hi there, polish reloaded7 creator, now renamed to relive7. the website was actually created by my friend (who is polish so that's why there are some spelling mistakes). just wanted to say that. (also, the website is not official, and the newest version of reloaded7 is 12. the website was just not updated). also, the iso is based on 21h2 ltsc
There are 3 development cycles, carried out by unofficial developers, who still maintain a good and high quality. We are currently at version 12.6, featuring a lot of bug fixes and improvements.
@@terra1149 yeah it's too scuffed to be dealt with, open she'll can edit the taskbar to look just like that as long as you don't want win7 settings, widgets etc. Also Explorer can also be patched but I'm not sure about aero for Window borders
Seems all good but i noticed you can install Process Hacker except it is outdated, now replaced by System Informer. I hope we'll have one version for w11 in a near future.
Yeah, I would assume it's safe, in the start menu, it seems very stripped down (obviously they may not have been able to retrieve every legacy windows 7 applications, although you can find these yourself on the internet archive such as "Windows Live Essentials" + the removal of all windows 10 applications) and as it's based off of Windows 10, I assume this will give you the latest version of Google Chrome & other apps. Standard Windows 7 will support up to Office 2016, regardless of the fact you can get Office 2010 within that pre-installed marketplace. However, as it's based off of Windows 10, you may be able to get Office 2019 or 2021. With the updates situation, I'm not so sure. In this showcase, he attempted to activate WinUpdate, however did not work for him yet it did say "You may want to restart your computer" (to save those changes) and whether it actually works or not, I cannot verify. I assume you would receive Windows 10 updates but if it says there's no updates available, you could try downloading Windows 7 ones from Microsoft Update Catalog. But of course, if something does go wrong within the installation for you, I would of course not be responsible 😂
I can most definitely go ahead & install Reloaded7 myself in a VM however, I think it would be cool to try and run "modern" apps on here, as a video? Like chrome, will it give you the latest chrome or will it identify this as an official Windows 7 computer and cap you at version 109 saying to upgrade to Windows 10 to get security updates for chrome. Will Spotify say that the operating system is out of date or not therefore giving you the latest Spotify desktop app, as seen in the web player?
i mean this is nice but it would be unusable right? because 1903 is over 5 years old and what about people who use creative apps like adobe cc , they usually are not compatible with versions older than two years right
@@Cristiano_Tech_123 Settings is really useful even considering the port of all CPLs. It hosts many modern functionality- same thing for Snip and Sketch, it's fairly so much more developed than Snipping Tool while still having a simple UWP interface
I really want to use this on my main PC, I have the unpacked ISO file + the Setup.exe file stored inside the unpacked iso file, is this just a test suitable for VMs or is it a project for all to use? Thank you!
You shouldn’t have unpacked the ISO file, ISO file are not like ZIP archives. Instead they must be burnt to removable media like a USB flash drive. Then you must restart your computer and boot from the flash drive and install the new OS. This will erase your computer’s disk.
@@samuelhulme8347 I have unpacked it and ran the setup.exe file, and all went well! Also, I don't mind erasing my disk, I don't have anything important on there lol
@@samuelhulme8347 ISO files literally get unpacked when you flash them to a pendrive, just with even more extra steps like filesystem partitioning and optionally persistent. Burning it to a USB flash literally won't do anything (because that means basically just copying data to another device I think? Which in that case is the singular .ISO itself which won't be recognised by the EFI unless you use Ventoy). And installing an OS doesn't always erase your disk- it depends on the user's layouting.
@@enkephalin. Burning the ISOs normally copy the binary data one to one to the destination. The partitions are stored in the ISO themselves. Unpacking normally means taking all the files out of ISO and placing them somewhere on an existing file system. @@enkephalin. Ventoy makes ISOs on an existing file system bootable. If you burn an ISO one to one, the ISO already contains bootable partitions. Burning it would also copy the bootable partitions to the destination which ISOs that are intended for booting have.
