To program your HomeLink system to your Genie garage door opener, there is no need to put the Genie remote to program mode (red and green light). Also make sure to press the homelink button 3 times (2 seconds each), to program it.

Thank you for showing how to do this in real time. I was having trouble getting the remote to pair with the Honda even with following directions. Apparently I wasn't waiting long enough when pressing both buttons, which I didn't realize until watching your video. Very helpful!
