Great work! What type of grease you used?

thank you for taking the time for your video. i will use it to clean a carl zeiss jena 50mm 3.5 T lens. I have all the tools and have worked on my takumar lenses, but this is the first time dis-assembling the three russian lenses I just purchased. carl zeiss jena 50mm 3.5 T M-42 14 blade, Helios-44 2/58 M42 and INDUSTAR-50 3,5/50 Lens for M42. They are all aluminum exterior's and I'd like to know how to best clean the aluminum outside elements as well as lubricate the helloid and clean lenses. I'm good on cleaning internal lenses, but if I can learn from others prior to getting into it myself, it would ease my mind. Any helpful links or suggestions would be so cool. thanks in advance.

I do not know. My lens had a clean aluminum body. Maybe toothpaste would help. :-)

Your Carl Zeiss Jena isn't a ruzzian lens - it's from the German Democratic Republic.

I bought a Zebra Tessar today, but I really need to lubricate it. Is the Zebra the same as this silver one?

I have no experience with this lens. If you're a little skillful can't it be hard.
