Ratchet 2 as a speedgame has always frustrated me due to being the only game in the quadrilogy with so many version differences, and the optimal version either being inaccessible (PS2) or being limited in the movement that brings so many people into it in the first place (PS3). I've grown to prefer PS3 and have loved it in spite of it's movement (foot poking, fuck yeah), but I don't see myself sticking to either version for much longer. Hopefully this mod gets a leaderboard similar to what Jak has for opengoal, this is the future of Ratchet 2 and has worked out every small issue that's plagued the game for years. I cannot wait to try this out and I cannot wait to see what the more experienced runners (like yourself) have in store with this mod.
@@victoralonso2787 There's no official movement guide, but anything you have seen from a playstation 2 runs can be performed on this version, and is the selling point of the mod
As Alex said, anything ps2 black label can do. It literally undoes the patch they did for red label/greatest hits to revert it, but on ps3 instead :) This means it includes: decoy/bomb glove tech, full height proxies, midair tech including midair charges, wrench swings, and decoys, neutral tech, spam charging, and I’m probably forgetting heaps lol.
1. Have to own a hard drive if you mean that which only fat ps2s support 2. If you mean usb or opl, loads are worse than disc so obviously worse for speedrunning

Yep what isak said above. I bought the disc before the mod was used, I was simply saying I will not use it as a way to exemplify how much I prefer playing the ps3 bl mod version

I agree 1000% with what you're saying. Rac2 was in a really tricky spot and this pretty much solves that IMO.

Why would you spend money on a replacement disc when you can just put the game on a drive for free?

Nope you play the mod using the racman tool on real ps3 :) you can also use it on the emulator rcps3
