Such an interesting battle. On the French side you had German veterans of WW2 in the Legion fighting alongside Moroccans, Algerians, Senegalese, and some local Vietnamese drafted to fight for France.
70% of French Foreign Legion was German. And Legion was main contingent of French forces. Also die hard French volunteers, many of whom had been Vichy nationalist during WW2.@@NKWittmann
