Those who assume a motor isn't solid because it's a low rpm rig is full of shit...the Caddy 500 from 1970 did 400 horse (gross) with 10-1 unleaded heads, the 454 Chevelle required 11.5-1's and about 1500 more rpm. After 73 the horsepower ratings -seemed- to drop hard, but that's because they went net, the Chevelle 454 only gets around 280 to the rear wheels tops.
#FACTS, on chevy idiots claim that its garbage because it doesnt scream to 8k rpm. this 8.2 in the vid makes more axle snapping torque at 3k than a small cock or 454 makes at 7k LOL. i have a '68 472 going into my 80 c20, cant wait!!
Yes I can confirm that the 17 liters vol. Have a 70 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe with 500 cui engine. But mine is not as loud as yours. Do you have another exhaust system underneath? You can see my Cadillac in my Channel.
