I did hear Sokolov at the Wigmore Hall in London program this with Bach’s 6th Partita in E minor, Beethoven Sonata in B flat op 22 and Op 111. It was quite a concert. Thank you for uploading the Brahms arrangement for left hand, which is played with wonderful control and varied touch.
Cannot compare. Brahms version is a transposition of the original an octave lower.Nothing more.Busoni version is a completely different story. That's a glorious transcendental manifestation of the genius Busoni is.Perfectly played by Michelangeli.🙏🙏

Grande Sokolov Una interpretazione che fa accelerare il cuore e la mente . Grazie
Thank you so much for the wonderful recording. Music by Grigory Sokolov is always the best gift!
Thank you! Magnificent playing, magnificent live performance by Grigory Sokolov. Brahms version is even better than Busoni's, in my opinion.

Is it really Sokolov?
From technical and especially musical point of view I have serious doubts...
Like 9:42? Yeesh. Yeah I have doubts too.
I've listened to about half of it and have more than serious doubts too!! In fact I'm pretty sure it's not Sokolov
Coudn't find a picture of Sokolov with only one hand on the piano? ;^)
Much better than Busoni’s transcription. Not muddy
Muddy?Depends who plays it.
It takes courage to use so little pedal.
В исполнении Чаконы Баха-Брамса Соколовым есть ошибки у исполнителя. Для такого уровня записи это недопустимо !
You must surely be infallible!
Thank You !@@pascalgrinberg5530
Enregistrement scandaleusement pourri, probablement piraté
