mj didnt beat good teams in the finals: the 1991 Lakers were not even a little bit close to the 1980s Showtime Lakers. no Kareem arguably a top 5 player of all time, a huge presence in the low post, no Micheal Cooper who is considered by many the greatest defender in nba history, in their place there was Sam Perkins a 7 footer that played more behind the 3 point line than he did in the paint and he was a labeled as a soft defender in his career, he flopped and didnt play much defense. an intimidating front line, they were not. despite all this, Magic would have had a chance to beat the Bulls if James Worthy didnt suffer a high sprain ankle against the Blazers, Worthy no longer had quickness or lateral movement for the remainder of the playoffs, the injury affected him throughout the finals, Byron Scott also went down with an injury late in the finals against the Bulls and couldnt play in game 5, Worthy also missed game 5. so basically it was Bulls vs Magic and Magic put up a good fight than MJ would have put if the roles were reversed. 1992 : Blazers: they had one hall of famer: Clyde Drexler and umm... well yeah thats all they had, not much competition at all. blazers also had no inside presence to speak of, a recurring theme in mjs finals matchups, easy ring for mj. 1993:Pheonix Suns: Barkley is a great hofer but he only had KJ on his team, a decent player but no hofer, again no post defense on the suns. tallest player for them was Tom Chambers 6'10" one of the softest defenders of all time. this isnt even the best team barkley played on, the 1985 and 1986 sixers with Dr J, Malone, Cheeks, and Barkley would have wiped the floor with 1993 Bulls and Suns. 1990s teams sucked, the 1993 Suns may have won 62 games against the expansion league but they would struggle to a .500 record in the 80s. 1996 sonics they had hofer Gary Payton a great defender and good scorer, they also had Shawn Kemp a player that would show up fat and out of shape at summer camps. so the sonics had a good defender and a lazy underachiever. Sonics had no inside defensive presence. MJ is free to cake walk to the basket all series. Sonics won 64 games, but its easy to win that number of games in a chump expansion league, they wouldnt have hit .500 in 1986, can you say "no competition". 1997 Utah Jazz: many jockers point to the finals against the Jazz as evidence the Bulls would have beaten the 1980s teams. well in fact the Jazz did have 2 hall of famers: John Stockton and Karl Malone who are also 2 of the 50 greatest players in nba history. lets compare:we have Malone Stockton of the 1980s vs Malone Stockton of the 1990s, I'll call this one a draw. at the forward position jazz had thurl bailey a 6'11" powerful and quick forward. the 1990s Jazz had Bryon Russell who didnt even average double figures in ppg for his career. Bailey was a better scorer, better low post defender, better rebounder, averages more assists per game than Bryon Russell. Bailey wins hands down. at center the 1980s Jazz had Mark Eaton who is 7'4", the greatest shot blocker in the modern basketball era. Eaton once averaged 5.6 blocks per game in a single season still a record that stands. all time he averages 3.5 blocks per game wich is also a record that still stands today. the 1990s Jazz had Greg Ostertag, or maybe POSTERtag. the 1980s Jazz would have destroyed MJ and his Bulls. why ? because the 1980s Jazz wich mark Eaton in the lineup gave the 1980s Jordan fits. from 1985 to 1993 the Jazz with mark eaton were 9-7 against mjs Bulls. there would be no waltzing into the lane for MJ against Eaton and Bailey like he did to Ostertag and Bryon Russell. the 1987 Jazz took the LA Lakers to 7 games, you think the 1997 Jazz could do that ? the 1980s Jazz would have destroyed the 1990s Jazz. so we see again, a weak inside presence of the Utah Jazz wich gives MJ 2 more easy rings.
So glad you put my Mavs in second, over the last decade a specific annoying fanbase have been trying their best to downplay what Dirk (the lone star) and the Mavs did to LBJ and his superteam all to excuse how badly LBJ performed. Dirk was money in clutch situations the entire playoff run. Last 5 minutes score within 5 points 64 points 15-26 57.7% 3-5 60% I personally believe them beating the Heat is the biggest upset in finals history, it doesn’t get talk about enough by the pro LBJ media bc, well... go figure.
Facts lots of bronsexuals do like to downplay this championship and say that 2016 was greater even though the warriors suffered injuries and they were tired out as they played through the tough west and the cavs didn’t face really any hard competition in their road to the finals.

The Warriors really just beat them through sheer talent alone and lebron really played out of his mind but if the cavs had both Kevin and kyrie for sure they would’ve beat the warriors. I am just saying that 2016 is regarded as this amazing crazy upset, which it still is great but it really is overhyped, Andrew bogut who was their main rim protector got injured early game 5 and draymond got suspended. That’s two of their best defenders against lebron, arguably the best rim finisher of all time, and kyrie who also is an amazing finisher as well and with that the momentum totally changed even with draymond back in game 6 as the warriors totally panicked. I am not saying that the ring isn’t deserved, it’s that there are some reasons why they were able to have that upset.
@@mrzeke2409 it’s hilarious hearing them say that nowadays bc at the time LBJ fans were saying it was gonna be an easy win bc Mavs were older & didn’t have the talent Heat had. Then LBJ’s biggest chokejob in finals history happened & they flipped it to how the Mavs were a deep team with “all stars”, how Heat were in their 1st year, that it was Wade’s team not LBJ’s which is why they lost. It’s all excuses. They say all that to justify LBJ choking. Then they have the nerve to say the 2016 finals win is a bigger upset than 2011 Mavs win when both Cavs/GS had equal talent. GS dealt with injuries, both Klay/Curry struggled even when up 3-1, Kyrie averaged more pts than LBJ those first 4 games. Ends up averaging the most ppg in finals history (at the time) by a second option. Dirk never had that type of help, he was the lone star, was down 2-1 then won 3 straight. Guarantee if that was LBJ his fans would’ve said it was the greatest upset in finals history.
#1-3 are without a doubt the toughest and admirable. As their teams were underdogs, Olajuwon and Nowitzki dominated in the playoffs. Only if you watched all 3 seasons (94, 95, 2011) and playoffs can you truly appreciate it. I hope an underdog wins this year in 2021. Not the Nets or Lakers.
Here's hoping the Knicks rally themselves up but I don't expect them to make a deep playoff run without a veteran guiding them. Still, couldn't hurt to hope. I am rooting for all the underdog teams. Utterly disgusted by the Nets but hey, front office is winning I suppose.
He made a typo when he wrote the 97 jazz went 64-28. If that was right, that would have meant they would have played 92 games. It was actually a record of 64-18 adding up to a correct number of 82 games.

Much respect to you for putting the 2009 Lakers in there. I forget the video I was watching, but the way the video titled I thought it was going to be a pro Kobe Bryant video, but this guy not only was he a hater he actually was saying some really stupid stuff, he was saying things like Kobe Bryant is the most overrated player in NBA history, he said that Gasol should have won the finals MVP in 2010, don’t get me wrong. Gasol was great in that finals, but Kobe was the clear MVP there, but he was literally saying things like he didn’t beat any good teams to win any of his championships. And no I’m not saying that that Orlando Magic team was the equivalent to the 80s Boston Celtics or the 90s Chicago bulls or anything like that and no they didn’t have a top 10 player on the team but just like all the people that want to call LeBron James, the goat always say “it’s a team sport “ and that Orlando Magic team was a hell of a team. Yes they had an all-star in Dwight Howard, but there really wasn’t a weak link on that team. They had a three-year run where they were always right there in the mix in the east. This is the same team that eliminated LeBron James that year from the playoffs. And ironically, this guy one of the points he was making in the video was how much better LeBron James was than Kobe, but he didn’t want to bring up LeBron losing to Orlando. Not to mention statistically, most teams that make it to the NBA finals have a very low chance of making it back to the finals the next year and an even lower chance of winning the finals the next year. to see the 2009 Orlando Magic was a bad team really is BS
It’s close between the two. Although it was tougher for the Lakers to win the 2010 NBA finals than 2009, the road to making the 2009 Nba finals was even harder. The Nuggets in 2009 WCF gave me nightmares and even stoled game 2 vs Lakers hc and even almost won game 3 but the Lakers were able to pull it off thanks to Kobe going off for 41 points. I don't agree in the 93' bulls, they had 2 all nba members and 3 all defensive members, their competition weren't nothing crazy, they faced only one all nba player with no help in the first round, 2 all nba players in the second round but one underperforming (mark price), one all nba player in the conference finals and one all nba player in the finals too, i don't think this teams weren't bad but we all know the bulls had the better team in all series, the 01' lakers had a tougher competition by far playing against the dynasty spurs, that very good early 2000s blazers and kings teams, and in my opinion underrated 01' sixers with 2 all nba players, the fact shaq and kobe made those teams look terrible doesn't mean they weren't championship caliber teams, unlike Jordan and Pippen who faced only one in their conference (knicks).

mj didnt beat good teams in the finals: the 1991 Lakers were not even a little bit close to the 1980s Showtime Lakers. no Kareem arguably a top 5 player of all time, a huge presence in the low post, no Micheal Cooper who is considered by many the greatest defender in nba history, in their place there was Sam Perkins a 7 footer that played more behind the 3 point line than he did in the paint and he was a labeled as a soft defender in his career, he flopped and didnt play much defense. an intimidating front line, they were not. despite all this, Magic would have had a chance to beat the Bulls if James Worthy didnt suffer a high sprain ankle against the Blazers, Worthy no longer had quickness or lateral movement for the remainder of the playoffs, the injury affected him throughout the finals, Byron Scott also went down with an injury late in the
finals against the Bulls and couldnt play in game 5, Worthy also missed game 5. so basically it was Bulls vs Magic and Magic put up a good fight than MJ would have put if the roles were reversed.

@@Cheaps93 Yeah So?

The finals was on of the toughest for a team to ever win. But even I have to admit that the road to the finals was pretty weak especially compared to the west that year that had the spurs OKC and the warriors.
till this day i stll say hakeem top 7
Can’t put the 2002 lakers here considering the series against the kings was completely rigged
my Lakers almost lost to the Rockets in 2009. It was nerve racking lol
Those rockets teams were really good. Could have imagine if t mac conditioned property or yao not getting any injured. They had a deep team which is one of the reasons why they took Lakers to 7 games
Kobe top 5
Video idea: worst superstars ever
The Bulls probably faced more 60+ win teams than anyone. It sure more than makes up for the fact that they played some sorry teams in the first round. Lol
If you going to put the 72 and 10 Bulls on here why ain't you put the 2013 Miami Heat on the list or at least the 2016 Cavs
Then where’s the honorable mention list? Cause the ‘88 Lakers should be here!
i feel like 2004 pistons should be here or at least in honorable mentions;
I don't agree in the 93' bulls, they had 2 all nba members and 3 all defensive members, their competition weren't nothing crazy, they faced only one all nba player with no help in the first round, 2 all nba players in the second round but one underperforming (mark price), one all nba player in the conference finals and one all nba player in the finals too, i don't think this teams weren't bad but we all know the bulls had the better team in all series, the 01' lakers had a tougher competition by far playing against the dynasty spurs, that very good early 2000s blazers and kings teams, and in my opinion underrated 01' sixers with 2 all nba players, the fact shaq and kobe made those teams look terrible doesn't mean they weren't championship caliber teams, unlike Jordan and Pippen who faced only one in their conference (knicks).
good list
No 98 Bulls with washed Rodman injured Pippen and an old team in general
Where is lebron's chip with Cleveland when he beat the 70+ win gsw coming from a 3-1 deficit
The Mavs swept the defending champion Lakers.
95 Rockets !!!! 6th seed in the west !!!
I don't think the 02 Lakers belong because the refs in the Western conference finals admitted to fixing the series
2009 cavs had 66 wins the most for that season. not the lakers.
At 7:45 the Jazz is meant to be 64-18 right?
09 wasn't tough playoff run 010 is better imo
93 bulls ????? The knicks and the Suns Child please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruh why is it say championships but, it’s actually championship runs
2006 and the 2012 heats titles were way tuff than the 1997 bulls 1993 bulls 2009 lakers 2014 spurs and 2010 lakers
