Love the Lexus LX 470 Mike. This is equal to the Toyota Land cruiser. They are over built and will last a long time. Bullet proof engine as well 😎😎👍👍The older one for me
Mike, please bid and bag the Lexus LX470. It's a perfect project for a car that deserves to live again. The CL500 is done for, There's no hope on that.
Mike the Lexus for sure ... You did so many cars now u need another Lexus and a SUV PLUS now youll have a tow vehicle to bring the Saab to @autoauctionrebuilds
Great vid, Mike! That LX470 is definitely one to save; there is a lot of life left in it. As far as the CL500 and GX460 go, they are just parts cars at this point.
Michael, you and Randy need to do a road trip and go. Look at cars in other states. I love it when you guys do that. Every time you guys do a video together, it's awesome.Love your show you're the best😊
Absolutely Mike and we love you You are a great person I can tell and we love your attitude and you got a beautiful smile so there's nothing to lie about keep doing what you doing salute
Mike! I gotta tell ya. The epic vin deal is $1 for a 3 day trial that includes 5 reports.. Just thought I'd mention it because you are saying it is unlimited reports for 1 week. Thanks for your videos, I love both yours and Randy's!
Mike needs to do a Live again for us new subscribers!!! It would be fun to hear about how Mike started wrenching on cars, why Mercedes are buried deep into your heart or how an Anchor man managed to presentable for TV while having his fingernails all greasy just hours before a broadcast! (seriously would love to hear all those stories, perhaps do a video about it!)😊
This was another great video I enjoyed this alot and loved it and I would prefer the newer Lexus I love the color of it too and it's practically a brand new suv I would totally buy it if I could. Anyways thanks for sharing keep up the great work much love to ya mike have a good one twke care god bless and I will see ya on the next one brother catch ya later
I think the curtains in the back of the CL500 and the clothes hanging rail are probably signs that someone was living in it and it ended up impounded off the street. Don't walk away from that one, Mike, run as fast as your legs will carry you. The Lexus is a fantastic vehicle, but it is really just a Toyota Landcruiser wearing some fancy jewellery. If you want ultimate durability just buy a Landcruiser. IF you can find one. The red 2020 Lexus is what we, in the UK, would call a ringer. It's had its' identity changed to make it appear to be a genuine vehicle so that it can be sold on as that genuine vehicle. The problem is that its' real identity could be unknown or uncertain which could make the vehicle impossible to register for road use in the USA making it only good as a parts car or for export to somewhere with "flexible" rules. In all likelihood it was hired, leased or purchased on HP then vanished. The reason for the messing with the electrical systems, and probably electronics too, is that the people who had the car were trying to locate and disable any tracking device the vehicle may have been fitted with. This often causes huge damage to the electrics and electronics which could cost an horrific amount of money to sort out. This vehicle is plenty new enough to have CANBUS systems where multiple circuits use the same physical circuitry so damaging or disabling one circuit can impact the function of another 200 circuits, like not being able to get any volume of sound out of the radio. Because it's a fairly recent vehicle you'll be paying a lot more for recycled parts for it, fighting to get the parts and, quite possibly, being forced to go to the Lexus main stealer for new items. Ouch. If you really want another Lexus then go for the old LX as it shares an awful lot of parts with its' lowlier Toyota brethren which will likely save you far more money than its' supertanker-like dipsomaniac thirst will cost.
500's did come with privacy curtains as an option. Never seen them myself but going through the books for a neighbours E500 it showed them. I agree with you, why would you buy a Lexus, go straight for the Landcruiser. Mike would be crazy going for that V8 petrol. No-one wants them which is why it's at the auction unlike the V8 Diesel.
Yes the 500 came with privacy curtains as an option. Very rare to find a car with them unlike leaking engines which are way more common. I think the Landcruiser is better than the Lexus models. Virtually the same car expect parts are a fraction of the cost and they are better looking. My favourite is the 100 series.
As far as the Lexus is concerned, the older LX470 is definitely the way to go; those 2UZ-FE engines are basically the most reliable ever from Toyota and parts are probably easy to find considering they used this on the first Gen Sequoias, Tundras and even the 4th Gen 4runner V8s!!
…and, those newer Lexus V8s have issues with head-gaskets if the coolant is not changed regularly, as they eat the gasket bit by bit once they start to decay.
I wouldn't touch a 2UZ. The fuel economy must be crap. Had a 1FZ-FE I6 in a 99 Landcruiser and you can watch the fuel gauge go to empty at idle. Mikey should look out for the 1VD-FTV as it's a way better engine and you get a 6 speed instead of 5.
@@2DogsVlogs these aren’t better or worse than another V8 on an SUV but you get bulletproof proven reliability. A diesel engine might be better in terms of MPGs but thats it…not to mention diesel high costs of repairs. Mikey is frugal u know….lol
@@orlandosantiago6398 Yep. Not dissing V8 petrol's just the economy. Servicing is cheaper than petrol but yes when they break they can break the bank. Just personally, I'd prefer the diesel (till they did the DPF crap) and seems most do, hence why they diesel sells for so much more. Though if I found a cheap petrol I wouldn't say no as these Toyota's are unbreakable.
I would very much like to own a Lexus with a UZ engine, and that LX470 would definitely qualify. The Mercedes is a bit too new for me. Every time I look at a new-ish Merc, I'm disappointed although that M113 engine would be nice.
that Lexus with only 224k miles is nothing just make sure Timing belt has been done , replace front seats fix paint easy 15k-20k vehicle i have been looking for one and they are always 20k where i live with way more mileage but better overall shape than this one.
The Car Care Nut has two good videos you should watch before buying a Land Cruiser/LX470. 🚙 th-cam.com/video/0h-Qz-H3VLA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/dfGTI0sWozc/w-d-xo.html
I am partial to Benz as well (even though I have never owned one and everyone always tells me Lexus is more reliable). There is just something about a Benz.
That old Lexus is gold 🪙
Love the Lexus LX 470 Mike. This is equal to the Toyota Land cruiser. They are over built and will last a long time. Bullet proof engine as well 😎😎👍👍The older one for me
You might as well buy the toyota land cruiser. Save yourself all that money. The Lexus is a glorified toyota.
LX-470 would be a great Tow Vehicle !!!
The LX470 is definitely a tank. My dad had one with 350k or so on it. Only stopped driving because my uncle totaled it.
Mike, please bid and bag the Lexus LX470. It's a perfect project for a car that deserves to live again. The CL500 is done for, There's no hope on that.

Benz all day!!! A Lexus is a glorified toyota.
Great vid, Mike! That LX470 is definitely one to save; there is a lot of life left in it. As far as the CL500 and GX460 go, they are just parts cars at this point.
Great video Mike I like the older Lexus SUV. I think I think you look good in that styling around town. Keep up the great work.
I like the older black Lexus suv that would be nice one to fix engine sounded great
Michael, you and Randy need to do a road trip and go. Look at cars in other states. I love it when you guys do that. Every time you guys do a video together, it's awesome.Love your show you're the best😊
Buy the older Lexus Mike. Cool tow car and easy to clean up
Skip the Benz, buy the Lexus 😊
The older Lexus
@@stevecarder3581 For sure. Shame it's got the wrong engine but that means it will go cheap.
@@2DogsVlogs I think the 4.7 is underrated…it will still go a million miles😁
The old LX is so my much nicer than the new GX (in my opinion).
Absolutely Mike and we love you You are a great person I can tell and we love your attitude and you got a beautiful smile so there's nothing to lie about keep doing what you doing salute
Lx 470 please 🙏🏻 Bring her back to her full glory❤❤❤❤❤
She still has a big following ❤❤❤
Both of the Lexus! I drive a GX 460 and it is an awesome SUV 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wouldn't touch the CL500. Go with the older Lexus.
Mike, BSM on Lexus stands for Blind Spot Monitoring. RCA stands for Rear Cross traffic Alert. Great video!

I remember seeing a green cl and blue cl600 in my city when they first came out.
Mike, you should buy that cl and make is shine again. It’s a lovely car

Hi Mike have you found a truck to do your hauling stuff for all of the cars you are working on

lx470 is nice vehicle. mercedes 2 door is interesting car i usually like something with 4matic.
Get either Lexus but like the older one.

Hey mike. Get tom and mom in that 430 ls and make a video for that.
Have a nx 450H+ 22.
From norway, stavanger
LX470 is basically your tow rig
I would very much like to own a Lexus with a UZ engine, and that LX470 would definitely qualify. The Mercedes is a bit too new for me. Every time I look at a new-ish Merc, I'm disappointed although that M113 engine would be nice.
I like the gx460
bid on the older lexus lx470
2020 Lexus
New Lexus will be a great car for you Mike
Hahah! The Merc was a brothers burn out car! RUN FROM THAT ONE!

Buy the old lexus! Just a curiosity: how many videos you record in one day at the auction? 😅
Lexus buy it too!!
FYI...The height control on the lx470 will NOT operate when a door is open.
Ac fan?
Lexus are great!🎉
Older one

Definitely the Lexus, I don't want to see you go through the Aggravation with the Mercedes, No more Gray Hair 😂
Our GX has been on the road for 21 years and still going strong. Take good care of them and they will last
That lexus is a keeper, the CL500.... run away from it.
Go with the new Lexus
No Michael, you have enough cars right now. No C L5 00
I like the v8 lexus
FWIW; I like the red one ... because it uses no paint sticks. It may need an alternator along with a new windshield.
I would thank the Mercedes for its service. 😂
Oh yeah, if you want a vehicle that on a good day gets between 8-10 mpg, then the Lexus LX470 is for you.
The audio quality isn't great.
No vin means its only a parts suv.. someone stole it and drove it hard and took the vin from it
The red Lexus very expensive here in Iraq 🇮🇶 it's worth at least 80000 $

Get the 500 if cheap enough. Good project car. If you can keeping the cussing to a minimum. Lol
I would take a BENZ all day long. Over a lexus. I am not impressed with a lexus. It's a glorify toyota.
I am partial to Benz as well (even though I have never owned one and everyone always tells me Lexus is more reliable). There is just something about a Benz.
Benz, Are reliable as long as you do scheduled maintenance. In my opinion once you have a Benz you do not go back.
Buy the newer one
