Can the church, like it has in the past, change its policies that marginalize members??

Your quote about narcissism reminds me of covenanting to give all of my time, talents, and energy to the church when I went to the temple. It was never disclosed to me that I’d be doing this. It was assumed that as a member, the church was entitled to this. That part of the temple alone has caused me a lot of mental and emotional anxiety.
And conflict with family members!
It’s “the law of consecration” and I didn’t even know what I was promising. All I know is that I was a carefree, young adult who did what I was taught to do by going through the temple and then life got serious and boring and I never measured up to the expectations.
I cant handle these cover ups..it is against all the saviour thought about children...what is wrong with these people???.no excuse .ever.😢😢😢
Wish we could send the second class saints book to all the new members the church is baptizing in Africa right now. Think anyone is giving them all the info before joining? I doubt it.
I would donate to that fund. They SHOULD be given the opportunity for full informed consent.
Knowing God is the same yesterday, today and forever, I find this embarrassing for the church.
🥰
Tolerant dissenting opinions tolerated like Nemo requesting honesty?
I read Matts book. Holy wow. It was so eye opening!!! I was shocked
Thats gross how the church hides their people. There should be no time frame. I mean, the church even teaches you can't hide your sins from the Lord. The Lord has no statutes of limitations.
Wut?! The church actively opposes justice for SA victims! And they’re saying the quiet parts out loud?!! Wow.
@@chrisdavisproud600 but if you go to their official website…they will assure you that victims are their first concern.
No they don't
Obviously this man wasn't honest with the church at all...
The woman speaking does not know lds doctrine.
Can you be more specific?
@@GenerallyUnquotable she has , u have admited by your own words u do not know lds doctrine. U do not know what u are talking about .
@@richbrown6968 Which specific words?
@@GenerallyUnquotable u have proven by your own words that u do not know lds doctrine. Not in this video, but u don’t know lds doctrine. U don’t know what u are talking about. Yet u keep yapping about it.
@@richbrown6968 but if you can't tell me where, specifically, then you may be the one "yapping."
Really let the blackmailing begin, it's why we have statue of limitations so people cannot be blackmailed.
Question for an attorney, even if the statute of limitations has run out can a victim of SA publicly shame a perpetrator? Say newspaper ad, speaking up in testimony meeting? I realize this could open the door for false allegations but then that could be litigated.
Maybe I cannot threaten to sue or have the perpetrator arrested but I could publicly shame and expose them can’t I?
So your first worry is about someone being blackmailed and not a kid being assaulted?
Ya don’t hold the abuser accountable because… they might be disabused of their money to save their life. I am sure these kids would pay anything now to not have had that abuse at the churches coverup to have not happened. I hope all abuse children get help, know they are loved, know that is not love, can find a way through life after abuse (my sister killed herself because of abuse) and find justice and money from the abuser and anyone that may have aided or abetted in covering it up.
@@JustinPratt1 not me? I want them to be exposed so others are protected!!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will never protect ANYone involved is SA. This has already been debunked countless times. To the Host, This is not the therapy that you need. You know some things about the workings of the Holy Ghost. You have to Make drawing upon the Power of Jesus Christ your top priority, in order to heal. Don't be deterred by satan, only to become some sad cliche, fulfillment of prophesy. This is Jesus's Church and he did not fail you.
I think if it was truly Christ's church millstones would be handed out among the Q15 and Kirton McConkie. No more cash registers in the temple too.
The Church has failed many!
The church is a tool, a mere vessel to help facilitate our OWN growth and understanding. If a tool has failed you, then maybe there is a problem with the operator ...after all a tool is a only a tool
We're talking about laws and crimes on Earth. Come back to it.
@@lionspawfilmandphoto
yes, and the LDS church has never protected, and will never protect anyone perpetrating SA. These demeaning allegations have been debunked a 1000x. The Host is trying to stir up hate.
