Around 3 times a year i come to youtube and rewatch all the sam\jack videos i can find. Can't help myself. Stargate had it's flaws, but this was one thing that was always insanely strong in my eyes. I usually don't love romances in tv-shows, but the way they made a pretty obvious "they-are-bound-to-be-in-love-with-each-other" message way back in S1 and then never came through with it, always teasing, making fans scream in agony at scenes like this one, was just insane. And yeah, considering the fact that deleted scenes do technically still make canon, we know they did end up together (deleted scene of "trio" in Atlantis). But on screen, they never did. And that is infuriating and brilliant at the same time. May you R.I.P., Stargate universe. You will stay in our hearts and, even if one day someone will decide to create a remake (as, well, everything gets remakes nowadays and this feels like remake-train is just starting), it will not be the same. Just...you know. Felt the need to write something along those lines.
Volthoom wow I thought I was the only 1 who did this. I completely agree tho. It was agonisingly brilliant how they teased the sam/jack relationship over the years but it also annoyed me how they held back to much at the end and now we get nothing concrete and probably never will. I wanted to see at least 1 kiss where they wherent under alien influience, alternate reality, alternate timeline or imagined.
This scene reveals so much about both of them. He knows her so well. He waits for her mouth to catch up with her brain. He won't let her leave because she starts to doubt and back track. Seeing this scene again reminds me of the ring scene. He does everything for her. Even sacrifice his own happiness. She can't get out of her head long enough to see. As much as I hate Pete, he was necessary learning for Sam's development.
Love how it looks at the start that Jack seems to look at her lips a few times while they were at his door and the way he was looking at her,LOVED it just LOVED them so wished they could had had least tried to be together or if they were behind closed doors cause she was married...Wished they were able to tell there Fans but I don't believe they were cause I believe he would had taken better care of him self !!
