The fact that the title does not mention piss and yet it's 60% of the entire episode's content is just taking the piss.

I was always confused by people complaining about the not talking about politics but because I like it
But I just dragged myself through a 30 min intro just to be called a simp. Fuming
I like the duality of thinking “I’m here for news, you know, mature broadsheet current events” and then listening to pisscast.
I can imagine for 5 minutes that I’m cultured.
I was always most confused by people passive-agressively asking for timestamps to be put on to denote where 'the real politics discussion' started. It just seemed so ridiculous to imagine someone reaching for the chapter marks every time they deemed the conversation to have become 'not serious enough'...

@trevfindley5704 honest answer? their banter is more tailored around their own friend groups (like mates talking), you don't really care so, and so done this, etc and I just don't care, that's the vibe I get. Some days I just want politics which is the main reason for this podcast. Thankfully there is the News Agents which is much more mature (I guess?) and doesn't constantly descend into sex jokes for 20 mins or going off on tangents for another 10 mins. They all seem like a good laugh to be around but it is the length for me
@@CurtalA yeah I think that's all fine (although personally I do find some of the guests they have on the news agents to be dire 😅) . As you say, there are a plethora of alternative podcasts available. This one has it's own niche, a fairly enthusiastic following for its offering, and others are more serious. All of that is fairly easily understandable to me. What i find baffling, is some peoples' grim determination to extract their pound of political analysis from this pod at seemingly any cost, by asking for timestamps, telling them they're not funny, threatening to unsubscribe, or I've even seen comments on here seriously telling them that they are not 'doing their job' because they're not serious enough. That kind of behaviour just seems unhinged to me...
I’d pay good money to watch Ed do a one man show as Mingey.

Ed Campbell is a wonderful journalist, sparkling wit and someone who is an excellent role model for my children.

A suitcase full of piss would weigh 100kg so it would have to go through excess baggage but most only allow you to go up to 32kg.

Sunak will stop all boats, he has already made great strides on this by the amount of fishing boats that are no longer setting sail. Also if you look at the tremendous work they have done with trains, surely they would have no bother stopping the ferry’s.
Re Ed's bj misunderstanding, I am reminded of a meeting I had in Manchester regarding the launch of a new SKAT media channel a decade or so ago. At the time I was 50ish years old and was the only person in the room who knew the alternative fetish meaning of the word. With age comes wisdom....

This episode came into my TH-cam feed. It was 25mins in that I realised this was not the post election podcast episode I had thought I was listening to.
Ed, since you're reading this here is my favourite piece of political trivia: John Tyler was the president of America from 1841-1845 (16 years before Abraham Lincoln came to office). One of his grandchildren is still alive today.
Ed's love of Gilbert & Sullivan makes so much sense with that absolute performance at the end.

Not my first time and never my last, I love pisscast. If the politicians aren't going to take politics seriously I'd rather just laugh and listen to people talking about piss then the insulting politics of our time. Also if your reading my comment Ed lots of love to all the PJ crew never listen to the haters just keep doing what makes the channel great. Apparently this episode its piss for 20 mins XD
