I'm going to Disneyland for the first time on July 21 during a California family vacation (coming from New Jersey). Now I know where to eat- Plaza Inn and fried chicken. 70 years old and finally making it to Disneyland. Can't wait !

How exciting, enjoy your trip. I always tell people on their first journey to Disney parks to go to Disneyland first. Not as overwhelming as Walt Disney World in FL for first timers!

I was there also on the 4th and yes the crowds were back, but the longest ride I was in was about 30mins and I did 16 rides, fireworks and the 7pm marine showing. It was some fun times.

Disneyland on July 4th a few years ago was the single most overwhelming and incredible trip to Disney I’ve ever had 🥺🥺🙏🏼🙏🏼 (even compared to Christmas Day lol)

I was there yesterday as well and it was amazing! Got on Matterhorn and it's still the same back breaking fun I remember. The power outage and most rides closing sucked but once power came back, that allowed us to go on Big Thunder Mountain twice back to back with less than 5 minutes waiting time. I managed to get a perfect view of the castle from a table at the Jolly Holiday Cafe while eating a roast beef sandwich. Fireworks were great, but I just wished the 4th of July patriotic part had been longer. After fireworks ended, my sister and I made the crazy decision to go to Space Mountain before they closed. Trying to cross that huge almost stampeding crowd from the Jolly Holiday Cafe to Tomorrowland was insane! But we made it in time.
So fun I was there yesterday !! I got to see the band perform in the theater in person and it was amazing! My dad is a Marine, so it was very special! This was also our first time back since March 2020 and we will be back in a couple days for more Disney fun! I tried a few new things this trip thanks to your videos :) hope you had a great 4th thank you for the videos !

Great video! I went on the Matterhorn on my first trip to Disneyland, I was 10 years old and that was in 1965!!!! 51 years ago and it seems pretty much the same. I remember waiting in line for 45 minutes with my younger brother and my cousin who was 2 years older than myself. During the wait my cousin kept preaching to me over and over, not to scream, I promised him I would not but once they boarded us we were seperated with my cousin in the first car with a very young couple and my brother and I were in the car behind them. Well, I did not scream once but we not! I could hear the young woman in my cousins car screaming her head off and I notice at one time my cousin had his fingers in his ears trying to muffle her screams. We have been teasing my cousin about this for years. Such fun and long ago memory, thanks for including the Matterhorn in the video!

Katie, we grew up in the Bay Area - my mom took us twice and once as teenagers, but the chicken brings back all those memories. When I go now, as an adult, I still make sure to have it once during my trip….and in addition to the nostalgia, it’s flat out delicious ✅❤️

What a wonderful 4th of July you all had today. It's so nice to see that the Disneyland we love is coming back. We can't wait to go back, hopefully for Xmas that is our favorite time to be there. It would be nice to meet you both since we feel like we all know you from all the home vlogs and the walks on the beach and of course Miss Binki. The bands were amazing and the fireworks were so much fun to see again. yeah to Disneyland.
