- The first of what I predict will be many videos made about Bridgerton season 3! Believe it or not, I have so much more to say. I go through the promotional images released for season 3 and do a play-by-play review and analysis of the two teaser clips. Without spoilers, I also make reference to the book(s) and discuss all the many possibilities for the upcoming season. I think, for Penn's situation in that society for the time, it kinda WAS the worst thing Colin could say/do. A man, and a Bridgerton man no less, telling a group of other men that he wouldn't be caught dead courting Penelope Featherington was basically a death sentence for her hope for marriage. He might as well have been on a loudspeaker in front of the entire Ton saying "she's not good enough" because lots of people know and have seen how Penn is very close with all the Bridgertons, but especially Colin and Eloise. So if Colin says that there's no way HE would court her, knowing how well he knows her, the other bachelor's would likely assume there's something about her that makes her unsuitable as marriage material. I would be LIVID at Colin for this ALONE, nevermind being slighted by her long-time crush.

💯 It was his carelessness that was the most hurtful. She's been dealing with the unrequited crush, but it was the throwing her under the bus to every prospective suitor that broke her. Colin's complete obliviousness regarding Pen is a symptom of his repressed feelings.
Think he unconciously did this to throw the other men off wanting her. He made her undesirable to anyone but him.

The I miss you is special because the more she doesn’t write, the more he can go over his mind about how he feels even as a friend.
The fact that he is more upset that she didn’t write and not caring about other people not doing so says something. Penelope is the one person he longs to confide in and while he does mingle with others, he strives to find Penelope.
And the fact that these two break every rule as “friends” is just fascinating to me.
I am glad she stood up for herself, but do agree that he is not a bad person and just said some stupid things. He does care about her and her family.
16:07 in the book, Eloise was writing to Sir Philip while Penelope and Colin are “hanging out” I wonder if they’ll do that same thing? But again if they start building that storyline would they skip Benedict again?!
At first, I made the same mistake as you did with this clip. I was so confused I went looking for a rewatch of the 2/14 fan event and realized they said the clip was the first 2 minutes of EPISODE 3 not season 3. It all made sense then!
That makes more sense.
Maybe they meant like "first LOOK at/broadcast of a couple minutes (generally) from S3", and worded it clumsily so it sounded more like "literally the first moments of S3 specifically episode 1"? I think it was a confusingly-worded way to announce/introduce the video, maybe.
I can't. stop. for even a second researching everything Bridgerton, today I threw myself at my computer desperately trying to get more and IM NOT HIDING IT. Earlier I told my mom this is the kind of obsession that is shameless 🤣 when they released the Bridgerton candles, they knew what they were doing. But literally, how are we supposed to remember if we don't do this?!?!?! Like we're trying so hard ahhhhhhhhh- and I can't help it either. As for season 2, I wasn't watching out for it as much because I didn't know what to expect and I also was busy, but to help me be patient I did stay away from it. BUT MY GOODNESS THE SAME EFFECT IS NOT LASTING BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO KNOW MORE not only because this is about Polin but also because I attended the ball and ON TOP OF THAT I can just relate to Eloise and Penelope sooooooooooooooooo much- there is so much I want to know.
It's not even possible to HOLD BACK how I feel about this season!!!!!!!!! I literally need to know what Pen is going to do next, what Eloise is going to do next, I can't spend a single day not wondering what happens next XD
After the ball I stopped myself for a year from getting obsessed but now I'm back and it's impossible to wait. The second I could sit down, I was back researching Bridgerton topics forever. There is just so much to talk about, I could never stop. I can relate to so many of the characters. I get why so many people love it so much.
I feel like she could lose feelings because I was once in a situation like that where I waited SO long but the guy was just not responsive and there's a point where you just don't like them anymore, because they're making you suffer. So yes, it's possible to decide you just don't have feelings anymore, when it gets to that point. Like because Colin is giving her no sign at all, she really has to move on, and you feel that drive naturally when you're forced into that position. It really feels horrible. For me it didn't last years, not even one year, like it's at the end of the year that I completely decided to move on. But for the entire year my feelings were fluctuating so I eventually had to move on. Because no matter what he did next, he made me suffer for a year. There is a point where your feelings disappear as you watch them move on from you.

I truly enjoy your videos because you articulate a lot that I've been thinking about! I'm so excited for Polin season because Penelope storyline and overall friends to lovers trope is something so beautiful and I really want to see that happen. I believe that in the show they can go through many paths really exploring depth of characters and I'm in for it!! I want to see confident!Penelope and Colin to wake up haha. And I want a lot of treats as Polin fan... Mirror, carriage, him making her see the goddess that she is, I want them to be so romantic and in tune as friends who feel for one another... Ayyy they can do so much with Polin as we already know them through S1&2!!!
Side note for season 3 - it's also gonna be big because on the side there is Francesca's love story (in the 1st announcement of s3 was 3rd son and 3rd daughter - Penelope is 3rd daughter, yes but so is Francesca). And with Francesca they have a lot of to build up in the show. Her and John's story was kind of friends/lovers, too. But of course her and Michael is gonna be completely another level, like a destiny love story (Idk but book!FrancescaxMichael they're my fav!!! there is something so raw and real, I can't wait to see them together one day!!) BUT! Going back to Polin season - I hope for them to make us crazy with their love portrayal. And I'm sure we gonna be screaming. I'm sure I will, whatever they gonna do in the show haha
For each family member there is unique love story and I'm gonna enjoy them all, hopefully there gonna be all seasons happening (the show is massive afterall). For now with the seasons I guess it's gonna be 4 as they've said and then announcement for sure for S5, maybe 6??? (I really hope so). For H & G I can't place my bets yet, they're still young.
(Okay I'm getting on several topics at once but Bridgerton world is so huge and there is so much fun in connecting the dots and exploring possibilities especially when the show is really elevating the books and taking us into Bridgertonverse haha)

Am I the only one that doesn’t like Eloise? I liked her in the books but not so much in this show.
I feel like she's more self-centered in the show but we have to keep in mind that she's young and she'll probably grow... I feel like she hasn't been a very good friend to Penelope.
I feel like her & Penelope were more like able in the books. They seemed to have better balances in character.
In the books, Penelope says some of the things Eloise does in the show about the difference between women & men. In the books, Eloise says she wasn’t against marriage just that she wanted a love match like the rest of her siblings. Eloise is too abrasive in the show.
@@angelbaby3838 Eloise is basically a trope in the show. It's why so many people liked Daphne, because she felt like a breath of fresh air.
The problem with Eloise is that she constantly complains about her life. while not acknowledging her own privilege. She's judging these women because they are going out and getting married. These women don't have the luxury of having the Bridgerton fortune or having a bunch of siblings to take the burden off of them. Penelope family is poor they have to be out in the dating Market. That's why Portia send all of her daughters out in the season at the same time. Which is seen as tactless because the oldest is supposed to be married off first
