I recently got the bogner wessex with the rupert neve transformer, and quickly found that the stomp switch is super hard to press down, which prompted me to do a search and found that it is a common issue with this pedal.. the common fix was to replace it with Fulltone 3pdt switch or simliar 3pdt stomp switch.. Also the Bogner Wessex v2 doesnt use the rupert neve transformers apparently V2 transformer is an inferior transformer and the new line of V2 pedals are mass produced in china..
@@Bognerman14 I think so, yes... But I don't know, if there are better pedals today? I'm using the old version of the wessex and I own it quite a long time :)
Never noticed the clean mix with the wessex before but definately noticeable. The Ceriatone seems more pedal friendly than a lot of cathode biased EL84 amps....sounded good with both. Get a Burnley for sure.
I don't know how to express the sound but Wessex sounds Pretty . the Blue sounds tough (in a good way). If I have to choose one then Probably I would go with Wessex only because it has less knobs. last night I took my old Tonebone Hot british from the shelf which haven't been used for years. tried to get the sweetspot for 1hour but I gave up . too many knobs and swithes gave me headache. Hope you can understand my por English. Thanks Gabor , Alex! Awesome demo!
Your english is great choi dh!! I hear what you are saying...I used to have the Tri Mode Distotion by Tonebone...I remember really liking t but it was almost a bit overkill with all the switches...and I think it needed an 18V power supply and that always annoyed me
@@TSFAHTPS yes! you are VERY right Gabor. that Hotbritish needs 15V! yes 15V! 400mA. Headache even before I switched it on... Thanks Gabor. Have a good one. :-)
Linky link . I too am having trouble finding a large corporate Sponsor or wealthy patron willing to fund my extravagant delusions of grandeur!?! If’n ya hear of any send em my way fellas 👍🏽 and I’ll do the same😂
The blue guitar into the blue pedal was definitely my favorite! Hands down. 💙💙💙

The pre eq is on for the Ecstasy the whole time, either in B1 or B2 settings, so not as equal a comparison. Would have liked to hear the eq in N.
How about one of these for a lead boost into high gain amp?
I guess that would work
I'm using the weesex for that and it's great :)
@@BetonBenni Great! Do you find it really adds thicker mids for leads? I may have to grab one. Thanks

Which do I like better? Yes.
I prefer the Wessex knobs and the blue color of the Ecstasy.
Houston out,

Wessex in my opinion sounds better...

Both great, but I'll take the Ecstasy (no pun intended). It seemed to have quite a bit more clarity.
Bogner blowout! I’ll stick with the blue beauty

@@PooNinja Haha...will do!!
Great demo, just what I was looking for. You should try the Bogner La Grange, it’s much better than the blue IMO.
I really want to try one...and the Überschall too...those big Bogner pedals are amazing!!
Rupert Neve all the way!
gostei mais do wessex, som mais cheio e quente, o Ecstasy Blue parece escavado
