We got a bad ass here folks. You do know people with some sense actually own cars too? You know things like the environment and not wanting to have your wallet siphoned from by big oil. It's okay to own cars and in a lot of cases the best choice. So we would look at a truck as feeling different than what we normally drive.
All the other American trash will be in the repair shop 5 years later while the Toyota will be fighting guerilla warfare 15 years later with no maintenance needed.
As a former Taco owner and current Ranger owner I feel I should pipe in. The handling reviews to me were odd. I definitely don't get car sick while driving and in fact it not only handles great but my daughter - who does get car sick in many vehicles - does not get car sick in the Ranger. It drives like a truck. Just like the Taco, it drives like a truck. The Ranger also does come with a plastic bed liner if preferred. The Taco I will say was shifty at low speed with hills, but I'd just select the gear I wanted to get around that. Overall the Taco was... fine. Nothing exciting. Money was an issue so I couldn't get anywhere near the big TRD one (unfortunate initials?). The Colorado I considered but no way I'd get the gas one with diesel available and again money was a consideration. I got a FX4 Ranger for $33 (prior year, retired loaner) and it's just loaded with neat stuff. For what it's worth in my experience the Ranger does NOT shift out of 4 low by itself. I wish they'd done their test again here. I like how he got stuck and then complained when he was able to get out of it using the features of the truck! And if un-dampened aluminum tailgate is too much for you to handle maybe you shouldn't be buying a truck anyway...
I agree and the first thing I am thinking is that they are being paid by Toyota or Chevrolet. Also, look at the tires on the Toyota and Chev vs the Ford. Ranching, I know that tires are a big part of traction off road. The lady driving the Toyota never had the truck off centered ie 1 or more tire off the ground. Lastly, if you are looking for a truck that will stay in tact and is made for off roading as well as city, the Ford is the one. Chev will fall apart and Toyota is good for off road but not city as well as they have been having problems with the Toyota. Watch the video more than once and you will see that they have already made up their mind on which trucks they like.
For the 99% of truck buyers that only buy a truck for the 2 times a year they need to carry furniture in the bed and the only off-roading they do is the dirt parking lot at their kid's baseball game, the ridgeline is by far the best choice.
@@huehuehue-x3c Just buy a minivan then if your going to use it for minivan purposes. You get more seats, massive cargo room, can tow nearly as much. Nobody in a ridgeline is going to be off roading anyways.
Yeah I got shit to tow and I drive to cell sites every day for work. If I had kids USB ports in the rear would be big too. They're making reviews for everyone, not just offroading nerds
Naw, maybe because it can't off road like the others. It has a CVT with no dedicated low range transfer case. I am not sure why, I think it's a great truck.
Well initially i got to check out comparison of trucks, then i read some posts.. but i gotta say i kept stopping the clip to look at them boobs ( O )( O ) at 3,40 and 3,50..
I was in a Toyota dealer last year getting my Camry serviced, my kids were with me. My 4 year old daughter sat inside a red Tacoma in the driver’s seat and says “ look at this truck it’s soooo trucky” . And now this review said the same about Tacoma, made me smile.
I have a 2018 Colorado myself and I love this truck. Great for both running around towns for errands with a very quiet cab and decent gas mileage, but gets me in the tough spots when out working on the job site. I wouldn't trade it in for any other mid size.
I'm kind of partial to my 2018 Colorado, too. There's no other truck I'd consider for what I need. I'm kind of pissed that they dropped the extended cab for 2023, though.
They didn't even talk about towing capacity, etc. Towing with a 4 banger....no way. I had to add, what about mud. I volunteer in piney-woods of East Texas...very little rock, but lots of mud.
As someone who grew up on the bench seat of a D-150, a second gen Dakota, a 2500 Dodge Cummins, and now owner of a third gen. Dakota I use for towing and hauling, this review was painful to watch.
I got the Ranger with the standard suspension (non FX4) and test drove both. The standard suspension is much less 'floaty' than the FX4 one. So if you're not in it for off road capability, like me 95% of the time, skip the FX4 package.
Pretty fair analysis! Toyota can be behind the curve on a few things but capability and reliability wins me over every time! Ford will work out the kinks in a year or two. Grats to you, Chevy!
One of the few videos that spends time looking at the underseat storage. Thank you! Such an important thing for a lot of people--and such a BIG WIN for the Tacoma. :)
I have that exact 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, well I should say my wife does, it has a mechanical rear locking differential. I do believe it is part of the Z71 off road package, and not an option. the wife and I like the Colorado so much we bought two them. The other is a 2018 ZR2. They are great daily drivers. As far as engine power goes, we tow a 22' 4300lb travel trailer with the Z71.
The Ranger obviously went out of Low Range because he went to fast or hit the accelerator to hard, it would’ve been to protect the car from Mechanical damage. It’s good if you needed to use the Low and the diff lock because that’s what it’s their for, not just to sit there.
I bought my 2009 brand new and still have it. I've only changed the oil and air filter - it has 152k miles!! (Actually have to get all the 100k stuff done, though.)
@@Davido50 Nice! Even though it will never last as long as a Toyota, I hope you get some enjoyment out of it. Just stay off of the "big boy" trails. :)
I knew right from the beginning that the Colorado was gonna be the winner. This comparison test was excellent. It had plenty of info and tips, along with the trucks being tested off road and on the pavement. I've watched other reviews on different channels where the people reviewing the vehicles don't make their decisions on the vehicles in all ways it would be used in modern day lifestyle. Some are too keen in on performance instead of also looking into comfort, mpg, and space.
Some people like a tough vehicle that will give them many miles of trouble free use, that would rule out any GM product. My sierra is a lawn ornament for the last year and has had a major issue every year after the warranty went out. GM can piss off. Built to fail products. Ill take the Toyota any day.
As a Chevy Colorado owner I will say this. I was looking at both the Tacoma and Colorado before my purchase. The Colorado beat the Tacoma in EVERY category on my list of needs except approach and departure angles... which can be modified if desired further down the road. I have had many Toyotas and GM trucks over the years. I like GM better for simplicity of maintenance purposes. They are about equally reliable. (Cars are a different story though). I paid $32.5 out the door for my 18' Z71. Removed the air dam... added skids and sliders for $650 total. Boom... it's all I need. Over the first 39k miles it has been nothing short of amazing. The build quality is MANY order of magnitudes higher than my first gen Colorado was... or my old 00' Silverado was. Everything is screwed on instead of plastic clips for one. At the end of the day all three trucks are good options with excellent re-sale. The real question is... which flavor of ice-cream do you want???
Get that Colorado buried front+rear in sand and post a video of the Chevy 4x4 system failing to get out. Meanwhile the Tacoma with A-Trac and Crawl Mode will get itself out and be able to tow the Colorado out 😉 (Just some lighthearted fun btw)
@@rottdad775 Lol! Many of my co-workers and I talk smack all the time to each other. I saw that video. The funny thing was watching how hard the guy had to work to get the two trucks stuck in sand. He then gave extra gas the Colorado and started flinging sand and stated that it needed help. Anyone who is trained to drive in sand knows to just put it in 4WD Low range and let it idle with the tires spinning slowly. Turning the front tires back and forth. Sand will fall down into the hole and lift the truck. Which is what the Toyota system did when it recovered itself. Mine has been great out on the beach in the out banks... driving up and over the dunes looking for wild horses. Surprised me out in Moab, UT and Colorado as well. Also, a Chevy Colorado has a 47:1 crawl ratio vs the 36:1 on the Taco. 😜
Very helpful review. One significant feature that separates the GM twins from the others, and one rarely mentioned in detail by reviewers, is the “auto” transfer case setting that provides full time 4WD. Full time 4WD is similar to AWD and is a distinct improvement over part time 4WD when road conditions are mixed with stretches of bare road interspersed with patchy areas of snow or ice.
Yes, that feature is amazing in the winter. I am always a little hesitant to switch to 4wd in the tacoma when its snowing, but the silverado is in auto 70% of the time. I don't like the seats in the silverado though, no matter how much I adjust, I can't find a good setting.
Shane Schexnayder Yes. Like the Tacoma the Colorado has transmission problems with some folks. Toyota reprogrammed to fix theirs. GM was flushing fluid and sometimes changing tq converters to fix theirs. It was discovered that the fluid was collecting water from the air and holding it like brake fluid does. They just put out a new type of fluid to fix it. No more problems. Everyone who has the fluid has had the problem go away. Nobody I know of had the problem though. So it must be a conditional thing that allowed water to build in the fluid.
They say that because it’s not a manual option. It kicks in when it senses it it needed, the ranger and Tacoma have a button that you have to push in order to engage it.
There really wasn’t anything bad about the Tacoma. You can get USB ports as a option on the Tacoma’s. You also got a option to lock or unlock the bed with your key fob. And a lot of the stuff you want they probably got but you just got to find the right truck. I love Tacoma’s
Um its not Tacoma’s it’s Tacomas. If you use Tacoma’s, it would say, I love Tacoma is, because Tacoma’s is a conjunction or possessive noun. Tacomas is plural, so it is correct
Just test drove an FX4 Ranger the other day and I didn't notice any of the flaws they were pointing out. My fiance an I both thought it drove really well and had zero complaints. The offroading here is a joke based on what's shown.
@@kingavegarage8722 Look at people who actually own these trucks and offroad them to see what they're actually capable of. These kinds of media tests are always a joke.
@@kingavegarage8722 I would hardly call it struggling. They stopped before it slipped and gave up all their momentum, then wouldn't leave the throttle open long enough to let traction control do its job. On top of it, they tried switching to 4lo with the Tcase bound up causeing it to never make the switch in the first place. Of course, as soon as they locked the diff it walked right up. I wouldn't even be slightly worried about taking a new Ranger offroad.
I understand the Nissan is dated at this point, but weird how it wasn’t even mentioned here. I just took home a used 9,000 mile Frontier pro4x with locking diff, skid plates, leather, sunroof, nav, heated seats, Bluetooth, factory spray in bedliner, and great off-road tires for under $25,000. I saved $6000 over a comparable Taco or Colorado and it does everything these other trucks do, admittedly in a more dated package. I’ll happily keep my $6000 for that trade off. If you’re shopping for a midsize and don’t care so much about having the truck with the newest style and most recent redesign, I highly recommend checking out the frontier. You can save some decent $ and have a great truck .
Tri Pacer Where are you located? There’s plenty around. You just have to look. Honestly you probably could have bought an ‘18 Frontier brand new for what you spent on your 17 Taco used.
Just bought a 2019 Pro 4X Frontier after test driving everything else. IMO, its the best truck. Just happens to cost allot less as well. Comfortable seats, great center stack with NAV, SAT 10 speaker stereo with dual climate control zones.. But I really like the ergonomics of the cabin. Nissan really nailed it back in 05. The VQ40 24 valve DOHC with sequential port injection is all about reliability and smooth power with loads of torque. The Frontier chopped Titan ladder frame is stronger then your c channel taco. All steel this truck is a tank. Don't have to deal with gear searching crap taco transmission. Still getting 18-20 MPG and doing it with a 4.0 V6. No gimmicks here. The offroad worthiness is right up there with a tacoma offroad or the new ranger FX4. Yet this truck never gets much mention on other reviews. Which is dumb because people do buy these you know. And in RECORD numbers no less. Nissan selling more of them then ever. Why? Because truck prices have gone insane and they just want something that works. Because its now rated number one reliable in segment. The Tundra is now rated most reliable in Full size. Its funny to point out those are the two old school trucks that have not been updated. All steel, with heavy duty transmissions etc.. Newer = worse in my book.
Only Tacoma’s made before 2016. The 3rd gen engine transmissions are absolute garbage. I don’t know how there isn’t a class action lawsuit against Toyota by now. Trust me I made the mistake of buying one. The days of Tacoma reliability are over. Ford will be the number one contender in 2021.
Gerry Rice no they did not. The dealership told me that Toyota knows about the problem and that’s it’s a very common complaint and there is no current fix for it. As such, Toyota is deeming as normal for that model. What a crock of shit. I’m already looking for another vehicle. Problem is, no matter what brand I get I know they are all pieces of shit these days.
I have a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma and it’s excellent and everyone else I know with a 3 gen says the same thing Toyota is and has been known for their reliability Their saying it may change when they move all to Mexico
The Chevy Colorado DOES have a rear locker! The G80 option code in the glove box indicates an Auto Rear Locker. It is made by Eaton and has been reliable for decades. The diffs are made by Dana. The Tcase is made by MAGNA. The Auto mode for the 4wd makes the system 10x more usable in real life. The Colorado has more flex and a lower crawl ratio than the Taco by far. Pleasant surprises when on the trail.
@@brokenjava11 … Jonathan is correct! They are made in the U.S.A. and... out of all vehicles sold in the U.S. they rank at #8 as being the most made in the USA.
How can they make such a blunder. If I’m not mistaken, it’s an automatic rear locker. No wonder he had no problem going up the hill. If the Ranger would have manually locked the rear he would have gone up also with little effort. These big corporate reviews are garbage.
Powertrain tech an power head & shoulders above all else. I test drove all an drove em hard. The Ranger drove best & powertrain felt like a luxury vehicle. '19 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 in my driveway!
This is a very good review! It feels more conversationally natural than some of your older ones, and I feel like that lets some more subtle observations stick out like they would for us as prospective buyers. More of this please!
I just tried to make my ranger shift out if 4lo on its own, and it would not without putting it in neutral. It went through many gears and has sport mode where it held whatever gear I picked.
The FX4 package on the Ranger includes the Terrain Management System. That really should have been included in the review for that section of the test. I’m not sure how the truck magically shifted back into high. I am guessing user incompetence. We have been reviewing all three of these vehicles for purchase and I think this review was pretty poorly done and bordered a tad on deceit by disclosure.
Nice review. However, I think the Frontier Pro-4x would have been a nice addition. It’s outdated but very reliable. It has more rear seat room and comfort than Tacoma and Colorado. And it’s way cheaper.
I drove all three and ended up buying a new Colorado Z71 4WD. The Tacoma is a great truck but I hated the seating position with legs straight out and its driving dynamics are subpar compared to the Colorado including its grabby brakes. The only thing I liked about the Ranger was the turbo power, but in reality it's no quicker than the Colorado. Kudos to Toyota for the push button start because that is a great feature on a very antiquated truck. My business partner has a 2016 Colorado Z71 4 wheel drive with 136,000 miles and hasn't had to do anything other than scheduled maintenance so that played a part in my decision.
I can take my stock trd off-road and tear up the trails in AZ. It feels at home there and I see multiple generations of tacos out there. The competition cannot change that cultural acceptance over night.
The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 has an automatic locking rear differential.. most of the 4X4 versions of the truck also have a locking diff as an added option.
I was gonna get one, but the curved rear cab (where it meets the bed) was a deal breaker, it made the truck too round, and I was looking at the GMC Canyon! the boxier of the twins! If it was a straight vertical line, I would have liked it more.
It's like hipster amateur car review hour. Crazy that they actually get paid for this. This crew seems best suited to review compact economy cars and fixies and coffee.

I recently went back to the Taco (a 16) . . . I work at a GM dealer, and absolutely no F-ing way could anyone convince me to actually buy a Colorado (or any GM product for that matter). The bosses would literally need to pay me to own a Colorado. I'd be tempted by the Ranger. . . . but only if there was a "Raptor" version
I’m planning to keep my truck for the next 20years that’s why I picked the Toyota for its reliability and great looking design that stands the test of time

We just bought a new 2019 Ranger, Test drove all 3. Tacoma was never in the running . Colorado was tied with the Ranger but Ford had much better incentives at the time. Invoice price then the incentives subtracted from that. Happy with the Ranger XLT with 302A option package, 8 way electric adjustable front seats, driver and passenger.
I enjoy all 3 trucks, but I love my 2019 Ranger. I think there was a lot of bias in this review. The Ranger just feels more durable than the Colorado, and has plenty of power. Some of the critique was about USB ports and the touch screen which were really lame comments, especially since I found those features to be perfectly fine. I'm anxious to see how this truck maintains over the next 100k.
I never hear of a ford truck shifting from 4L to 4H while in drive. Every truck i drove or owned you need to put it in neutral for that shift to happen.
I love the Tacoma. But my budget for my last vehicle put the Tacoma just out of my price range so I rolled the dice with a colorado. And I was shocked by how well it performed. I had 130k miles on her without an issue before I was T-boned by a boomer. 40k of those were off road in the everglades for work. And whe. The accident did happen, not a scratch on me.
@Schism Circle The ones that are honest say it doesn't fucking matter and if anything they dislike the huge shlongs as it just gets in the way of true love making lol
With all the improvements Ford has been doing across the line up since 2015, this Ranger is a real disappointment. It’s a carry over design from world markets, and it’s a shame Ford didn’t introduce a new generation for 2019. Maybe one on the horizon?
The reason why they went with the existing global ranger for the north american is because the next gen ranger is still in the works, it will debut in 2021. Here is a early sneak peak at the all new ranger... www.thetorquereport.com/ford/is-this-the-2021-ford-ranger/

Its actually a big concern for me. Living in a small city in the mountains, getting through small curvy roads and parking in garages down town, a mid sized truck makes the most sense for me.
What a great review and love the format it was done. Less stiff and spitting out of specs than others. Love the graphic overlays when driving the trucks. I think I would be leaning towards the Tacoma for my next truck.
i test drove a Colorado. nice truck. was blown away that it lacked driver side grab handle. i use the one in my Frontier all the time, getting in and out, just driving along and always on rough roads. i couldn't buy a truck without. even the ZR2 doesn't have it. Bison won't have it. madness.
I watched the review, I think all three trucks are a good pick. Softer suspensions are more suited to offroad trails, while the Z71 package is a compromise, Z71 is meant as an offroad package, but still caters to towing. Towing road manners would go to the Z71, while offroading would go to the Tacoma, and Ranger. The Z71 is still a capable off roader. The 373 rear gear would suit the Z71 for more torque, and it may be happier at a higher rpm considering the horsepower number, though mileage might suffer, but only might, it could also benefit. As for the Ranger, the engine is suited to lower RPM, so probably works well with the 3.42/43. The 3.72/73 option would work well with it if you wanted even more torque or planned on larger tires, but mileage would take a hit. A good option for the off roader. The Toyota is established as a capable off roader, the Tacoma would also be a good choice depending on what you want. In my opinion, all three trucks are good picks, and all have strengths and weaknesses.
You'd be surprised how much hard core off roading you can do in even just a bone stock, TWO wheel drive (non-TRD) Tacoma. Always could. Even back in the 80's. If your priority includes off roading in a stock truck, the ONLY choice for the past several decades was and is Toyota Tacoma.
That's right about the rear part....if anyone has a family usually it's the kids sitting there....but going off roading....it is just you...the truck....and some good ole terrain!
That moment when the Ridgeline accidentally beat all of them off road near Death Valley. That’s kinda disappointing, they just don’t build them like they used too. The Chevy Colorado looks really good, but the Toyota Tacoma is just better as a rugged truck especially with the optional 6 speed manual transmission.
lol it didnt "beat" them, the idiots took solid axels and monotubes on a washboard (literally a road, not offroading) for hours on end. Thats literally why they make remote resevoir shocks (ie what the trd pro has). Watch any offroad video of the ridgeline, you will see very quickly its trash on real offroading

This comparison test was excellent. It had plenty of info and tips, along with the trucks being tested off road and on the pavement. I've watched other reviews on different channels where the people reviewing the vehicles don't make their decisions on the vehicles in all ways it would be used in modern day lifestyle. Some are too keen in on performance instead of also looking into comfort, mpg, and space.
their creds as a good reviewers of pickups were immediately called into question when they said their "top rated mid-sized pickup" wasnt invited.
These people are jokes. Worried about USB ports in an offroad truck. Lmao!
Meanwhile the Tacoma with A-Trac and Crawl Mode will get itself out and be able to tow the Colorado out 😉

Lol!
Exactly! It makes the Colorado More usable in 4wd than the other two by far!
Colorado has transmission problems
Shane Schexnayder Yes. Like the Tacoma the Colorado has transmission problems with some folks. Toyota reprogrammed to fix theirs. GM was flushing fluid and sometimes changing tq converters to fix theirs. It was discovered that the fluid was collecting water from the air and holding it like brake fluid does. They just put out a new type of fluid to fix it. No more problems. Everyone who has the fluid has had the problem go away. Nobody I know of had the problem though. So it must be a conditional thing that allowed water to build in the fluid.
I hac 2018 colorado and wenyt though 2 converters before i traded it in. Gm is hiding this problem

I concur! It’s definitely the most rugged and durable of all options currently on the market.
Makes sense! I own a 17 Toyota Tacoma but would have looked at a Nissan if one were around.
I totally agree, it's a great truck for the price.

Coming from a GM guy, I would take the Tacoma for guaranteed reliability
Only Tacoma’s made before 2016. The 3rd gen engine transmissions are absolute garbage. I don’t know how there isn’t a class action lawsuit against Toyota by now. Trust me I made the mistake of buying one. The days of Tacoma reliability are over. Ford will be the number one contender in 2021.

How many USB ports?
Better stick with the flat roads then. 21:53
fishboat enjoy that garbage, shit won’t run after 100K 🤣🤣
Good choice we do testing with all trucks and the Ranger is the best!🇺🇸
I enjoy all 3 trucks, but I love my 2019 Ranger. I think there was a lot of bias in this review. The Ranger just feels more durable than the Colorado, and has plenty of power. Some of the critique was about USB ports and the touch screen which were really lame comments, especially since I found those features to be perfectly fine. I'm anxious to see how this truck maintains over the next 100k.
Please update at 100k & 200k
Don't know what he meant when they said it went into 4high on its own. I off road mines all the time and never had anything like that happen.
I never hear of a ford truck shifting from 4L to 4H while in drive. Every truck i drove or owned you need to put it in neutral for that shift to happen.
Never doubt fordgineering to make shit that works fine as goofy as possible
Excellent review guy's concise to the point not any double talk, BEST review of these mid size trucks. Keep up the GREAT work!! Cheers to you !
17:15 "I need another inch, inch and a half" I bet his wife thinks the same thing.
Lol, I know I was thinking about inserting that line in too. Lmao there was an awkward silence when he said that.
@Schism Circle The ones that are honest say it doesn't fucking matter and if anything they dislike the huge shlongs as it just gets in the way of true love making lol
FO.
Stay away from porn, it's rotting your mind.
The Colorado DOES have a locker. It’s an Eaton G80 mechanical locker. When rear wheel speed differs by 100rpm it automatically locks the rear wheels.
With all the improvements Ford has been doing across the line up since 2015, this Ranger is a real disappointment. It’s a carry over design from world markets, and it’s a shame Ford didn’t introduce a new generation for 2019. Maybe one on the horizon?
Bronco is coming
The reason why they went with the existing global ranger for the north american is because the next gen ranger is still in the works, it will debut in 2021. Here is a early sneak peak at the all new ranger... www.thetorquereport.com/ford/is-this-the-2021-ford-ranger/
PureCountryof91 lol
TheReal NateDogg the Global Ranger is due for an update in 2022. Just wait
Nope they took it away to jack the price
I have a 2019 Ford Ranger supercrew sport and I love it. I dont regret it.
I thought about getting one but the stop start feature killed it for me.
Just wait another 2 years. lol
The Ford Ranger will be awesome with the 2.7 engine.
Mario Avila ok?
Lucas Hack you can turn it off
The chevy has a rear mechanical locker BTW.
Only with the trailering package... The truck being reviewed didn't have that option...
@@svpracer98 z71 package is locking rear on all gm trucks. You can see the driver side rear wheel spining in this video while teetering on the passenger side rear wheel
I’m glad they’re all honest in their reviews, none are favoring a certain brand and seem to be giving their honest opinions on all these options
I never questioned why Honda wasn't included but I definitely wondered where the Nissan Frontier Pro4X was.
Probably too old of a platform and not as relevant anymore. Especially considering their concern over USB ports....lol
It was in the service bay at the dealership having warranty repairs done.
It’s gay... and Nissan is owned by Renault since 1999
So he can not handle a full size truck in the city. That is all I needed to hear.
A lot of people dont like having to parallel park those big bitches.
They use them to get through the tough terrains of the local hippy health food markets
Darth Bane Girls and micro men
It still does suck to drive that in the city
Its actually a big concern for me. Living in a small city in the mountains, getting through small curvy roads and parking in garages down town, a mid sized truck makes the most sense for me.
What a great review and love the format it was done. Less stiff and spitting out of specs than others. Love the graphic overlays when driving the trucks. I think I would be leaning towards the Tacoma for my next truck.
This is probably the worst review I have ever seen in my life.
@@marcharris2734 Thanks for the detailed and well thought out reply.
After all the sports were canceled I started watching stuff like this 😂
Tires make a HUGE difference. The Chevy is wearing GY Duratrac tires which are outstanding.
Thats because its the Z71 off road package
Last comment. This was a really good, well rounded and well produced test. It hit all the right spots.
i test drove a Colorado. nice truck. was blown away that it lacked driver side grab handle. i use the one in my Frontier all the time, getting in and out, just driving along and always on rough roads. i couldn't buy a truck without. even the ZR2 doesn't have it.
Apparently you didn’t even bother to watch the video lol. The ranger sucked off-road. And on road for that matter.
@@jeremyhuntington1 Apparently I’m sure he doesn’t give 2 shits how the Ranger did off road.
I wish ford would change that steering wheel design. Also 90% of people don’t car if the rear is comfortable.
That's right about the rear part....if anyone has a family usually it's the kids sitting there....but going off roading....it is just you...the truck....and some good ole terrain!
25:14 Oh my god she just went straight into that massive boulder, couldn't go around it? But the Tacoma just went over it and was like, meh
massive boulders. yeah, I spotted a couple
@@edjackson4389 🤗🤣🤣🤣
I mean, she said pretty clearly that she had no idea what she was doing.
@@edjackson4389: So did I 😏.
One other item: if you want a manual transmission, you only have one choice - the Tacoma.
Brian Austin You can get a manual in the Colorado but only on the base trim with the 4 cylinder engine. Very few buyers want a truck that bare bones.
Brian Austin Exactly. The Tacoma is the better truck in the long run anyways.
Frontiers also have manuals.
epikc334 Oh that’s right. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nissan drops that option when the all new Frontier comes out next year though.
That'll be a sad day indeed.
