    Great video, can use this product on headlights and glass ?

    You can use nano shock also so you are putting down sealant/ wax coat while you are doing this stage. Works great together.

      Nano Shock.... nice glossy shine with hydrophobic characteristics 👍🏻

    Great tips on storage!! Thank you!!

      Storage is a huge issue with the materials in the auto scrub.

    This stuff also smells awesome. I've so many other products that can be used as a clay lubes that I don't know when I'll buy Glide again though. I last used it with actual clay and thought it did great.

      I agree.. there are a lot of great clay and scrub pad lubricants out there👍🏻

      Like nano shock

      That is interesting, I didn't notice that glide even really has a smell which is still a really good thing in my book. I have noticed that the Auto Scrub synthetic clay material only works with the Glide. Using the auto scrub with anything else has not worked at all for me.

    I'm also not a huge fan of Autoscrub on paint for all the reasons mentioned in the video. I like it on glass, however.

      Iam also wondering what it does to paint when it starts to fail as it gets worn out🤔

    • @felixf5211
      @felixf5211 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's an excellent point. I imagine, intuitively speaking, that the clay substitute material would wear gradually, but ya never know. Perhaps someone reading the comments has experience with this.

      I cant remember where...but I read that when it does finally fail...it does so quickly and its not pretty!!

      FWIW, right now Amazon has Simoniz (Clay Magic) clay for ~$10/100g. IMHE, Clay Magic is the best clay around. A pretty good price.

    Have you ever used any other Clay lube , besides NanoSkin GLIDE that works well with the NanoSkin AutoScrub Clay Products?
    I find theat Meguiar's Last Touch Detail Spray D15501 , does not work well even if i dilute it, when used with the Red & Blue nanoskin clay sponge's/clay blocks.
    -I'm looking into 3D Spray Detailer (bodyshop safe 503) it looks like it works with 3D's nano towels which im guessing are made by Nanoskin.
    Nanoskin glide is hard to get where i live and i find expensive also

      Yes American Detailer Garage Wipeout works great as well.

      I have tried a bunch of stuff with AutoScrub and found that only the Glide works for me. Have not tried the Wipeout that Apex mentioned. I get the Glide for around $9 to $13 USD for 16oz and it goes a long way because it is a concentrate.

      @@daiskebrandan8327 I love ONR, use it all the time and it does work with the autoscrub but I have found the autoscrub can be finicky at times if used with anything other than the Glide.

    I am a fan of the speedy towel, I really don't like to use clay bar to often, cost effective, don't like to throw a way just for the fact a drop it, the speedy towel give me about 40 cars. What brand of clay you use?

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ardex. It is a local dealer. Good deals!!

    Great videos i watched your Nano Shock vids as well. How do you decide whether to use Glide or Nano Shock on paint? With or without AutoScub.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use Glide strictly for clay or autoscrub lube. And nanoShock for its sealant properties.

    • @wopachop395

      If i use Glide with clay, does it need to be thoroughly stripped off before applying a ceramic coating? I found your HydroSilex vid last night.

      Apex Detail so your just misting the Nano shock on and buffing off with a microfiber towel? Thx Brian.

    I know this video is old and I don't know if you receive these questions and I could have missed it but they make a medium and a fine grade pad do you prefer one over the other?

    • @BB_Detailing_00
      @BB_Detailing_00 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I reach for fine when contamination is less. Example is a well maintained vehicle that i would clay maybe every 4-6 months. Medium on cars that aren't detailed as often

    All the lubricants are overpriced. ONR is the best clay lube and gets diluted 256:1 (1/2 capful for 32 oz. water) so u get like 5 gallons for $20
