    My relatives participated in two great wars , My Grand grand father fought in the battle of Haifa in ww1 against the Turks and German. This war led to the the subsequent fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1922. The fall of the Ottoman Empire gave birth to several sovereign states like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Israel. In ww2 , My grandfather fought in the Battle of Hong Kong later on captured as POW by the Japanese. My Grand Uncle fought in East Africa , Syria, the Western Desert, North Africa ,Tunisia, Italy and Greece against the Germans and Italians. My grandfather and grand uncle played a huge part in my life. My grandfather passed away at 104 and my grand uncle passed at 96. Last memory of my grandfather I have is watching Independence Day on TV with him.

    So Lafayette Greene "War Daddy" Poole was an actual soldier and the best tanker America had maybe ever. In they 81 days in theater they had confirmed 12 tanks 258 armored vehicles killed and over 1000 German soldiers killed and about 250 capture as PoWs. Legendary tank commander that only died when tanks combat came to the end and her heard his men got home safe.

    The scene where the german spotted him under the tank but didn't tell anyone did happen in the war (but usually looked different). Like this time a heavily damaged British bomber was being chased by a german fighter plane, and while the bomber is unable to maneuver and clearly is a sitting duck for the german plane, the german decides to spare the bomber and even help direct them back towards Britain. These events aren't to show that some people are new to war, they're showing the humanity and goodness of people despite the horrible conflict.

    The whole way the ground war was conducted encouraged continued attack on a shoestring if necessary once you had the enemy on retreat. "The Bridge at Remagen" is a great flick on their rush for the last bridge across the Rhine, that really illustrates how the Army was "on the chase" after the Wehrmacht for a while before their last stand in Germany.
    Add to it that Hitler was trying to build nukes, some were worried the Russians would beat us to Berlin, and everybody wanted to go home for Christmas, marry their honey and eat something besides SPAM ;)

    • @Ender-bg2hx
      @Ender-bg2hx 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Sherman was also adaptable and had higher crew survival and if you could drive a car you could drive it and yeah WW2 was a industrial war and the Americans knew to make a tank that was easier to repair with spare parts given they would be in Europe and also cause the US had most of the factories turned for war material. The Russians did the same but it was more cutting down to the basic things with the T-34 which made it that they would be able to hold off Germany in a war of attrition (also with help from Lend lease). As for the Germans, yeah they over engineered stuff and didn’t streamline production, also the oil and man power issue.

    Hacksaw Ridge and Saving Private Ryan are definitely exaggerated as well as a Hollywood movie type of way. Yes they might be a bit more grounded than Fury, but they're definitely not as realistic as the real stories happened. Also, in war, there's no place to run or evacuate, so it's understandable for people to stay in their own homes and just accept it. Why the guy in the middle with the white shirt on is SO disrespectful laughing at the gunfire and action like it was a video game! You should be ashamed of yourself!

      That's a mistake. No matter how great reactions can be, certain movies deserves full immersion and focus. Fury is one of those movies.

    ……..Ok so, (slight disclaimer here) I want to make it clear…well I mean I think “I want to” isn’t a wholly accurate portrayal of how I feel but wtf-ever….as I can’t honestly sit here and say that putting some halfhearted cringe inducing “disclaimer” is what I “want” to do but it’s more like something along the lines of I “have” to really…🤦‍♀️
    As otherwise there will always be those douches who see anything someone says that they perceive as a slight / criticism / negative &/or just has an opinion that doesn’t align with their own, even when the comment is not intended to be any of those things…
    Which happens often to people (myself included) who leave a comment that are unfairly swamped by people who I am almost positive are either stupid or illiterate oss! 🤷‍♀️😅cause if.it’s not either of those excuses than I’m convinced that there’s absolutely no way that they legitimately read some parts…let alone the entire comment ffs!? The idiocy on display in a lot of comment sections I’ve read through….It’s truly astonishing sometimes my dudes!😬😤😮‍💨🤷‍♀️
    But anyways, sorry (not sorry) for that little rant but holy hell I hate that I feel like it’s necessary to….so yea, I have been subbed to a few of their channels for years and this one in particular it’s been since there was only like 6 or so videos uploaded ffs! 😉👍😅 so please don’t be “those douches” whom I spoke of at length throughout this comment🤦‍♀️🤞
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So here goes it 😅😉
    I am not even entirely sure of all the reasons why but just knew that my guy all the way to the left there….he’s freaking killing me y’all 😒
    I’ve thought about commenting about it for the longest time but I’m all for 2nd chances / people can change &/or they are just misunderstood &/or one of my absolute favorites “they will grow on you / you’ll like them once you get to know them…which is mostly BS that we’ve all said to / about someone your introducing to another and at least one of them who you know is annoying &/or kinda awful sometimes 🤣
    But yea, it’s gonna be a freaking NOPE my dudes! 😮‍💨👎 As all that optimism is shit…after all these videos, I’m truly struggling to remember a single video that he’s in where I think his being within it was legitimately beneficial or even impacted by his presence really. I mean don’t get it twisted tho…it’s not just that his opinions are always different that most oss like that like AT ALL! I’m down for opinions that differ as I’m genuinely curious to hear people out
    But when done in a logical non obnoxious way I mean😉👍
    Unfortunately he often comes across like a pouty tween to me 😅 you know, disagreeing for the sole purpose of disagreeing, at times almost seemingly overly rude or critical over thing that he very clearly has zero knowledge about but argues or defends even after proven wrong, never apologizes or admits mistakes make type shit? I mean like seriously tho…there are a few times over the dozens of you guys reactions I’ve seen where I started to feel as if it is all some skit or caricature like that? if so it’s a damn good one cause as irritating as It occasionally is, there are still a few moments where he’s legitimately funny and obviously y’all are all friends and so I must assume that outside of reactions he’s a alright perhaps somewhat douchey dude I guess 🤷‍♀️😬😅
      HOLY SHIT I’m Sorry (not sorry) ish for that ridiculously long rambling comment that I typed over the course of an hour but kept getting distracted 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😅 oh well, too late I’m definitely not gonna redo that so hopefully it’s at least somewhat comprehendible 🤞😂
