Hi! I've replaced the hdd with a Crucial MX 200 SSD. The bios seems to recognize the hard drive, but if I try to reinstall windows, it doesn't detect it! How did you do to reinstall it ? did you had some problems like this ? thanks
+rob hype Yes you can use msata or m2, BUT. It requires a special converter. If you buy it now it will be max 2 of the m.2 type from alienware itself. Or you can buy a 2 msata to 1 2.5'' interface converter and get 2 msata ssd's of the normal size. A bit older. Also consider the fact that it will be quite expensive in the end. It is almost beter to buy just a bigger 2.5'' ssd altogether.
I don't like that this laptop doesn't have a dedicated sata port. instead you have to use that adaptor to plug it into the motherboard. I wanted to ask if you have had any problems with your aw 13? I already ordered mine but before buying I didn't find anything about problems. the aw15 I have seen many problems though. great vid and thanks

My AW13 does not not recognized my ssd (Intel 530 240GB) and not shown in the BIOS. It works on other laptop & pc. Any idea?

ziang momin The processor is soldered to the motherboard , so nothing can be replaced. You can only change HDD and RAM!

thedarkpal crucial ssd are not compatible and some intel dont work with the alienware 13 samsung is your best bet mate

it can run all games and it can run cod aw at 60fps+ without the graphics amplifier and 130fps+ with the graphics amplifier
