There's a huge difference between living on a large, newer cruising catamaran and a smaller, older monohull that doesn't have all the modern conveniences like a watermaker, A.C., and so much more. I'm aware of this because I own a catamaran with all these conveniences. I doubt I'd enjoy cruising as much as I do if I didn't have them. It's the difference between camping in a tent and a large modern RV. However, with all the space and conveniences comes the expense, the maintenance, and the frustration of something always needing to be repaired or replaced. The marine environment is brutal for everything; your clothing, electronics, tools, etc. These videos just glamorize the cruising lifestyle. It's not all sunsets, beaches and rum cocktails.

Yea but with a camper you can get out of it and walk around wherever you want and have the freedom to drive wherever you want to, as well as see many different sites instead of just water. It’s not like there are stores and sources of entertainment or even just being able to socialize with other people out in the middle of the sea. I personally couldn’t do this but I’m all for them being able to do this and living their best life. I bet you they are happier than the majority of people, usually people who live differently than most like this are some of the happiest simplistic people.

It was a good experience for me personally, but not for more than a week
The first problem is the people you are on board with if you go for a charter rental
After a week, WOMEN will surely find a way to create a tense situation unless they are provided with enough alcohol, but then again, that can be counterproductive.
      in terms of socialization
Camping on land has many more advantages than sailing in terms of price, variety and availability

Here's a playful rewrite of the lyrics to Barry Manilow's "Copacabana," transforming it into a song about catamaran sailing:
    ---
    (Verse 1)
Her name was Sandy, she sailed on the sea
With wind in her hair and salt on her knees
She loved the catamaran, the sails were so free
On the waves she would glide, with grace and ease
The sun was shining, the water was blue
She’d tack and she’d jibe, always something new
Sandy was happy, living her dream
On the catamaran, with the breeze in her seams
    (Chorus)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
Sailing through the day (sailing through the day)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
Where the winds always play (winds always play)
She’d set her sails to the rhythm of the tide
On the Catamaran, she’d always ride
    (Verse 2)
Her boat was sturdy, twin hulls on the rise
She’d race the waves under sunny skies
There were dolphins leaping, and seagulls in flight
As the stars twinkled down in the cool, calm night
The crew would sing, they'd hoist up the main
Heading to a new shore, she felt no pain
It was paradise, the wind in her hair
Sandy, the sailor, without a care
    (Chorus)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
Sailing far away (sailing far away)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
She'd find a place to stay (find a place to stay)
With the ocean's tune in the sun’s bright rays
On the Catamaran, she'd drift for days
    (Bridge)
Her love for the sea, it was easy to see
The catamaran was her life’s fantasy
The waves would roll, the wind would blow
And Sandy’s heart would always know
    (Chorus)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
She’d sail through the bay (sail through the bay)
    At the Catamaran (catamaran)
The ocean leads the way (ocean leads the way)
She’d catch the breeze with a perfect smile
On the Catamaran, she’d sail for miles
    ---

Um, at this point, with all the oversaturation of all things, boatlife I'm pretty sure everyone knows everything you said and more. This ain't new people just enjoy boat stuff. Hell half of us are living the life as well but we still like watching. Think about that. Half of your viewers probably got more knowledge and experience than you.

I like the video, it is just a pity, that it sounds like an advert for the yellow welly brigade*……
*this is what we commercial fishermen, in my area, call yachtsmen, and we have another name for the imbeciles in their motor launches, especially when they have cut our dahns
(a marker with a tall pole, topped with up to three different flags(the colours of the flags, let us know whose gear it is, from a distance) of usually easy to see colours on them)
off, which are usually only invisible to blind people, and which can cost us a few thousands of pounds, in lost pots(traps), if both ends are cut off, and we are unable to catch them with a grapnel(which can also ruin the season, as far as profits are concerned)……

@@adventurecrews Not only do you have to spend inordinate amounts of time cleaning and maintaining the boat's equipment, you lose a feeling of connection with everybody. I'd imagine like a prisoner might. What makes it worse is you have to pay for everything and if you fall behind you die. My wife loves the idea of sailing around the world and has all sorts of plans. Me? I just want to meet her at the destination in a hotel!
