As a Raps fan from day 1 the 2019 Championship run was incredible. Raptors took care of the Magic in 5 games in the first round. Then a tough series against Philly. Kawhi's game 7 shot against the Sixers was magical. Being down 2-0 to the Bucks in the ECF and then reeling off 4 wins in a row to win the series. Finally, against the Warriors in the Finals splitting the first 2 games in Toronto and then winning the next 3 out of 4 games. The 1 loss being in Toronto and the 3 wins being in Golden State, which resulted in winning the Championship in game 6. Great memories that'll last for the rest of my life.
This was really well done! Thank you for mentioning the insane amount of ridicule that the Raptors and Massai faced when they. traded Demar and fired Casey. Everyone, from the fans in Toronto to the media and fans in the US were crapping on the Raptors for a good 2-3 weeks. It all ended once Kawhi had his hilarious laugh and the training camp started 😂
I was pretty bummed seeing Demar go and not getting to the top with the Raptors, but can't argue with what it lead to. Looking back though and seeing the changes undergone since 19 it's wild as a fan to see how much has changed!
Awesome video I fulljoyed this just as the other documentaries on the 2019 Raptors nba championship win. As a born Toronto native it was 26 years of not seeing a professional sport team in Toronto win a major title since 1993 Blue Jays. I hope the Leafs learn from the Raptors one day and get back to finals and win since 1967
I remember once Kawhi got traded to Toronto. I was the only one in my school saying that they were gonna win it all. And they did. I'll never forget this team because of that lol.
raps won 50+ games the following season. What other championship can win that many games without their "superstar". If Kawhi had stayed, raps would be a dynasty by now.
The minute I heard about Kawhi coming to Toronto I immediately thought we had a chance at a championship and had to throw that thought away so fast so I didn't jynx it. And by the end of the season, we were 2019 champions. Love to see it
The Milwaukee series gets under appreciated. The sizers series was just a classic, and so much drama came of the finals between injuries and obviously winning the title that no one really remembers that not only was game 3 VERY close but there were multiple foul outs in a double OT game. Game 3 vs the bucks was probably the second most pivotal game in the entire run behind the game 7. Not to mention the birth of Fred Jr that lit a fire under FVV in game 5 I think it was erasing 2 seperate double digit leads. Oh and thag Kawhi dunk to cap off a massive run in game 6 at home? Such an underrated series
It was a incredible playoff run! They lost 1st gm to Orlando and came back...The gm 7 shot with Philly from Kawhi that made Embid cry...In the Conf. finals, the Bucks were up 2-0 in the series,Raps won gm 3 in dblOT and never looked back after that win!..Finally they took out GS IN 6....TORONTO RAPTORS 2019 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Followed Kawhi's Raptors season in the background. He looked like he was walking on water lol. Then that fated buzzer beater, it was just chefs kiss for all Kawhi fans.
If you think about it, looking back into their picks, they were really drafting really good players like Siakam, Powell, Anunoby leading to their championship. Even after the post championship era of Raptors, these players are making good impact to their new teams and makes you think what if Kawhi really never left.
they'd probably have 4-5 chips but probably wouldn't have enough money to keep them all Van Vleet is making like 43 mill a year OG got a 200+ mill contract for 4 years Pascal got a 200+ mill contract for 4 years or whatever Lowry got a 90 mill 3 year contract with Miami

Great memories that'll last for the rest of my life.
let's gooooo ! 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 western Canada here. we the north. so hyped on cansdian players and the game rising like crazy I'm Canada!!!!
Dylan has blessed us with his God-tier content again
this video is beautiful man, toronto is my team and watching them win the finals live was incredible
soo fucking proud of this team... literally get goosebumps thinking of that run.
what an era. I loved 2015-2019 raptors.
Was watching one of your videos earlier today, looking forward to diving into this one!
As a raptors fan, thank you very much Dylan
Drop a tear watching this damn. Now we got Scottie, IQ & RJ can’t wait to see what the future holds for us♥️🦖
Thank you so much for doing a video on my Raptors! You are the best at what you do!
T Ross was the reason I started getting into the Raptors and Basketball in general
18:21 The Raptors had a top 10 pick in Jakob Poeltl, same draft as Siakam….still a wonderful video and I always get hyped whenever you upload
and we had to trade him to get Kawhi
That was the best nba season I have ever watched
Nice some Raptors content! Dylan coming thru again with a solid analysis
19:49 gives me chills with the music the brotherhood they have is unbreakable fr
never forget the 2019 raptors :')
I hope the Leafs learn from the Raptors one day and get back to finals and win since 1967
Thank you! Doc Rivers the real HERO of Raptors run.
I want my Nuggets to win a championship just so Dylan can make a video like this about them. All of your videos are bangers
they shouldve won a chip
Tbh ,they might win it this year with the team they have and Jokic is playing good.
well..
@@justinterry7853 looks like they finally will
@@sakatagintoki2888 good call
still comeback every now and then to re-live one of the coolest things i ever got to experience
I remember once Kawhi got traded to Toronto. I was the only one in my school saying that they were gonna win it all. And they did. I'll never forget this team because of that lol.
The Best One Season Wonder NBA Team Ever😩🙌🔥
Well Kawhi fit well in that team
raps won 50+ games the following season. What other championship can win that many games without their "superstar". If Kawhi had stayed, raps would be a dynasty by now.
@@thegagz ok sure
@@thegagz I guess
2011 Mavs >
No one on NBA TH-cam has this level and mix of production and information other than like JxmyHighroller. Elite and always impressive.
Do you watch Cosgrove?
The minute I heard about Kawhi coming to Toronto I immediately thought we had a chance at a championship and had to throw that thought away so fast so I didn't jynx it. And by the end of the season, we were 2019 champions. Love to see it
Thanks for the effort in this video, man!
Glad you brought up the 2015 offseason, such an underrated part of Masai's resume
Amazing content as always
What a wonderfully choreographed video ! Well crafted ! Well told !
And that recap of past failures while the kawhi shit bounces was so suspenseful !!
holy shit man thank you so muchfor making a raps video. As a Raps fan this means a lot
Followed Kawhi's Raptors season in the background. He looked like he was walking on water lol. Then that fated buzzer beater, it was just chefs kiss for all Kawhi fans.
The impact the 2019 championship had on basketball culture in Canada can't be overstated - Kawhi's buzzer beater probably saved basketball in Canada
Kawhi’s performance was incredibly beautiful!
Man dylan really needs more attention these videos are so enjoyable and he is so underrated of the effort put into them and you can see it
Fr this is tv documentary worthy

Loved their entire journey as a team just so sad to see demar go
Needed this video before the season! Awesome job man thanks!
That Rudy trade to Sacramento was the start of the Raptors consecutive playoff runs from 2014-2020
If you think about it, looking back into their picks, they were really drafting really good players like Siakam, Powell, Anunoby leading to their championship. Even after the post championship era of Raptors, these players are making good impact to their new teams and makes you think what if Kawhi really never left.
they'd probably have 4-5 chips
but probably wouldn't have enough money to keep them all
Van Vleet is making like 43 mill a year
OG got a 200+ mill contract for 4 years
Pascal got a 200+ mill contract for 4 years or whatever
Lowry got a 90 mill 3 year contract with Miami
Great video, looking forward to the next one! ❤
Some of my best ever memories will forever be watching all the seasons talked about with my mother
Excellent breakdown!
This championship was the opening of the parity floodgates in the NBA. The sign of changing times. The whole NBA should be happy about that ring, imo (definitely not biased...)
Should be made into a movie. One of the greatest championship runs in history. They made the playoffs exciting.
I miss Kyle and Demar so much everyday man, but these daps are damn exciting too. Makes me happy man.
