SA has the older model. The latest model is 1.6L T and does not have a gear lever. I bought this newer model in Dubai. Its DCT is much improved and only the steering wheel is light. Rest of the car is good value for money and modern style.

Problem is , once you do bakkie things like towing will it run out of power especially on the highway. Fuel consumption will only increase from there .

I traded my polo 2.0L Gti in for this about 2 months ago. It’s the full spec R Line 4 motion with all the trimmings (but not the black pack as it’s not offered anymore) But it still comes with 19” mags. My instalment is R7200 and insurance R1345. (Granted my polo Gti gave me a good trade in). It’s a very good car and a much better drive than the polo ever was.
