Yeah hey, i watched alot of reviews people prefer that heavy 3.2L i5 or the new 3.0 V6 for towing but this one looks like it will do the job as well though its gonna feel highly-strung, maybe also add a transmission cooler to prevent the gearbox from overheating

The X makes sense to me too. It's the safer option especially when you consider the price of fuel. I think it will give you the best of both worlds, performance and economy. Additionally, you will get the added offroad capabilities.
Now they've made it so hard for us to choose, you have the XLT which looks menacing on the roads, you have the Wildtrak which puts menacing on another level, you have the Wildtrak X which is intimidating, then the Raptor which is a monster 😂😂😂
It sucks how Aussies, Phillipines are getting all the goodies and we're not. Having to pay for features that make the WILDTRAK X as optional. They justify the pricing by saying its got 4x4 wheels, suspension but other markets are getting Rack,Roller shutter as standard. We getting the 8inch TFT screen whre other markets are getting 12inch. And im not loving the LED backlights we are getting. I still don't know why. Im guessing like the Matrix LED, other regions are a priority cause i heard somewhere than production is slow. They going to come this side after 4years as facelift. When other markets are getting proper facelifts. Im waiting for the PLATINUM. Which is also supposed to be premium top of the range RANGER. But we still going to pay for Power rollerahutter whch sucks when you paying 1.2 Mil. Doesnt come with the Rack system like in other markets we getting the normal sport hoob from wildtrak. I guess the chrome and seats make it "Premium".
I'd buy this car, yes its disappointing it doesn't come with a V6 but i love that they give you a bit of Raptor-Like DNA with a fuel-efficient engine 🔥🔥🔥
I am curious as to why the overall package was rated lower than the rest (on average) 8.5(package) compared to. 88.75. (interior, exterior, performance, safety and tech) I'm guessing there's a reason?
Firstly great observation and I am glad you paid attention until the end. I really appreciate that. So it was suppose to be 8.875....... I round it down to 8.5. Which we could still argue should be rounded off to 9. I remember doing the calculation and concluding 8.5 will work best as a rounded number.
This is actually the only review I've seen of the wildtrakX with the 8 inch digital instrument cluster. Hence I was under the assumption that it too along with the Raptor and Ranger Platinum have the 12 inch digital cluster.
Yeah we seem to get the smaller screen. Similar case with the matrix LEDs, we don't have them on the wildtrak. We only get them on the Wildtrak X and Raptor...
Good presentation, but shouldn't you be testing the actual Wildtrak X on the road/offroad for which its actually built to give a much more informative review? BTW, you not actually going to pay 3K more for the raptor considering the ridiculous fuel consumption if you are using it as a daily commuter - Its much, much more! I know some mates who's paying almost the instalment value every month just on fuel.

@sealoftheliving4998 nah. I do not think there is lag in the Wildtrak. It's well tuned and you will see in the video that there is sufficient power all through the powerband. Less than 10sec for a 2.0 Biturbo pik-up truck is really not bad. However that's my experience. Go out to the dealer and test it. You can buy it later when the pocket is full.😂😅

The 2ltr is just fine. Raptor has a lower towing capacity due to the Race Suspension.

Yeah it was brought to my attention as well.
Here in Australia their sold with a 12 inch cluster.

the 12 inch cluster is only available in the Raptor and platinum for RSA, but in australia and Thailand you get the 12inch.
