DIY Refashion Men's shirt into 2 piece summer set - Step by step tutorial

I hope you're all doing well. Today video is a very exciting one. I really love the result. I refashion a Men's shirt into 2 piece summer set.
It has 2 ways to wear for the top of the summer set and they both look great.
To make this DIY, I suggest you to use a very/super big size Men's shirt. I used 3XL one for my body (82-64-92).

Jo Hazelle Tadlas yes, I'll try to explain it more details next time. However, for this DIY, it's quite free size. So medium size could still fix on it. It all depends on the size of the men's shirt

Hey! what are the measurements if I use L shirt
It'll be hard for a small shirt. Because you couldn't make the pants easily. Before doing it, check the width of the shirt to see if it's bigger than your hip size or not. If it is, you can use that shirt. If not, I think you should go with another bigger shirt or make the skirt instead of the pants.
hi jess, i love your videos and its my second time doing your DIYs! how do you measure your bust size for your top?
I used the big size men's shirt. So the width of the search is already bigger than my bust size. The way measure your bust size is put the sewing tape around your body at the breast area.

Jess dang what do u call that stitch that u do with the hem before you attach it to another fabric? Like in this video? Do all sewing machines have this?
I used the zigzag stitching with overlock presser foot to do it. You can check my video "Basic sewing tools & tips" to know more details
