    I have an exactly the same Nanoskin Wash Mitt.
    I usually used this along with Meguiars Gold Clash car wash soap. I washed one pound and using the Clay side of wash mitt with the Meguiars soap to clay. It worked best and quite fast too. ^_^

    I did hear a difference. I was thinking on using clay but after seeing this I may go to a mitt like that. Good review. Also Detail image rocks, I buy from them and they are great.

    Do you have any issues with marring when going over edges?

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I haven't had any marring.....except.... when using it on a car with hot to touch paint. I would recommend no direct sun usage at all.

    Thank you for the video. I have spent over an hour and half just claying half my car with the sponge version of this product (fine grade) and it's been quite frustrating because no matter how long I scrub, when I use the bag test, I still feed roughness. Not as much as before, but it's still rough. The car was last clayed by a professional detailer about 1-2 years ago. Debating whether to go ahead and polish, or keep claying?

      Honestly, After using the mitt, I could not feel any contaminants on the clear coat. What year is your Car and in what kind of condition is the paint? Did you clean the paint with the Mitt and then wash the car afterward? Can you please tell me step by step what you did so i can help you? If your paint is in bad shape to begin with, you will need to go with the medium grade mitt to clean the paint. And since it is more aggressive, you will definitely need to compound/polish the paint afterward (It will cause some marring).

    How and where do I store it? You know how clay can get.

      you can put it back in the original packaging .. it doesn't dry out like clay, nor does it need to stay in a moist place.

    Just bought the glide product with the nanoskin autoscrub and the optimum gloss coat. My question is before applying the gloss coat is it ok to just dry the surface after using the glide solution? Or do we need to rinse with water, dry the surface and then apply the coat?

    And how long can 1 AutoScrub Wash Mitt last? like how many times can you use it to clay your car? And if you want to reuse it, how do you clean the Mitt?

    i suggest you not wring it by squeezing. thatll damage the agent used to bond the rubbery part to the soft mitt. too many and itll come apart and/damage it. try to use a very fine brush and just brush off while dipped into the bucket of water. this will make the mitt lasts much longer

      Thank you, I wish I had been told this a long time ago. Im buying a new one this spring. The original still works fine, but I noticed that when I rang it out it created some small cracks/creases that particles could get trapped in.

    I have a 97 Mustang metallic red which had clear protective film put on the front 3 inches of the hood.By the time I bought the car the film had cracked. I removed it carefully with a heat gun. Once it was removed the re was at least a two to three shade difference between the protected area and the rest of the hood. I have been told the only way to correct this was to wet sand the hood and then put on a finish restoring product of some kind. I am fearful of doing this. Would the medium grit mitt be the way to correct this and what other liquids would I use?

    do you rinse off the autoscrub mitt when u work on another section of the car?? (example: scrub engine hood and move on to the driver side door)

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jeffrey r Yes, I do. I use one bucket with only water and a grit guard in the bottom, just in case i drop the mitt in the bucket.

      Steven Morales thanks! 1 more question. do you wash your car again after you clay'd the panels?

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, To get the residue off from the Nano Glide. I then use the Nano Glide again as a Quick detailer after wax/polish. It is pretty good stuff

    • @StacksSats
      @StacksSats 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steven Morales i didnt buy the Nano Glide. it's $80 for the Gallon jug where i live (canada). im going to be using Meguiar's M34 Final Inspection and Presta Show N Shine detailer

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They recommend the nanotechnology glide because some quick detailers ruin the substance on the mitt. I haven't had problems with anything except for the surface of the car being too hot. Don't do this in the sun or warm to hot surfaces.

    I see you tried it on your wife's car first, good move! Just kidding. I have a new car just picked it up last week, did the plastic bag test and I did feel roughness. The car is dark brown, I'm just a little nervous about using this on newer paint, did you notice any marring at all, doesn't look like it from your video, but you did not go real close. I am contemplating on buying the pro started kit (AS-021) which includes the 6 inch fine grade pad for my Porter-Cable 7424. Maybe the wash mitt would be better, any thoughts?

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No marring, but maybe some very fine scratches that could be taken out with a white/red pad and some polish. Nothing scary. I never had this problem with clay. I look at it this way... if im going to "cut" & polish/protect I'm using this because it cuts time. If there isn't any serious paint cleaning needed, I will use a light clay and light cut & polish/protect. It all depends on the paint before and after.

      Why did you choose the Fine Grade over say the Medium Grade?
      Tried the Medium Grade yet?

    It will never and can't replace Clay, both have their place. Clay have its advantages and disadvantages, so does this product.. Which I own that version and the pads.

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will agree with you on that. It is faster, but I do not believe as thorough as clay is when it comes to cleaning paint.

    • @mliving8686
      @mliving8686 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steven Morales no I think it n works as great if not better than typical clay.. clay you can shape it to get it into hard to reach places, like under door handles and such.

      Hello
      Have you ever had any issue with Marring since using the NanoSkin Autoscrub Clay Mitt?

    • @lightningsmokerXx
      @lightningsmokerXx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lady i talked to from Nanoskin said for darker color cars Fine Grade is what you want because the medium could potentially cause marring...is that why you went with the fine grade over the medium grade?

    • @SuaSponteSteve
      @SuaSponteSteve  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +lightningsmokerXx u went with the fine grade because I wasn't sure of the products capabilities. I was worried about marring the paint.

    • @lightningsmokerXx
      @lightningsmokerXx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steven Morales Do you think you would bother to go to the medium once this wears out.....or would you stick with the fine.

    • @lightningsmokerXx

      Steven Morales , have you ever used anything as a clay lubricant (brand) with the NanoSkin Clay Mitt? Such as Mothers , Meguiars Instant/ Quil Detailer as a clay lube? If so how'd it work?
