The true value of a Poké Ball varies entirely on what it catches. Like how the Great Ball looks bad on most mons, but works perfectly on Tentacool and Tentacruel.

Great Ball in D tier is a basic trainer move. You only have Pokeballs at the start. Great Balls have a very small window where they're the best, and that's not even true anymore, and then they're quickly replaced by Ultra Balls being the best of the same common rarity. Usually, if you catch something with a Great Ball, it's intentional. And it doesn't look bad, it's the only red and blue ball on the market; very few of them with such a bold contrast. It's also one of the few that isn't perfectly round. Again, good for highlighting similar features on fitting pokemon. If efficacy isn't being considered, it's almost objectively above D tier. Great Ball might be the most underrated ball out there. Just needs a little extra perspective.

Dusk Ball got robbed. The ball animation goes hard. The mon literally comes out of a void every time you send it out. It's B tier minimum.
Best for Ghost type, ESPECIALLY Gengar, green and purple go perfect together, and the purple creepy cloud it pops out of is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for Gengar, plus Dusk Ball looks creepy

Fast Ball IS an Apricorn Ball, though. The original art from Gen 2 with the little lightning bolt on it looks much better than the modern design we have.

You can breed after catching a normal in a beast ball. The shiny will be born in a beast ball.

A funny fact about safari and sports ball is they can't dynamax. There is literally no dynamax animation for these two pokeballs in the game. Great flex but only for pokemon you never want to dynamax. I got a safarai ball koffing recently from mystery trade. I googled it to find out it is from HGSS's safari zone which is pretty neat.

22:20 funnily enough my first master ball went to a clefairy in yellow version. i was having the hardest time catching one and really wanted to trade the guy on route 2 for his mr. mime, so i wound up caving and using the master ball. i didnt know about mewtwo in cerluean cave at the time, but when a friend told me it was there and you could “only” catch it in a master ball i cried
My first ever master ball was used on a Steelix in Iron Island for pokemon Diamond. I didn’t know how effective dusk balls were and really wanted that giant steel snake

I think it's intentional because purple is the colour of royalty and the master is known as the ultimate ball in pokemon
Having not even watched the video yet, I'm going to say Luxury Ball is the best ball. Both for aesthetic reasons, and because it's the only ball with a practical purpose after the Pokemon is caught, since it permanently doubles your friendship growth. Ideal for pro breeders.
Friendship evolutions this gen r extremely easy though. Give 3-5 xp candies and they evolve
It also sells for a ton if you need some quick cash

My personal favorites got dunked on a bit, but I respect some of the reasons you guys gave for your list. I'm not super into the rarity aspect, I care more about the aesthetics and the animation matching my pokemon more. e.g. A Dialga in a timer ball because of the clock animation.
My favorites are: Dusk, Timer, Luxury, Net, Premier, Moon, and Cherish.
I still have a ton of Pokemon from the Dream World that I haven't caught in my White 1 cartridge, so I think I'm gonna flex on people with full Dream Ball teams once I get Sword and Shield

I caught a Male Galarian Corsola in the 1 Dream Ball from the Ball Guy. That was nice.
Also I need to now get a Fast Ball from Rotom Rally. I didn’t know it was in the game.
My favorite is the heal ball. I always carry them in case I come across a shiny. I always catch my shinies in a heal ball. I love that it has the same animation as the shiny animation, and if you toss a shiny in a heal ball, it actually does the animation twice. I love it.

I think the ball works best when you catch something that compliments it. Just like how master Ball looks best on starter Pokemon, I think seeing a Ho-oh in a pokeball makes it ss tier

Catching a Grapploct in a Quick Ball is the best way to use this ball. It thematically looks so good together.

Personal tier list:
S- premier ball, beast ball, quick ball, luxury ball
A- ultra ball, great ball, pokeball, master ball
B- repeat ball, dusk ball, level ball, timer ball, cherish ball
C- everything else
F- heavy ball, moon ball, love ball, lure ball, sport ball, fast ball
Generally my reasons for s are look of the ball itself, A tier are all so iconic, B tier are either functionally good or decent looking, and F is the stupid balls that shouldn't exist.
Edit: heal ball also gets into B tier because it's one of the few that don't have a white button on the front, so I respect the design a bit more. Also damn, my list is like the complete opposite to theirs.
I find this tier list to be much more relatable than the one in the video. Way too relatable.

Masterball should be SS tier because of its high trade stock and 100% catch rate. Also, Pokeballs are iconic. S tier for me. Friend ball is D tier for me. It looks ugly and unfriendly. An olive color is gross.

Clarification:
Friendball puts friendship close to maximum at moment of catching (effect doesn't breed down), while Luxury Ball doubles friendship the Pkmn gets by any means.

My favourite Poke Balls are Friend Ball, Level Ball, Love Ball, Moon Ball, Heavy Ball, Dream Ball, Lure Ball and the Cherish Ball, I wishes they released more of them for the up coming Pokemon Sword/ Shield Expansion Passes DCL for both in June/ November.

This tier list highlights your uncultured tastes. You chase the novel at the expense of the iconic and timeless. If you were cultured like me you'd realize that pokeballs are at least s tier. It's not to busy, and if you see one at the right moment you get pop a nostalgia chub. Luxury ball is the cat's ass as well.
