mine
I see a new Pete Thorn video I almost broke a hand smashing the thumbnail lol!
cute. another plexi. imagine suhr or friedmann did a proper dual recto...
Because of the 6 in SL68 he said 16 I guess.
It's because I was frazzled and tired ha ha!

What's the point of watching Pete demoing stuff? I will never sound like this whatever I buy. I need demoes from normal people, not a brilliant genius
its very useless listen your revievs. EVRYTING SOUND FREAKIN AMAZING. EVRY THING DAMN

It's not big dude it's the size of a badger. It's really light. And if you want Tone variation then get a PT 15!
It would be good at $399.
