I really don’t trust these “experts”. Just by his intro video, they should’ve known this man wasn’t marriage material. He’s only therapy material.
The experts screwed up...they didn’t know he was previously engaged like 3 months before this went down. That would have been a hard pass cause he wasn’t ready to jump into marriage at a short period of time and also he’s not doing this for the right reasons.
Exactly!!! The fact they picked him at all was confirmation enough for me that the “experts” are primarily interested in DRAMA and ratings. And as such, had zero respect for poor Page and how his bs, on national television yet, was going to be nothing short of abuse. They don’t get called out enough IMO, they’re horrible experts and nasty humans for not caring about a person’s mental health and well-being.
Self aware and honest people generally don't make for good reality tv

Also, any dude who's told me he's into submissive and intelligent women is usually a liar. They only say "intelligent" because they think their partner's intelligence is a great reflection on him. Again, yuck!
Intelligence and submission don't usually go hand in hand
They rarely want independently intelligent women. They want a woman who thinks just like them and hypes up their pseudo intellectualism. At minimum they just want you to be smart enough to look both ways before crossing the street.
Typically, a man who says he wants a submissive and sexual woman as his wife is really more interested in owning a pet. They generally don't like authentic relationships, because authentic relationships include conflict.
There's a quote by Trevor Noah that fits here "The way my mother always explained it, the traditional man wants a woman to be subservient, but he never falls in love with subservient women. He's attracted to independent women. "He's like an exotic bird collector," she said. "He only wants a woman who is free because his dream is to put her in a cage."

As someone on the dating scene currently, the term submissive is used a lot by men. They say it's because they want a "traditional wife," but really they want someone who will never talk back to them, question their authority, and serve them hand and foot. Basically, a slave.

One of the black matchmakers on that show admitted that he was against Chris and Paige being together, but got overruled by the white matchmakers who thought they were a good match. The producers of the show clearly only wanted Chris on that show to stir up drama because it was obvious that he wasn't ready for a relationship. They sacrificed Paige's emotional state and mental health for their show's ratings and money.
Hit, "like," right away when Dr Honda made a face when the word submissive came up. 😄

I think he’s looking for that mid 20th century aesthetic of having the wife at home raising five and a half kids, greeting him at the door with a glass of bourbon and his slippers after work. I’m not even necessarily saying that’s bad as long as the wife is okay with the arrangement but I wish more men would just say exactly what they want instead of all of these sneaky words like “legacy” and whatnot.
Absolutely! Keep it real. There is someone who wants to hand some man his slippers and pop out kids but nobody wants to be tricked.

The strange thing is, they found him someone who was exactly what he asked for. Paige really dogged a bullet. I hope she will continue to grow and avoid potential mates like him.
Honestly I'm surprised she didn't leave him at the alter when that "honeymoon baby" comment came up 😬 and if not then DEFINITELY when he started talking heavily about sex during their first meal together, including asking her if she was on birth control 😰

Dr Kirk sees red flags in the first 5 minutes of the matchmaking episode that experts claim they did not see.. ahem. yet all of us viewers saw them!! From the very first episode... 🤦🏻♀️. thank you Dr Kirk for reviewing this couple! The world needs your insight.

I really think the producers only brought Chris on that show just to start drama and to make someone’s life absolutely miserable. They knew dang well that he was not ready to get married and that the things he was looking for is not conducive to what a majority of women are today. Sexy, good in bed, and submissive...
Sidenote: I was an exotic dancer at a very popular Atlanta club and yes Chris was a regular of mine. Very much full of himself, but of a simp with the dancers he enjoyed, if yoyr slim and pretty he was easy to finesse money out of.

This couple is reason I stopped watching MAFS, I absolutely could not stand watching him and how they related to each other. That said, I’m here for Dr Honda’s take on their massive dysfunction.

Thank you so much for covering Chris and MAFS. I stopped watching 90 day because I feel it has gotten too scripted and fake (I live near Aseulu and Kalanai so I see the fake first hand). I'm glad you are covering another show I watch and you picked the rgood couple for sure.
