Same here. I wish I could give this video 2 thumbs up. There are certain things I don't wear anymore, not because I'm older but because my personal style has changed over the years. I wear what makes me feel good -- sleeveless tops and tube dresses in the summer, fun hats, ripped jeans, long braids -- you name it. If anybody doesn't like it, they don't have to look at me. I was told to stop coloring my hair because I’m in my 60’s. That I should go grey. I’ve been coloring my hair since my teen years. I don’t plan on stopping because I’m an older woman.
I love that you said clothes are not made for ages, but style. My mom is 85 yo and she stated that "when you go to a store they don't have clothes displayed by age." And me nor my mom fall in to that trap, we buy what you love no matter our age.

I dress in what I like and always look at myself in my full length mirror before going out. I don't think clothes have a age limit. But, I also believe everything isn't made for everyone. Keep on bringing us the amazing content and yes to the colors and graphic tee's.

You are so beautiful, I thought you were in your early 30’s. I really loved this because I am in my 60’s . My son is in his early 40’s and my daughter is 29 so she keeps me in style. I wear my sneakers and baseball caps. I kept replaying this video because the pictures were great and I shared it with my daughter.
I'm 57 and have always gone against the style norms. I still wear my hair in 'space buns'. At a time when kids weren't allowed to express themselves, my hair and clothes spoke for me. Because I was plus size, as a young person, many tried to pigeon hold me to certain standards (to not bring attention to myself). But I still found a way to be 'Tomboy' chic, in my teens. I learned in college that there was a boldness to my style that was appropriated.

My husband got me some burgundy patent leather booties for my 44th birthday, I enjoyed them so much they worked with so many different looks. Well one day my eldest son and I went shopping, the following day at school(high school) one of his classmates said to him “I saw you at the store with girl in dope boots” and he responded that was my mom. Well she just couldn’t believe it, and said that girl couldn’t of been your mom bc she was to fly, moms don’t look like that. 😂🤣😁🥰 He told her well my mom does and it’s awesome.

I’m loving this so much. I’m in my early 60s and I wear whatever the heck I feel like. I’ve earned that right. I love color, I wear shorts, minis, and distressed jeans. Hell this summer me and my tiger striped tummy made its debut, lol. I make certain concessions, no 5 inch heels, but I’m still rocking my 3’5. I wear what’s comfortable to me. Hubby also loves the compliments I get. So that’s a bonus.

I watch fashion channels and pick up a little ideas here and there about what’s in style that season. I’m always getting a compliment on something I am wearing. As a woman in her mid forties, I love vibrant colors. I just highlighted my hair a pretty red color, and let me tell you it DEFINITELY boosted my confidence, and made me look younger. I already look younger than my age, so the vibrant colors are a plus. Sometimes you don't come into your own style until you get older. I love when you show those bright vibrant outfits on your videos. Bump those younger girls talking about what we can't wear. I'll rock my ponytail in minute!! I'm going to wear what makes me feel comfortable, what I feel makes me feel and look good. I also go bareface all the time, with a tinted or clear lip gloss, and now a little lip liner. You have never lied. I'm short (5'3) out of my medical weight range, an large busted. But being born early 60's, we had way to many style rules that I have thrown out the window. I love some platform sneakers usually, Cons, or Van's, and some Levi jeans, Bermuda to long, narrow to wide. My grown kids encouraged me to own it after a bad fall left me not able to wear heels anymore. I feel so freed! You have gorgeous legs, energy and beauty. Thanks for sharing the loving encouragement.

Excellent video! I think a lot of these beliefs about women dressing for their age is rooted in ageism. They’re saying that older women should fade into the background and become invisible or unnoticed. They’re saying that because we’re older or more mature our time to shine is over. I believe that there’s enough shine for women of all ages. As for these young girlies on Tik Tok? Anyone with a smartphone can post whatever comes out of their mouths on social media but that doesn’t make it true and it doesn’t make it worthy of sharing. The beauty of a woman who has done the work of identifying her own personal style and rocks that style no matter what the trends or what others says is unmatched! I’m not sure what has made some of these younger women think that they have the right to police what anyone else is wearing but I think they should turn in their badges and let every woman live.

I was told to stop coloring my hair because I’m in my 60’s. That I should go grey.
I’ve been coloring my hair since my teen years. I don’t plan on stopping because I’m an older woman.
I love that you said clothes are not made for ages, but style. My mom is 85 yo and she stated that "when you go to a store they don't have clothes displayed by age." And me nor my mom fall in to that trap, we buy what you love no matter our age.

I dress in what I like and always look at myself in my full length mirror before going out. I don't think clothes have a age limit. But, I also believe everything isn't made for everyone. Keep on bringing us the amazing content and yes to the colors and graphic tee's.

I agree, look in a full length mirror and try different things and be confident in whatever you decide to put together. Also, everybody can't look at a model in a book or on TV, and say I want to wear that; your body size makes the outfit too. I agree that everything isn't made for everyone but you can make a style to fit your body frame. Remember we are all unique and do not let ppl put you in a box!!!! I'm 63 and I refuse to dress my age!!! My closet is filled with bright colors, tie dyed being my fav, I find it takes me back and I feel younger. And I've seen those gals berating mature women wearing younger styles and all I can say is their mothers need a smack for raising rude and spoled brats. They need to learn some respect!

You are so beautiful, I thought you were in your early 30’s. I really loved this because I am in my 60’s . My son is in his early 40’s and my daughter is 29 so she keeps me in style. I wear my sneakers and baseball caps. I kept replaying this video because the pictures were great and I shared it with my daughter.
I'm 57 and have always gone against the style norms. I still wear my hair in 'space buns'. At a time when kids weren't allowed to express themselves, my hair and clothes spoke for me. Because I was plus size, as a young person, many tried to pigeon hold me to certain standards (to not bring attention to myself). But I still found a way to be 'Tomboy' chic, in my teens. I learned in college that there was a boldness to my style that was appropriated.
I love it. I feel like you wrote my story there. I have so much in common with you. I too was plus sized as a kid and was always discouraged from expressing my style but I went against the grain always. And honestly I’m so glad I did. 👌🏾♥️😘

My husband got me some burgundy patent leather booties for my 44th birthday, I enjoyed them so much they worked with so many different looks. Well one day my eldest son and I went shopping, the following day at school(high school) one of his classmates said to him “I saw you at the store with girl in dope boots” and he responded that was my mom. Well she just couldn’t believe it, and said that girl couldn’t of been your mom bc she was to fly, moms don’t look like that. 😂🤣😁🥰 He told her well my mom does and it’s awesome.

I’m loving this so much. I’m in my early 60s and I wear whatever the heck I feel like. I’ve earned that right. I love color, I wear shorts, minis, and distressed jeans. Hell this summer me and my tiger striped tummy made its debut, lol. I make certain concessions, no 5 inch heels, but I’m still rocking my 3’5. I wear what’s comfortable to me. Hubby also loves the compliments I get. So that’s a bonus.
I love clothes, I always have. I don’t care what anybody thinks of what I wear bc I have my own style. I watch fashion channels and pick up a little ideas here and there about what’s in style that season. I’m always getting a compliment on something I am wearing. I have a very wild side as far as Style. Fashion should be fun! Enjoy yourself -wear what looks good on you and like Coco Chanel said “always dress like you’re going to meet your worst enemy.” Ha ha! What a thing to say! But there’s a lot of truth to it. Have fun put on clothes you love and enjoy them.

As a woman in her mid forties, I love vibrant colors. I just highlighted my hair a pretty red color, and let me tell you it DEFINITELY boosted my confidence, and made me look younger. I already look younger than my age, so the vibrant colors are a plus. Sometimes you don't come into your own style until you get older. I love when you show those bright vibrant outfits on your videos. Bump those younger girls talking about what we can't wear. I'll rock my ponytail in minute!! I'm going to wear what makes me feel comfortable, what I feel makes me feel and look good. I also go bareface all the time, with a tinted or clear lip gloss, and now a little lip liner. You have never lied. I'm short (5'3) out of my medical weight range, an large busted. But being born early 60's, we had way to many style rules that I have thrown out the window. I love some platform sneakers usually, Cons, or Van's, and some Levi jeans, Bermuda to long, narrow to wide. My grown kids encouraged me to own it after a bad fall left me not able to wear heels anymore. I feel so freed!

I'm so thankful that you've posted this. Sometimes, I feel that the younger generation thinks we haven't a clue as to life and individual tastes, knowledge, etc.
Excellent video! I think a lot of these beliefs about women dressing for their age is rooted in ageism. They’re saying that older women should fade into the background and become invisible or unnoticed. They’re saying that because we’re older or more mature our time to shine is over. I believe that there’s enough shine for women of all ages.
As for these young girlies on Tik Tok? Anyone with a smartphone can post whatever comes out of their mouths on social media but that doesn’t make it true and it doesn’t make it worthy of sharing.
The beauty of a woman who has done the work of identifying her own personal style and rocks that style no matter what the trends or what others says is unmatched! I’m not sure what has made some of these younger women think that they have the right to police what anyone else is wearing but I think they should turn in their badges and let every woman live.

I’ve been bare-faced for about 25 years. I can’t imagine doing all the fuss of today’s makeup trends. To me, a lot of women look like they’re wearing masks.
