    Love to see you get a BMS to work for a consistent amount of time with a inverter runing on them.

    Looks pretty cool how you did it.

      Been running mine for about a year, no issues. I like them but would do the Titans if I’d do it all over again. They’re just more compact and with the right setup don’t need to run over 14.3v.

    Hello from the high desert of New Mexico USA 🇺🇸. I live in my 1967 GM TDH-4519 city transit bus, it uses two 160 pound 8d 200ah 4400 cranking amp batteries (which are dead, won't go over 8 volts) each wired in parallel for 12 volts 400ah 8800 cranking amps , how many cells do you think I would need to start it. Keep up the good work and stay safe and charged

      You’ll need at least 6 of these cells in series. Recommended charging voltage of 14.8 so keep that in mind.

    You still using this in a car?

    • @ogscythe6118
      @ogscythe6118  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. If I have any regret, is that I should have purchased both banks I own at the same time. I have a cell(s) that must be a B grade or just went bad somehow. I have to balance my cells every other month or else I have voltage issues. Already replaced my balancer and the buss bars

    Hello are those buss bars aluminum? Can lithium batteries start a car if a front battery delete?

    • @ogscythe6118

      Yes, they’re the Machineworx Economy aluminum buss bars.
      Been starting my car for over a year now, everyday.

    Do you still have to manually balance the cells before assembly if you are installing a balancer with the cells?

    • @ogscythe6118
      @ogscythe6118  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, always balance (in parallel) before assembling them. Some 14 gauge wire (Sky High) is more than enough. I have 2 other videos of balancing. Check those out too.

    I was wondering I was going to balance my 40ah xs cells in parallel I have 2 banks 12 yinlong I seen just to hook all the pos together and all negative together.the leave it or does it need a charger? And where d is you get your charger?

    • @ogscythe6118
      @ogscythe6118  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve done it both ways now. You could wire all in parallel and charge to 2.55 (for 15.3v assembled) but I prefer leaving them alone then charging afterwards.

    Can you use a noco genius 5 to charge them?
    Would you charge them while in parallel or series? And would you charge it with a BMS connected?

    • @ogscythe6118
      @ogscythe6118  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You “can” but you should really use a 30v/10a Variable DC Power Supply charger.
      If you use any other charger that is meant to float a battery after charging, monitor the battery and disconnect once it drops into floating voltage.
      I’d balance, reasonable and charge in series to the desired set voltage your cars alternator charges at. And yes, you can charge with a BMS connected. Some people don’t use a BMS but service their cells regularly therefore do not charge with a BMS. Hope this points you in the right direction

      @@ogscythe6118 I charged mine to 14.7 (cars charging voltage) but later dropped to 13.5v in the process of connecting, it stays 13.5-.6v while car is on . Should I recharge and start the car?
      Can I charge the cells with everything connected? Like my amps and isolator

    • @ogscythe6118
      @ogscythe6118  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@angelnoguera1209 that’s a loaded question. Does your car drop voltage such as my Honda does with the ELD (electric load detector) that turns off the alternator? Did the car charge higher with the conventional acid battery?
      There may be a parasitic draw somewhere. It should quickly bump up the voltage with the cars alternator if the charging voltage is 14.7. Make sure all the cells are the same voltage. You can charge with the balancer and don’t believe the amps connected would be harmed but you should break the bank apart and redo. I advise you to join a Yinlong group on Facebook. There’s a lot of knowledge people there that may also be able to assist.

      @@ogscythe6118 so my cells are on a split charge with a isolator right off the alternator (BMW charges at 14.7-15v) I balanced them already evenly before assembling and I have a bms balancer connected, charged it up to 14.8 and it slowly drops down to 13.5ish. Sometimes when I drive I notice it goes up to 14.2v but morning drives it stays at 13.5v

    Who would make a public video with television running in the back ground? And who would go to all that trouble with dubious speaker wire, to do the balancing, when they had aluminium plates they could have popped on and hand tightened the nuts?

      Up To Bat Entertainment all depends on how urgently you need it. I’m still working on my layout and alternator. Just finished making my panels for the trunk and not satisfied so will upholster then it’s alternator dismantling time to increase set point voltage to 15.3v.

      Og Scythe ok cool I didn’t know it droppin Hz was legit or just go to the source who supplied them. I think all car audio ppl are using some of this time to work on our systems lol... I’m in the process of rewiring my grounds and a new dsp! Hope you get the panels the way you want them & your install goes smooth 💪✅
