Ciao y'all! What do you think about the beauty standards in Italy vs. the USA? What is your experience? Let me know in the comments below. ❤
Hi Kenya, I've noticed Italian women do have a lot of plastic surgery such as breast implants, lip injections. Have you noticed that?
I like the Italian beauty standard much better. I think in the states the Kardashians have had such an impact on the image of women, that our beauty image doesn’t even exist. The eyebrows, the lips, the skin tone, the shape of the body, the hair, the nails are all purchased. And I also prefer the slender, well dressed Italian men.
Facts 💯
Isn't it interesting how we may be influenced by what is shown and what is classified as "desirable"? That's why I always like when people get out of their comfort zone, if they can, to see how another part of the world lives.
@@NaturallyKenyaYep, this is so true. Getting new perspectives (even from talking to friends!) is so important
I love your channel! Just FYI that the volume on this video is low (compared to other YT videos)
Thanks so much and for the note! I didn't realize it in the editing room. ☺️
Italians seem to be more fashion-forward than Americans and take on the mentality of working to live. Tfs
It certainly seems so! Although, now that I think about it, maybe some in NYC and LA could compete with the more interesting styles. Haha! But definitely a different approach, for sure.
I think it's definitely genetic! I live in Austria and have family in Germany, and there are plenty of men here who are more of the larger type of build than the smaller/more slender Italians! But personally, I like smaller men. :)
Love your channel! I used to live in Rome back in 2006 and this definitely resonates. I really did appreciate how Italy kind of forces you to stay in that self care mode. I did not appreciate seeing the women on TV being portrayed always with the most mininmal clothing! 😅 I'm not sure if that is still a thing today.
Depending on the channel, you can still find that visual 😅 thanks so much!
Great topic. Possibly worth expanding more on.
Thanks! So much to say, honestly...
