    I’ve been driving a 2015 Legacy 3.6R for 80k miles with no issues whatsoever. Only routine oil changes, a set of tires, and 1 brake job. By far the best car I’ve owned. Love the interior of the new one, although I’d go with an Outback next time around. I wish Subaru was a bit more daring with the exterior design, but for the money, it’s one of the best out there. For those saying this is not worth $36,000, look at what $36,000 buys you in a mid-sized sedan. A loaded Fusion that has been discontinued and will have horrible resale value, a loaded (maybe) Honda Accord with no AWD, no premium audio, and lots of road noise, a Sonata...again with much lower resale value and no AWD, a Nissan Altima with its horrible powertrain and low resale value, a Camry which will be more $$$, or a Passat with spotty reliably and low resale. The Mazda probably is closest but will cost you more loaded and again no AWD.

    • @HelloAgent47
      @HelloAgent47 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What’s up? You bring up great points. I got the ‘18 2.0 Accord and I can vouch for the road noise. HOWEVER, I recently got a new set of tires and I can say that the road noise has decreased tremendously. I believe it is the factory Goodyear tires it comes with. I never was a Goodyear’s fan anyway. I went for the Uniroyal tires for this new set and I am liking it so far.

    Took delivery of a Touring XT in blue last night. I love the interior and the exterior (which I thought was a little plain) is growing on me. Test drove a Kia K5 and while it was nice it can't compare to the Legacy and the resale value will be less. Yes, the seating is very comfortable. The driver's seat has a pull-out extender for the thigh support and I've never felt more comfortable seats in a car (I'm pretty tall and need that thigh support).

    Had a 2017 legacy and recently swapped it for a 2020. Legacy’s are def for the driver forced on a comfort-safety ride IMO and after driving the 2020 for the last 2 months I’ve only found 2.5 cons (I’m a Virgo so that’s excellent).
    -Auto stop has to be manually shut off every time the car is turned On. (Subaru has heard the complaints and added a shortcut button on the main screen).
    -12v outlet in the truck has been removed
    -overhead lighting was slightly better in my previous model
    -face recognition times out a few seconds after opening the door and when I have sunglasses it has warned me to keep my eyes on the road when they are (rarely).

    i bought one of these this summer. Though im in canada and the touring XT is called the premier GT. i'm surprised this has no wireless charger. My car does. though i also work at the dealership and i know that wireless charger comes in the trunk when the car is delivered to the dealer and it's installed at a dealership level as part of the pre delivery inspection. maybe the dealer hadn't installed it? or do the US models perhaps not come with the charger. interesting. Also a fun fact. That CD player only comes as standard equipment on the touring XT/premier GT it's not on any other trim level but is available off the accessory list

    I test drove an XT model as well. I'd say it's a bit fun to drive, very nice interior and the exterior is better looking in person, particularly in darker colors. I wish the exterior was a bit more aggressive looking and the CVT isn't bad but not great. The K5 GT would seriously eat up legacy sales if Kia was going to offer AWD. However, only the lower K5 models with the 1.6t do offer AWD and Subaru's symmetrical AWD is one of the best in any segment. I'd personally take a legacy over a Camry, but the Accord, Mazda 6 and K5 would be my personal picks in the class if I was in the market for a mid sized family sedan.

    • @chooseymomschoose
      @chooseymomschoose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AWD was the one reason I chose the Legacy XT over the Mazda6. Couldn't abide the one-whieel peel at T-junctions. They could have fixed that problem with an LSD, but Mazda is apparently redesigning the 6 with an inline 6 and RWD. Might check them out at trade in time...

      It is fantastic, I am been driving many cars but none is as enjoyable and comfortable as this one and it is not “slow” due to the cvt cause it still has a top speed of 150 mph which is way more (10-20 mph more) than Camry, Accord and all the others in this segment. I only spend $60 a month in gas

    • @adriano8809
      @adriano8809 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also this engine, the 2.4 turbo is the best engine that Subaru has ever developed and they will put it on the new WRX-STI but with even more power

    • @adriano8809
      @adriano8809 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also Nappa leather is for few Luxury brands today, the so overvalued Lexus for example uses fake leather and after 4 years you get ugly “luxury” peeled seats good for the trush but on Subaru you get Nappa leather which it means goat leather (the most durable but yet the most soft touch and luxurious leather available).

    • @adriano8809
      @adriano8809 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I smoked so many people on Honda, Kia, Mercedes and all of them remain speechless and ask me: “but the you tubers said that the legacy is slow! How is that even possible!?” lol. Today people buy cars on the 0-60 factors or on the name factor but there are so many other factors that make good cars on with this Legacy you can only hit the jackpot for the money; I’ve got my fully loaded touring XT for 35,500 bucks plus $3500 taxes: $39,000 and there is no Mercedes, no Lexus, no bmw, no Audi no Alfa Romeo better than this Subaru at that price; they offer similar optionals but they all lack in something like space, leather quality, speed, mpg, safety, back seats accessories compared to this Legacy, It really is a hidden treasure that only car lovers can discover and appreciate
